I like these cameras very much. Video quality is very very good and crisp. Easy set up and install. When opening the videos for replay, they tend to buffer quite a bit before loading but could be my slow internet connection…thanks Spectrum. The reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I don’t like the night vision video doesn’t record in color unless the spotlight is turned on. Which means if you want cameras to records video in color, the spotlight will continuously stay on…pretty sure beginning after dusk. But don’t quote me. Aside from that issue, love them. You also can set many many optional features and customizations for cameras individually perform multiple actions different ways. Even automatic settings ie cam1 to record, notify, siren or whatever when leaving house and cam2 can just do nothing. Also set preferences from when arriving back home. Genius.

The quality of the picture is better than the pro three that was replaced. Oh it doesn’t last six months unless you have it on the simplest settings but the battery definitely lasts a lot longer than my pro three was. Easily hooked up to the smart hub that I have. The color night vision is awesome you can see what color the vehicle is going by or what color the clothing is someone is walking by even the dog or in my neighbors case the cat they walk. Very happy with the upgrade. Two of my cameras did not fair weather this winter. In the picture below is a view of the camera top one is pro three bottom one is ultra two. One other thing that I like is the fact that I can add someone else to keep an eye on the house.

Even though this camera is marketed as 4K, and it has the right number of pixels to qualify as 4K, the quality of it's imagery is far below what I expect from a 4K camera. Three images illustrate my point. The first is a 4K video screen-shot from my Samsung S9+, the second is a 4K video screen-shot from the Arlo Ultra 2, and the third is a 2K video screen-shot from the Arlo Pro 4. I expected the Samsung quality, but instead I get something that is just barely a little better than the quality of the Pro 4. Bottom line, I don't think the Ultra 2 is worth $100 more than the Pro 4.

In daytime, I can see my surroundings but I don’t know what lurks in the dark. With 4K, motion activated flashlight, and siren capabilities, I feel like I can be in defense for what’s happening after dark too. Peace of mind at all times for me knowing I’m able to protect my family and the things we treasure.

My Arlo Pro stopped working so I upgraded to Ultra 2. The good: 4K quality video is available. Auto zoom and tracking locks in on a person walking toward or away from camera. Good audio quality. Captures a person, car, animals, and birds! Three camera angle settings, Super Wide 180, Wide 155, or Full 120 degrees. I can fully cover my wider than normal driveway. Activity zone will zero in and capture a selected area. The not so good: Pricy. Night images are not clear. However, if you choose to turn the auto spotlight on, it will capture decent color images. I just do not want my neighbors to hate me! Arlo will be going subscription soon. This means no videos can be saved without a subscription!

I purchased this as an add on to my existing Arlo Ultra. I am using as an indoor camera and love that I can keep an eye on my puppy in her crate while we are gone for just a few hours The audio works great and if she fusses I can talk to her and she settles down. The picture quality is perfect and covers a wide area. Using this to ‘spy’ on the dog has its disadvantages though. I get an alert every time she moves. Besides watching the dog I feel confident that when not home we can keep an eye on things in general. My only complaint is the service one must pay for monthly. It’s a pricy investment but worth the peace of mind

These Arlo 4 K Cameras are clear and are definitely a deterrent. Sometimes they go offline for no apparent reason but usually recover quickly. I have additional solar panels that I purchased with the cameras because I didn’t want to change batteries. I highly recommend doing that.

i have had the arlo pro 2 before and i thought going to the ultra for the 4 k would make a much better difference, its true you do get a better picture but when you try a zoom it become much less quality. Battery is ok not bad, the ease of removing it you need a tool to do that but i see they changed that to a button now. i just fell that the price for the quality doesn't quit match up. and if you want the recording feature it become expensive because you have to pay for each camera, the magnetic mount isn't as versatile as the pro 2 camera as far as angle, over all i gave it 3 stars, there is room for improvement.

Cameras are good quality, the battery lasts for ages and the add-on solar panel keeps them charged to the point where I only have to put this on a charger once per year, even in the cloudy northwest. That said, the app is terrible. It will periodically sign out without warning, meaning that the cameras don't function. No notifications, no recording, nothing, potentially for days if you haven't checked the app.

Only reason i gave a 4 isn't cause of the camera itself but more so of the Arlo software , the camera is excellent and a must buy for anyone whom wants to protect their home, Yet the issue is when you turn off vehicle detection setting the Camera continues on detecting that traffic prompting excessive alerts/recordings which kind of beats the purpose, specially if you live on a busy street.

Overall the camera has really good quality video. The hardware quality needs some improvements. I notice after a lot of use the camera functions start failing. It’s not one particular issue but intermittent problems that mostly come and go with time. It could be in the firmware, but I’m not sure. I update the camera when I get notified. I have used solutions to problems provided by Arlo and sometimes the issues get resolved and sometimes they do not. But, overall a good company with good products.

I've been using Arlo Pro 2 cameras for several years and was looking to upgrade to the 4K. This was exactly what I wanted and will continue to purchase more as budget permits. That's the only negative thing I have is the high price point but Best Buy is still the cheapest place to purchase if you wait for a sale. And fortunately they have them often.
