The wireless capability of these security cameras is impressive. However, in my application, where I am using them to monitor activity in a remote location, their reliance on properly charged batteries represents a potential challenge. It is unclear from the installation instructions whether the cameras send their battery status to the app being used to monitor them. In my case, even if they do broadcast that information, the remote location I am attempting to monitor makes timely battery maintenance or replacement unlikely. I simply cannot take a chance that the cameras will fail due to inadequate battery power.
