Great cameras

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.These Arlo's are so much better than my RIng and Nest Cams. i get 7 days of free cloud recording which is enough for my needs. both Ring and Nest charges a monthly subscription fee for recordings. the quality of the recordings are excellent in daylight, though not so great at night. overall, happy with purchase

Battery drains too fast

Not impressed so far.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.To start, I intend to update review after using system for awhile, hopefully i can give it more stars. Out of the box, 1 camera was defective. After 56 minutes on the phone, Arlo finally authorized a replacement. So I have to ship it to them, pay for shipping, wait until they approve it and then they ship me a replacement. I feel like they should send one immediately with a prepaid return label for the old one. So more money out of my pocket on the first day. Unacceptable. Another negative is it only includes one ac power cord. Yes they are battery powered, but to use all the features they need to be plugged in. Not a big deal, but the official Arlo plugs are a bit pricey. More money out of my pocket. While on the phone with customer service he politely explained that it has a 1 year warranty, but after 90 days I have to pay for customer service tech support...really? Who does this. Functionality wise it works well, other than about a 3 second lag time on live video. But thats acceptable to me for a wireless system. Overall it appears to be a quality product and the app is really nice. I have high hopes for this Arlo pro 2, but so far im a little disappointed on the first day.
