This was my first brand new, not refurbished iPhone. I had a 6s 32 Gb and this 2020 SE has 128 Gb and man it is SUPER! The video and pics are amazing, every function a dream, I do recommend buying the iPhone 7 Battery case it fits perfect and gives the A 13 CPU all the juice it needs expanding usage to two days for me very good value for the money and then some !

    Great Apple Product

I LOVE apple products, I went from an IPhone 7 to this IPhone SE and I’m loving the new bionic A13 chip, it is fast. The size of the SE is the same size as my IPhone 7, which is perfect for the small wristlets and purses that I normally carry. It is also bigger than the IPhone 12 mini and less money. For the difference between 4G and 5G appears to be negligible. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this iPhone SE for my 11 yr old. He's been pestering me for a year for one. I finally broke down and got him this iPhone SE and he couldn't be happier. Easy to use and navigate, perfect size for a kids hand and pocket. I also got him a WSD glass screen protector and a clear Orbit otterbox style case on Amazon which works great together for maximum drop protection.

Less Space in Pocket, More Money in Wallet

With cell phones getting more and more expensive, I decided to go cheaper. I had been upgrading to the larger plus models over the last several years. But, honest to God!, what do you want your phone to do? As far as functions go, I use this phone in exactly the same way my wife uses her iPhone 11, including streaming video, taking good pictures, sinking to our other smart devices, and other stuff. I know that there are things the iPhone 11 does that my SE doesn't, but I don't need those things. Before you upgrade to newest model with all the bells and whistles, think about whether you are actually going to use all that stuff. This $400 iPhone will meet your needs at a much cheaper price. You might even find this smaller phone that takes up less space in your pocket will also take up less space in your life!

    Basically what I wanted

I have had an iPhone 7 since the Note 7 was recalled. In the last year or two the phone has gone through hell. Its gotten a cracked screen, burns on the display, and really bad port to charge the device. I held back from upgrading the latest iPhones because I didn't think I needed the upgrade besides the storage space. I only had 32GB on mine. After seeing some friends and family with their iPhone X or 11 Pros, I noticed how I didn't like the home button not being there. Everything was more gestures and stuff. This phone gets announced and I figured it'd be a nice gift for my mom since she has the iPhone 8, but after a while it sounded like a good phone for me! I'm not taking the greatest photos, have that many apps or anything. As much as I'd prefer to have the size of the 8 Plus or whatever its basically what I have now but upgraded internally. I like the fast charge and wireless charging feature, as well. I'm happy with my purchase.

Waited a month to review as this phone is my daily driver. I have been a sucker for smaller firm factor phones as carrying a tablet makes no sense to me. This phone is crazy fast, great camera, waterproof and has wireless charging. Software is as you expect simply the best for a mobile device. The only hit was I with they could have made the screen taller so I could keep the home button. Yes I love the home button and for me was a huge plus for getting the phone. I have moved on to the wireless headphones so the loss jack wasn’t a negative for me. I pair this with my iPad mini 5 so when I want to read, review excel or PowerPoint for work or simply join a WebEx call I use the iPad. For calls and texts I use the iPhone but for work, browsing or media consumption I switch devices. This way I don’t compromise due to a small phone or lug an oversized phone with me everywhere I go.

I broke my iPhone 6s and needed a new phone. Didn't want to pay over a grand for the tablet we call the 11 pro, but I did want the new tech that comes with it. The same chip, smaller size, and 1/3 the price is a ridiculous deal. If you look up the 2020 SE, most articles are calling this the best deal apple has ever had. Better yet, since it's the same size as the iPhone 6-8, if you have an older case or screen protectors laying around, you can throw it on this thing as well.

I've been waiting for a new SE for quite some time. I was not willing at first to upgrade from the old SE due to size. Once it was available I was willing to upgrade especially based on the cost. I can not say a bad thing about the device thus far. It's incredibly snappy, and knowing Apple will support it based on the processor used is enough to keep me in this until SE3.

iPhone 11 in an iPhone 8 Body, However...

