Easily the best "Smart Watch" for iPhone Users

The Apple Watch is easily the best Apple Watch for iPhone owners, and the Series 1 is a perfectly fine choice for the average user. The battery lasts about 24 to 36 hours of battery life for typical use, and charges quicker than expected if you need a midday boost. I personally wasn't planning on swimming with my watch, so the Series 3 didn't seem necessary to me, and the over $100 price difference (when S1 is on sale) made the decision even easier. Best of all the watch has gotten me to be more active. I'm addicted to filling the activity rings and it's got me walking at least 30 minutes a day. It's paid for itself in that regard. I think overall smart watches are still a very niche product, but this is easily one of the best if you're looking to dip your toe into that pool.

Most Amazing watch EVER for ANYONE on the Go

So this was actually a gift, and my boyfriend loves and utilizes it every day. he is an Emergency Medical Technician, Baker, barista, and because he is always on the go, he doesn't always have free hands. With the email, text, or any application messaging notifications and alerts for calls - weather , photos, heart rate and health tracker he can keep track of all the things he needs to be on top of his day and stay connected with the ones he loves. there is just way to much to say about this watch. Its better you went out and Bought one yourself. Thanks BestBuy.

Received this as a Christmas present. The Apple Watch easily replaces my Fitbit. Not only is the fitness portion comparable to Fitbit, there are tons of other functions that exceed it - multiple clock face options, including customized options, alerts from text, email, and calls; as well as other app links back to you iPhone. On top of that, the watch is comfortable and stylish with easy access to swapping out the band so you can have as many combinations as you’d like.

I needed a watch that gave me the time, fitness stats and simple notifications. After going thru two Android watches - and returning them - I finally settled on the Apple Watch Series 1. So far I have been very happy with it. And the battery life is much better that the Series 0. After a full day of heavy use, I have found that the Watch has a much better battery like. And the latest iOS is much more intuitive and easier to navigate. So far, I am very pleased.

I waited a long time to jump onto the Apple Watch bandwagon. To be honest I would have preferred the Series 2 but nobody had it in stock so I settled for the 1. I probably won't need the GPS or waterproof features, though, so I don't think it'll be a big deal. I've been happy with the battery life (fwiw). I can make it two solid days without charging it and end up on day 3 with 20% or so. Even this doesn't bother me as much as I expected. I use it in nightstand mode every other night so it isn't too problematic. Keep in mind I'm using it as a watch with a few apps. I don't play music or games. I do have messages sent to it but no emails. The apps I use are the type where I'm in and out. Otherwise the battery life would likely be negatively impacted. All in all I'm satisfied with my purchase and I may upgrade to the S2 when it becomes available for the other features.

Since the day I purchased the watch it has been my favorite item to wear! It does all of the important things like texting and phone calls right from the watch as well as any notifications for other apps you would like. It’s sleek and fancy looking! I would’ve given it 5 stars if I didn’t have to always keep my phone around in order to receive any communication on the watch

    Apple Watch vs. Pebble Steel

In September 2015, I purchased a Pebble Steel, which I enjoyed using for a year. Among its many benefits are the fact that the charge lasts for several days and you can wear the watch 24/7, including in the shower. However, the limitations of the watch were becoming evident, particularly when using it with an iPhone. The watch lost connection with the phone two or three times every day, requiring me to restart the phone app, the phone, or the watch itself -- or some combination of the above that often seemed like luck of the draw. Also, the Pebble Steel/iPhone relationship is relatively one-sided; the iPhone sends notifications to the watch, but communication from the watch to the iPhone is pretty limited. As a result, the Pebble Steel wasn't untethering me from my phone as much as I had hoped. After a few weeks of researching the Apple Watch, I finally purchased one, and I've never looked back. Finally, I have a watch that gives me freedom from my phone. As a teacher, it's impractical to have my phone on me all the time, but as long as my phone and watch are on the same wi-fi network, I can access my calendar, reminders, Todoist tasks, and more, and I can add items to any of the above using Siri on the watch. I've been a Runkeeper Go user for a while, and I was surprised to find that the activity rings on the Apple Watch more than serve my purposes; they remind me to move around at least once every hour, exercise for 30 minutes a day, and burn a target number of calories daily. I thought charging the watch every day would be a hassle, but it really isn't, and I find that I usually have at least 40% charge left at the end of the day. In the end, I've only scratched the surface of what the Apple Watch can do, but I've been quite pleased with it and feel that it more than fulfills all of the features I've been looking for in a smart watch. For the record, I obsessed over whether to buy a bumper case or other protection for the watch but ended up deciding not to, and I'm more than confident in this decision; the watch feels substantial, and I'm not as worried about damaging it as I thought I would be.

I originally bought the 38mm but felt it was small on my wrist. I exchanged it for the 42mm. Glad I did!!! Watch works well and has so many options, I'm still choosing which I want! Fairly easy to use even for a technological inept guy like me!!!!

I'm enjoying learning about my new Apple Watch. Being able to text and answer calls from my wrist while busy with other tasks is great. Keeping me on track with moving and standing when I have been sitting for too long is important to me.

