First, I am the IT Director of a mid-size agency with multiple staff and locations and I manage three security camera systems. I purchased the Arlo for home use as I didn't want to have to run wires. It was easy to set up and configure. Video clips start long after the motion should have been detected. For example my wife pulled into our driveway, parked in the garage and walked out to the mailbox at the end of the drive. The video didn't start until she was halfway down the drive to the mailbox. Her car didn't even appear in the video at all. This is on a camera that has a clear and unobstructed view of the drive from a position centered 6 over the garage door. Live view is very slow to connect. The PC interface uses Flash - which insecure, obsolete and will shortly no longer be supported at all by any browser. In one case, I got a notice of motion being detected, but the clip didn't show up in the library for over 20 minutes. I signed up for the premium service but that made no difference in the ability to capture video. A big part of the problem appears to be that all video clips are first sent to Arlo servers to be analyzed to see if there really was movement. This might be useful for a person with a small house and very fast internet service, but I wouldn't count on it.

Great clarity, great sound, easy to install, very user friendly

We have had no problems with this system. I was concerned about battery life when we first purchased it, but so far we have only had to recharge batteries once (we've had it about a month and a half).

I would recommend these cameras. They are very worth the money!

Camera works great detects all motion no issues with shadows setting it off. the only thing is it only records 10 seconds of motion so if someone is in the home its a constant barrage of notifications of movement to my email and phone.

I love the fact that cameras are re-chargeable, therefore I didn't have to hard-wire the entire system, cameras can be placed anywhere and either brought down to re-charge or plug-in the cable while mounted to re-charge, I like that you can adjust the system to fit your needs as far as sensibility to motion/sound/video quality, you may program it, may give others access so that they can also help you monitor, if needed,have options to download and keep videos (available for 7 days) or you can opt to purchase a package for a monthly fee that will give you more days of viewing access, has an indoor siren with device that could be louder though, can add an additional camera, easily sync cameras. Best Buy had the best price at the time that I was shopping for the system!

These are the best wireless camera in my opinion very long battery life get notified when theirs motion I front of my house when I'm gone every time without fail as long as you have good wifi they are awsome

Would give 5 stars but hard to get signal thru cbs walls. And house to big to central location to work. Good daylight but not in dark.

This camera monitoring system is excellent they can be mounted anywhere in a tree on your house just about anywhere. The picture quality is perfect and you have the he's as viewing everything right from your phone

These wire free security camera are the best. I use them outside and they work perfectly. What I love the most is that I can see and hear what's going on outside. I can also talk through them, very awesome. I definitely recommend it.

Packaging is horrible, period! Lots of waste and a pain to get everything un-packaged. I think I spent more time un-boxing then I did setting the cameras up. I have been with Arlo since the beginning and I love the look and feel of what they offer. I just upgraded from my first gen set and am blown away again. The app is great but I only wish to have the option of a dedicated monitor to view the cameras like on a typical surveillance set up. Setting up and installation takes no time at all. My favorite feature is the alarm, that sucker is so loud. Sometimes (rare) I forget to disarm the system and get a shock to the system when it goes off. I am sure this would scare away any would be thief. You can't go wrong here, they do it best!

After doing research I chose The Arlo 2 camera because it’s great without a monthly subscription plan. It’s a little pricier up front but it’s worth the cost in the long run. The picture quality is great.

This wireless WiFi device ( pack of 4) is just what we needed. You can turn it on and off remitely, you can monitor the room or outside anytime from your smart phone or laptop. Good quality, battery life is good as well!