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.

Pros: - For those who prefer small compact phones - Has the A13 chip, giving it the CPU horsepower of the current iPhone 11 series - Is water resistant - Wireless charging - Display looks great, despite older generation Retina display - No intrusive notch - Touch ID for those who preferred it Cons: - Old school bezels are back, for those who are fully entrenched in the (nearly) full screen display form - No headphone jack (obviously) - Design is dated and despite all the pros, the charm can quickly wear off if you're not already a long time fan of this design - 3D touch replaced with more mediocre haptic touch - Battery life is average at best - Camera is decent, but not for picture taking enthusiasts Most of my pros and cons sum up what I think of this phone, so let me get to that "However..." from the title. I bought this phone, having eagerly awaited the next iPhone SE, which had been rumored under names like iPhone SE 2 and iPhone 9. But make no mistake, this phone is essentially an iPhone 8 with iPhone 11 internals. I waited a long time to finally see the next iPhone SE come to fruition and I even preordered it on day 1 once it was officially announced. I knew this would be virtually identical to the iPhone 8 and I didn't mind this. The idea of the CPU being as fast as the iPhone 11, the Apple ecosystem and the phone being comfortably small for my pocket is what sold me...until I actually got the phone. Don't get me wrong, this phone performs as awesomely as one can expect and then some. Games are buttery smooth and with the right case, the SE stands on its own merits. Unfortunately, I was also hoping that the more power efficient properties of the A13 chip would result in (even somewhat) longer battery life. That...turned out not to be true. The battery is easily this phone's weakest link for even moderate users. If I'm lucky, I'll still have 10% left by the end of the day. But when my days can range from typical to using the phone more heavily, that 10% is too small a margin to be left with when you can easily run out of battery completely before the day is over. That's just unacceptable to me and very disappointing, considering the long anticipation for this phone. I ended up having to get an Apple battery case (for the iPhone 7, since none is available for the iPhone 8 or SE, but it works just as well on this iPhone SE) in order to have enough battery power with get through the day with the heaviest use. Thing is, I shouldn't HAVE to require a battery case to get through a typical day. Rather, a battery case should be the exception, not the rule. After having this phone for a little over a week, I find myself deciding that as much as I love everything else about it, the weak battery life ended up being a deal breaker for me and will be returning it soon. I wanted to like this phone. And maybe for those who would only use this phone lightly, the battery is ample for them. But for me, the charm of this newest iPhone SE wears off fast once you realize that its battery life gets eaten up too quickly. If you still wish to buy this phone, please keep the battery situation in mind when you do. If you're into gaming, watch lots of vids and stream lots of music through bluetooth, you're likely to end up draining the battery completely before you go to bed and will end up having to recharge sooner than you want to. Otherwise, the iPhone SE performs as excellent as its iPhone 11 counterparts, minus the lacking camera and the other cons I listed.

I switched from my 11 Pro to this and I'm not disappointed. I love the compact size of the phone and the A13 chip it has. I sacrificed battery life and camera quality but those features on this SE are still good enough for me. The other models are just too big to carry around in my pocket, to exercise with, and for one-handed operation, so this is perfect. I hope Apple continues producing SE models.

My wife had the first gen SE and loved it for the size. They have gotten a little carried away with the larger phones. I like something a little larger than this, but understand the need for these. For the most part it is fairly close to the iPhone 11. It has the same chip, is still water resistant, and has the same camera without the ultra wide one. We can use the Qi wireless chargers that I use on my work phone which is Android. It’s a good value and performance. I have the 7Plus and will have to decide on the 11 or 11Pro is worth the extra money when time to upgrade.

