I had better WiFi service with my previous modem. WiFi is not stable.

We were experincing sporadic outages at the house with our internet connection. A chat bot with Optimum created a service ticket for a tech to come out to test the equipment / lines in the area. After all the testing / poking, it was deemed the modem was the issue. Sine we purchased our own moden in lieu of renting one, it had to be replaced. Searching the interweb for which modems were compatible with Optimum service, this modem popped up as match for the service we have in the home. I was lucky enough Best Buy had one available. Bought it on line, picked it up in the store and went home to swap out the old for the new. Installed the new modem, less than 5 minutes and went on the mobile app to create a chat so the modem information could be relayed and service initiated. 25+ minutes later, the lights started flashing and we were back in business. Overall a great product. Easy to set up and install. Hopefully this one last as long as the first. Very happy with the purchase.

Compact in size, works as it should. Dose seemed to run hot. I was able to get higher speeds then offered by my ISP. Wish the newer version was available. My previous Arris lasted for 10+ years. Replacing because the speed is capped at 500mb otherwise it still works great.

Outstanding product. Very simple to assemble.Very sizeable that would fit in a small compact space. Very affordable. Lightning speed that connect with a flip of a switch.

Product is easy to set up, except dealing with the internet provider. Also reliable and allows great download speeds. Have no complaints, this is my third Arris Modem(first modem was older so replaced, and second one got taken out by a lighting strike).

We came home from our vacation and found out that our internet had been off for several days. I called Mediacom and had them ping my modem, and it showed as connected from their end, but my router showed no internet. For whatever reason, it appeared that the modem was connected, but no signal was coming from its ethernet connection to the router. I tried both replacing the cable, and then tried to connect directly to the modem with two different laptops. No signal, no soap. I found this modem on BestBuy, but the box and description did not specifically guarantee it would work with Mediacom, but was compatible with most cable systems. I hooked up the modem and use used the Arris app to configure it. As instructed by the App, I had to call Mediacom to get the modem provisioned and configured, but the call did not take long, and Mediacom showed me as connected. I still had to complete the steps required by the modem and go all the way through and complete its setup process, but when I did, I was connected. Everything has worked perfectly since and with the DOCSIS 3.1 modem, I am getting the full benefit of my Gigabit internet service.

It's smaller than many I've used before and lightweight! Doesn't take up much space and has ample ethernet connection spots! It was also easy to install and was as fast as my internet connection allowed it to perform! Bonus- It's been on sale!

I had to upgrade my cable modem as the previous surfboard would not have given me the speeds I had just switched to with Comcast. I previously had 125 mbps and upgraded to 500 mbps. The old cable modem would have capped the speed at not much more than 150. This is a similar model to the last one but obviously can handle DOCSIS 3.1 (faster speeds). It is a similar design and a bit smaller as I had to move one of the screws on the wall, where I hang my cable modem. It was easy to set up and has given me the full speed, as promised by Comcast. I have nothing to criticize on this as it does exactly what I want and was probably the easiest part to upgrade in the whole process of changing speeds. I don't notice it running hot but it sits on a wall behind a chest of drawers and is largely forgotten about. It has been bullet proof and not needed any type or reset since it was installed, back in November 2019. The wi-fi routers I use with it took about a month to get installed properly but this cable modem has been great and I definitely recommend it if you subscribe to any speeds above 150 mbps.

This modem is compact, compatible with Xfinity, and covers my home very well. Good price and very easy to install and setup. Satisfies all my requirements.

Great Product. This product is slim which if your like me then the space where you put your internet materials is limited. Additionally, while using this modem I received lighting quick speeds. I additionally like the 2 Ethernet ports in the back (make sure to check with your ISP if you pay for more than one public IP address) this gave me flexibility in my home networking needs. For this price, this modem cannot be beaten. It also one of the most accepted modems which allows flexibility in ISP providers.

Very good working DOCSIS 3.1 modem for internet services. Easy to set up for the most part, very compatible with just about every cable provider, small and compact. It was worth buying a modem rather than renting one and paying the monthly fee from my provider. Also works in conjunction with any wireless router. I will say that before purchasing, please double check with your cable provider to see what modem you need because some providers will still let you use DOCSIS 3.0 but some will require 3.1

We’re using it in a metal building and have had no issues losing service. It was also super easy to set up.

This is a solid, reliable modem. I bought this after reading plenty of reviews and reading about its features as well as that of the competitors. So far it works well without a fuss. Sometimes I may lose wifi signal and have to turn my modem and router off and on again but I think it's probably my cable provider's router which I'm still using since it's free. I like that it's compact, about ~4.5 inches deep and the same size tall. It was actually quite a bit smaller than the modem that I was renting from optimum. I only have a couple of qualms: 1. The Modem is advertised as being a 2 Gb router. The reality is that it is a 1Gb + 1Gb router. That means that even if your cable provider gives you a plan bigger than 1 Gb internet, the maximum speed this modem supports on any given ethernet port (it has 2) is 1 Gb. In order to use the full 2 Gb, you would have to purchase another IP address for your house/apartment. 2. I've heard that it runs a bit hot. As a result, I ended up buying a cooling fan to put on top of it laying on its side to keep it cool. It was inexpensive and it'll protect my investment in the long run. 3. I was actually more expensive at another site that I don't want to mention, (but let's just say that they are named after a large rainforest in South America) than at BestBuy. If you can get it for less than $150, it's an excellent deal. As it stands, it's just ok. I bit the bullet and bought it because the other site was out of stock and I didn't want to keep paying my ISP $10 a month on modem rental fees.

The overall performance is incredible and the speeds are unmatched compared to my last modem. Easy to assemble and use. Connected immediately as soon as we plugged it in.

I was having problems with my Xfinity modem/router(s), and decided to try an purchase my own hardware. This modem was an easy self-setup, and so far it works great! No spinning wheels of death due to buffering data issues anymore, and no more rental fees for Xfinity equipment. I am pleased with the results so far with this modem.

I've been using this modem for over 1 year. The initial setup was easy. An additional ethernet port for a second IP address (from the internet provider) is avaiable if necessary. Fast, troublefree modem. Clear instructions from Arris on accessing modem settings via the modem app.
