This item is very easy to setup. Complete install was 20mins. Only drawback: battery needs to be recharged after 45 days if camera is activated frequently

Alot easier than I thought it would be! Easy to set up and install outside and indoors. We are going to add more soon. Love that you can pull up the cameras on your phone anywhere.

This Arlo Pro System works good. It has a good field and a 720p resolution. Setting up was fairly easy and would recommend it.

Easy to set up. Durable. Large clear field of view

I purchased this brand after considerable research into security cameras. This brand operated in extremely hot temps, which is important as I live in the low desert. It also uses geofencing to arm and disarm, and has motion detection zones which allow you to include or exclude areas in the field of view. Unfortunately, I have found that the geofencing is very spotty and doesn't always work. I've changed the radius dimensions, which made no difference. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. My biggest issue, however, is that the motion detection zones simply don't work. I have cats, and wanted to exclude an area where they can hop up onto the table or counter. The documentation doesn't say whether these zones are inclusion or exclusion, so I tried it both ways. In either case, everything in the field of view triggered the motion-based recordings and alerts. I contacted Arlo who said I needed to update my firmware, which I had already done. Some of the Arlo forums I found had several complaints about this, most of which were never resolved. So this appears to be a problem for customers who want to use these features. It's a great feature if it works, but it never has for me. Otherwise, the cameras work well, have fairly good resolution, and the push alerts to my phone and watch work well.

These are very easy to setup and are supposed to have a 300 feet range from base station. Not so much... Will need to purchase a 2nd base station to get security coverage over entire house.

The installation and set-up was very easy. I completed it on my own, including the outdoor installation of 3 cameras, withing 2 hours. The system also easily connected to our Family Hub.

These are pretty good cameras, the fact that they are wireless is a plus. Set up was easy, I just wish they were 1080 for the price. I noticed that there is about a 10-15 lag between live and what you see on your phone / pc. This makes fine tuning the angle a bit tedious. Of course this could be my internet speed. I don't know. I will recommend these to anyone wanting simple install with good camera picture. If your more about high quality image I'd go for hard wired with 1080. Or wait and see if Arlo comes out with another upgraded version of 1080

Very easy to install. I can see everything arriving at my front and back doors using my iPhone. When I get a package delivery, I can see it, and I get a neighbor to collect it to avoid possible theft.

First of all, I love the actual system itself. User friendly. Picture is fantastic. The downside I've had might be my own fault. The batteries ran out, and we didn't charge them for a while. Life just got in the way. My husband swears he charged them, but they are not working. I really think this is user error at this moment in time. If it turns out they are broken I'll update this, but I have to tell you I loved the way the product worked while it was charged!

If you're looking for a home security system that provides easy monitoring of audio and video in or outside your home with zero installation hassle, look no further than this outstanding setup from Arlo/Netgear. One concern I have with any home monitoring system is that installation can often be a complex affair requiring custom wiring and networking expertise. Netgear has eliminated those concerns with an incredibly thoughtful design and setup process. This cameras themselves require no wiring whatsoever. A clever strong adjustable magnetic mount can be attached to trim, sheetrock, exterior fascia or even trees with a single screw. Connecting the system is as simple as plugging the small base station into power and your network router (no WiFi setup is required), inserting a battery into each camera, and then pairing them by pressing a button on both the camera and base unit. That's it. No messing with making the cameras connect to your WiFi network and no cables. The custom wireless network setup also promotes security as the cameras will not be on your WiFi network and are thus inaccessible to other devices on your home network. The system is controlled via a mobile app which easily pairs with your base station the first time you run it. Set up an account and you can then view and control the system from either the mobile app or a web browser. I tested both methods (Android app and MS Edge browser) both inside the home and from my office and in all cases the connection was easy and reliable. Performance of the system is first rate. The cameras provide HD (call it 720p) video and good quality audio. They can be triggered to record video for a user-defined period of time based on either motion sensing or noise sensing. I used the motion setup and have found it to be very reliable. You can also adjust the sensitivity to avoid triggering on small pets. All video recordings are saved for free to the cloud and kept for 7 days, after which they're purged unless you pay for longer storage. For my use, 7 days is plenty. The cameras also provide a 2-way audio communication feature so you can talk with whoever you're seeing on the camera. Good for a front door monitor. The 2-way audio works even when you're away from home. The system also allows you to construct rules for when the motion sensors will be active, including a geo-fencing option (currently in beta) that allows you to turn the motion sensors off when you're home and on when you leave. For true IoT tinkerers, the system even support IFTTT recipes so you can integrate motion sensing and mode changes with other smart devices such as WeMo lights (turn them on when motion is sensed, for example). None of this is required for operation, but it's great to have the option. The video quality is good, but what I found especially impressive is the night vision feature. I tested the video in complete darkness on my front porch and the camera showed a very clear image of the door and surrounding area. In night vision mode (which engages automatically in low light), the image is in gray scale. One concern I had with a completely wireless system was battery life. After having the system live for about a week, both cameras still report 100% battery, including one outside in low December temperatures. A charger and cable are provided and you charge the battery inside the camera unit. From what I can tell, any micro-USB charger should work fine. Just remove the camera from its magnetic mount, charge, and replace. Separate batteries and chargers are available for a quicker change out, but given that these batteries appear to last for months at a time I'm not sure that's necessary. All in all I could not be more impressed with the Arlo Pro HD system. The design, ease of installation, ease of use, battery life, and performance are a winning combination that absolutely justify the modest price premium over some other options that are available. In addition, having a custom wireless connection affords an added layer of security and ease of use. The one thing I'd like to see is 2-factor authentication on the Arlo account for added security (I should point out that the Android app supports fingerprint ID for easy login - assume the iOS one does too). Regardless of your level of technical skill, this is a great home security option which I can thoroughly recommend.

So easy to install, set up and maintain! We researched wireless cameras for nearly two years. Arlo was the best fit for us!

Simple to install and setup. Battery lasts 4-5months (depending on how much recording is done). Very good video quality during night time. Overall excellent value for the price of this system.

I love this security camera, It can be used indoors or outdoors. It sends me messages when movement is detected. This can sometimes be annoying but worth it to see what's going on at my house when I'm not here.

Use this product daily. Can't really say anything bad about the system as a whole. The battery life is nice, the app is very user friendly. Good quality. Would not hesitate to buy again!

Definitely worth every penny! The cameras has been working fine and we have charged only 3 times since our purchase (a year ago). I cannot complain about the product. It does it’s job!