Well I did do plenty of research before buying my apple watch series 1. The difference in water resistance according to the companies who test them was not significant so I chose series 1 over Series 2. I have yet to really test the resistancy in the shower or pool but others have had postive results.. thus why I chose series 1. The functionality is great and I expect it will get exponentially better as mire apps and updates come out. I love seeing texts and phone calls show up on my wrist and answering both is fairly easy. The battery life has been better than expected too... i can almost get two full days out of a charge. I must say though that the best features all revolve around fitness tracking and workouts. It gets nice and competitive when you link up your fitness tracker with friends. I will be back to this review if i have any water issues with the series 1. Have had it about a mongh now.

I used to make fun of the first AppleWatch and question why anyone would truly need one. After talking to tons of AppleWatch owners on why they like theirs, I was convinced to purchasing a Series 1. I tether my AppleWatch to a iPhone 6s plus, and I love the combo! I'm on my feet a lot and use text messaging often, so I now leave my massive phone at my desk and can roam around about 50 feet away and still send and receive data. I did turn off the automatic "wake" feature to extend battery life to 2+ days with full brightness. Tapping the face of the watch to check time and messages is a small price to pay, considering the increase in battery life. Given my line of work and lifestyle, I would absolutely purchase another AppleWatch. I opted against the Series 2 because I couldn't justify the price increase for the main features not important to me- GPS and 2x brighter screen. The screen on the Series 1 is plenty bright indoors and I use Garmin cycling products for HR and GPS.

I wondered if I could justify the expense of the Apple Watch but I have found that I love wearing a watch again. it is not only an excellent fitness tracker but also it is so very convenient to see the time, weather, date, messages, and texts from your watch instead of having to pull out an iPhone or carry one all day. On a recent trip to Disney, I was able to stow the iPhone in a backpack, and not miss a beat because of the apple watch connection. I know that the new watch is out but the series 1 is no slouch. if you don't need LTE, the Series 1 is a great, affordable option.

I waited to purchase the Apple Watch until the bugs/kinks were worked out. I believe we have a winner! I settled on the Series 1 due to price and not really needing the added features of the Series 2 (GPS, brighter screen, water proof). I did plenty of research first to ensure this was the correct Series for me. I made the correct choice. I do not travel without my phone so GPS was not essential. I found the brightness to be adequate in bright sun light and only run my watch at 50% brightness. Sure waterproofing would be nice, but the resistance built into the Series 1 will do in all situations I find myself regarding water. The battery lasts all day. I usually end my 17 hour day with about 15-20% left on the battery. I do recharge every night with the super convenient magnetic charger. I generally use the work-out feature for about 1 hour each day and read texts and activate the screen 10+ times per hour. The screen is super crisp and easy to interact with. The iOS is fast and not laggy (at least for the basic apps I use). ApplePay is super convenient with the Watch and now find myself looking for places that accept ApplePay. I cannot really find much to complain about except maybe that depending on the color metal (silver, black, gold) one wants, you must accept the band color (mine was white). I purchased a black NATO Apple band for some additional variety. So far so good!

Around the time these came out, I remember thinking, "what's the point?" I didn't really see myself using it that much and felt like it wasn't a "have-to-have" item. I bought an open box item for $270 at BestBuy and after owning it for 1 month now, I can honestly say it is a great supplement to my life. It has helped me be more organized and on-time which has overall made my life easier. It is great being able to check stuff quickly without your phone (I honestly didn't think this would be that useful at first). I love the calendar function, the alarm clock, the reminders, and the ability to talk on the watch when you get a phone call! My car doesn't have bluetooth and having the ability to talk on my wrist while driving without having to touch my phone is nice (and safe). Is it a "have to have" item, No. That being said, I really have enjoyed it. Battery is typically at around 40% after a full days use which really surprised me. The updated faster processor in the series 1 is great and I haven't really been annoyed at the loading times at all because the watch is much faster. The ping function to find your iPhone is priceless if you misplace your phone as much as I do. I also bought a 3rd party band for like $50 and love it as well.

I thought the hype about the Apple Watch was just that. Hype. Well, if so, it has certainly lived up to it. I make some good purchasing decisions and some bad ones. This makes the top ten of the best. I used to be PC and firmly against anything "i". Then I bought an iMac because the price was right and I kinda wanted to see life from the other side. So... then I bought an iPhone. Then the Apple Watch. I'm a convert... so what. What pushed me over the edge into buying it was that a nurse had one and was touting the activity app. Nothing else, just that. I wanted to look into wearable tech anyway, so I figured I'd go with the (so far) tried and true. Wow. The flexibility and capability of this device is amazing, to say the least. Wireless charging, two days of battery life, heck, just the cool factor. The watch faces are customizable and well... I could go on for quite some time about it, but the bottom line is that I'm thrilled to have this strapped to my wrist. I'm not sure how much more the Series 2 brings to the table, but it is important to be aware that the Series 1 is only "splash resistant". And any stand alone features of the Series 2 are irrelevant to me since my iPhone is always on me.
