Setup and installation were straightforward, simply insert the battery (only goes in one way), install the software and connect via USB. Two things: always good to buy a bit more capacity then you actually need, and use something equivalent to protect your media devices (TV, blu-ray player, game systems).

Should have bought it earlier. The digital read-out monitors power use, events that have occurred, power output and other useful information. No, you don't need all that info, but I like to know it's there when I'm curious. I have another APC Back-UPS 550 that will be replaced with one of these in the near future.

Doesn't last as long as expected

Great comfort

It gives me comfort to know I will have time to save my work before shutting the computer down if we lose power again. I love the led display letting go you know the remaining time on the battery.
