Apple Watch requires an iPhone 5 or later.
Classic Buckle, Leather Loop, Modern Buckle, Milanese Loop, and Link Bracelet bands are not water resistant.
¹Apple Watch Series 1 is splash and water resistant but not waterproof. You can, for example, wear and use Apple Watch Series 1 during exercise, in the rain, and while washing your hands, but submerging Apple Watch Series 1 is not recommended.
Apple Watch has a water resistance rating of IP67 under IEC standard 60529.
²Testing conducted by Apple in August 2016 using preproduction Apple Watch Series 1, Apple Watch Series 2, and Apple Watch Edition, each paired with an iPhone; all devices tested with prerelease software.
All-day battery life is based on 18 hours with the following use: 90 time checks, 90 notifications, 45 minutes of app use, and a 30-minute workout with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth, over the course of 18 hours.

Fascinated by technology and hopped on the bandwagon and bought the series 1. I must say, it’s a fantastic purchase and really does make day to day activities easier to track. Love the activity app and the easy to use text back feature. Loved it so much I even bought my girlfriend an apple watch.

Coming in at a more affordable price then the series 3 this watch does it all from tracking your fitness with precision to calling and texting your friends at the blink of an eye, this watch is amazing and if your not sure if your into this form of tech after you give it a shot you’ll be hooked. It looks fantastic and you can customize bands and watch faces endlessly. I recommend this watch for everyone I got my wife one and my oldest son one after I fell in love with it. Enjoy.

Combined with watchOS 3, the new CPU inside this watch makes this a watch fast. I always have my phone on me so the missing GPS is not an issue. For those people that want built in GPS, the Series 2 watches may be of more interest, as they add GPS and better water resistance as well as a brighter screen. I find I get through a day with over 50% battery left 7am to 11pm usually. For me, I find it a convenient "Helper" to my phone and I enjoy it so much that within a few days, I bought my wife her own. Both of us are happy. We even challenge each other with our step and motion count sharing. So for me SERIES 1 Great!

- A:Answer Don't necessarily believe anything about Best Buy’s “open box” items. I purchased a computer as Open box - excellent, which Best Buy tells me should include all documentstion, original packaging, full warranty, etc. Upon receipt my purchase came in bubble wrap, caps missing from the keyboard and no documentation. I attempted to get some assistance from Best Buy customer service for a replacement keyboard, but could never reach anyone who could offer any assistance, and the promises that ‘someone’ would get back with me within 72 hours was another lie from Best Buy - the most appalling thing however, when attempted to register ownership for warranty purposes, the manufacturer advised me that there was only 4 months remaining on the initial 12 month warranty. Best Buy is willing used merchandise and fail to advise their customers - don't buy anything from these crooks.

- A:Answer Yes, you can answer incoming phone calls as long as your phone is in range of the watch itself. The watch can also send and receive calls via wi-fi as long as you're connected to a known wi-fi network. You can text as well, and it works surprisingly well. You can write out each letter at a time via a little on-screen interface and the watch recognizes it and types it in for you. You can do this rather quickly and accuracy is pretty good. You can also dictate to the watch via the microphone, though the successfulness of this varies depending how noisy your environment is. Finally there's about 20 or so preset phrases you can send with the messages app and a whole plethora of emoji to scroll through.