I’ve been an android user since the beginning but just started considering a switch to an iPhone. The new SE was announced so I decided to grab one just to try it out before committing to a two year contract on an 11 (or 12 when it’s released). So far, I’m enjoying the phone. One thing I like about it is the size, although, the small size is also not easy on my eyes or fingertips. But there’s a zoom feature that I’ll have to consider once I’m ready to accept that I’m getting older. Anyway, good phone and I wouldn’t be surprised if I upgrade to an 11 soon.

My new SE replaced my iPhone 7. The latest A13 Bionic processor in the SE, makes it noticeably faster and smoother. If you previously owned a smaller iPhone, the new SE with it's 4.7" screen will feel very familiar. Also the smaller form factor makes it easy to use with only one hand. In spite of the 12 MP back camera having only one lens, the photo quality (color, exposure, bokeh, low light performance) is much better than my iPhone 7. Overall, the second generation SE is a great value for the money.

Finally broke down and replaced my four year old iPhone SE and I’m glad I did. I loved my old SE and wasn’t planning on replacing it until I absolutely had to. Now that I’m working from home, I needed to upgrade to do my work. Hopefully I can write it off on my taxes! I was also able to use Best Buy rewards to help defray the cost a bit. I loved my old SE because of it’s petite size, which easily slipped into my pocket when not carrying a purse. It also lasted me longer than any other brand of phone I’ve had previously. The new SE is a little bigger but much sleeker and the screen images appear to be much sharper. Reception is good too! I’m very happy with my new SE!

Excellent performance in a small package. Reminiscent of the iPhone 8 with slight changes to the edge of the screen. This can make finding screen protectors a little bit of a challenge. Stick on screen protectors can sometimes have a little halo around the edges. My phone was originally in a spigen slim case But I couldn’t find a screen protector that didn’t have issues. It now sits in a supcase unicorn beetle. Performance and battery life are fantastic. In spite of the small battery size; my battery tends to last until night time. The only real potential issue is the size of the screen at 4.7 inches. So, if you haven’t seen this one face-to-face you might want to go into the store and handle it before you buy it. It’s not an issue for me, but, by today’s standards it’s quite a small screen small screen. Overall, a great phone.

This phone replaced an iPhone 7 that had some weird unexplainable issues. Features that separate the SE from that are as follows: - Better battery life by 2-3 hours (from her usage pattern, not mine) - Wireless charging - Portrait mode (Made possible by the A13 Bionic chip) - An additional gigabyte of ram - Roughly 3x the CPU performance - eSIM support I used to play a few multiplayer games over the phone with my girlfriend and she almost always experienced lag on her iPhone 7. At times, games like Call of Duty Mobile was unusable for her, and lag spikes would transport her to random places on the map. Now she doesn't experience any of the same issues; we can both carry our team again! The iPhone 7 base model only had 32gb of storage, and that's not enough for most people. My music library would take up a quarter of that! The SE starts out at 64gb, but offers 128gb and 256gb storage tiers. For a $50 premium, I believe the 128gb tier offers the best value since it doubles the base storage. Before I gave her the phone, I quickly compared performance throughout the operating system on different websites to the 11 Pro I use. The SE offers similar performance in everything except battery life and multitasking, but for a $450 phone, it definitely holds its own. I'd even consider buying another as a backup (my first 11 Pro unit had charging, booting, and display issues within a month!). **Now that the iPhone XR's price has been cut due to the release of the 12 and 12 Pro, it'd be wise to compare the two. The iPhone XR has an older processor, but it has an edge-to-edge display and face ID for $100 more. Those who frequently wear a mask may still benefit more from the SE since it is cheaper and has Touch ID.

Love my iPhone SE 2020! I don't need all the bells and whistles of all the new iPhones so something a little simpler with some new fun stuff was right up my alley and not too different from my old phone! The camera is much improved compared to my old iPhone! Happy that it still has a home button. Love siri. Just love it can't really go wrong although headphones are different now (no headphone jack) and I don't think there is a way to charge your phone and use headphones simultaneously.
