High Maintenance

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Between Arlo app changes, batteries dying, cameras needing updated I'm not sure if I would buy these again. It takes constant work to make sure all cameras are on. If you have one facing a side walk or busy street the battery dies very quickly. I purchased the pro mode and eliminated the roadway from the motion sensor and still have battery issues. The Solar panels are a great option, those too don't always keep the battery charged unfortunately. For the cost of my setup I could have had a professional security system installed. If you just want a camera or two not the worst option, more than that I would suggest a professional consultation.

Notifications are bad, smart notifications are wor
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Standard alerts will give you many false positives, so you pay monthly for the smart alerts. This allows you to filter alerts for animal, people, etc. It reads anything from a moving raccoon to a STATIC vase as a person. Also, notifications often delay 10+ minutes (a burglar would've left by then..). My garage camera alerts me if it winds, but not when a CAR leaves or enters! It's infuriating honestly. Buy it if you have a simple use case (eg door only), with no leaves, branches or animals. Anything else will make you disable notifications and use as simple recording cameras. One added star for the fully wireless implementation, which is really their strength but poor app UX and "smart "notifications make it not worth it.
