Excellent backup for mid range pricing. I didn't go all out and buy a big backup, but this does the trick to keep my modem and router running when the power goes out. I got it on the deal of the day, so the price was great.

I have been using this product for a long time now and am very happy. It has been put to the test more than once and performed nicely!

This is an outstanding unit for use at home for a short term backup of the power. It gives you time to save what you are working on and close the programs you are using. It also protects the unit from power spikes. Great for the cost.

Purchased this one to replace our old APC unit as it was 5 years old and finally died. This one works as it should and charges a lot faster than the ones did. I would buy this again if I need to the extra battery backup power,

We use APC on all of our cash registers and are great for protecting us during a short power outage and also protects our equipment from a power spike due to lighting.

I got this APC BN1080G UPS as a filter/back-up for my DTV receiver, Sony flat screen and DVD player to filter/back-up intermittent power fluctuations. It handles those components easily and I'm happy with the purchase.

I've always owned APC products, so when a unit failed after 6 years of continuous use I chose to replace what I had with a newer model. Easy setup and my computer equipment is protected once again.

Having utilized surge protection devices only heretofore to handle power surges, following our move to South Florida, I find it necessary to again revert to UPS battery backup power supply, inclusive of ample surge protection. This is the best of both worlds, i.e. power surge remediation plus the provision of backup power, allowing sufficient time for safe "shut down" of critical electronic devices. Having had and having been highly satisfied with APC brand UPS units before, they were my choice this time as well.

For my set-up (PC, Monitor, Modem, ext drive) the draw is 140W which it reports a duration of 33 min run time (W/O Power). I did have hybernation wake up issues after installing the powerchute software. Un-installed it and back to normal now, but also no auto shutdown alert :( Not an issue I guess since we loose power from time to time, but only a blip.

This is the ultimate in protection. Not only does it provide an excellent battery back up but nothing works better for surge and lightning protection. You spend all kind of money on a product, protect it.

It works as advertised, easy to set up and many outlets with both battery back up and surge protection. Overkill for laptops, but great for a home office setup.

I am happy with the amount of battery in the expansion pack - this truly is 4x more packs for tripling the 2 in the base unit. Photo attached to show the insides for those who are curious.

APC is THE leader in home & commercial AC Mains protection. There is an ice storm outside as I type this, the intervention was immediate and kept the PC, Printer, and two Monitors protected from damage.

Has a lot of outlets which can handle a lot of components. Love that it was thinner than my previous one. Ended up purchasing a battery for my old one and moved it to some medical equipment upstairs.

I was looking for something with the same features as my existing back-ups 1300 XS, and this fit the bill. The smaller size is nice, and the power capacity is still more than enough for a computer and more. The features look just like the 1300 (display shows line in/out voltage, current power consumption, estimated minutes remaining, etc.), and it has the usual APC USB connectivity, which is great for having a PC automatically shut down when the battery level gets low during an outage.

I can watch the total watts consumed from the mains or a number of other displayed values. What I like best is that this switches from mains to battery power without a hitch whenever the electricity is out. This is my 2nd unit and they're both working perfectly. I can have up to 250W of equipment on battery backup so that is why I bought this unit for my desktop computer. I like that it stands upright instead of laying down - takes up less desk space.

I purchased this ahead of Hurricane Irma striking central Florida and I'm so glad I did. We lost power and this helped keep our cellphones charged for the next couple of days.

I've bought many APC Back-UPS over the years and they always just work. I usually get 3-5 years out of the battery, and then just replace the whole unit instead of swapping out the battery.

I always use APC products when buying or recommending battery backup solutions. This unit is connected to my 60" LED 3-D TV and PS3, I cannot tell what the actual run time is, but I like the high quality surge and brownout protection a battery backup provides. This unit was the right size and cost for what I was looking for and looks good in my home theater stand. I would recomend this to anyone shopping shopping for a good quality surge arrestor or small UPS.
