I bought this for my little sister for her school assignments , worth buying .

I wil be starting college in the fall and will see how well the computer works.

Good for beginner not good for regular users. To slow for fast projects

You get what you pay for. Works fine for my needs . The key board flexes a lot.

It is OK for what you pay for,they should tell people that you have to pay more to play dvd's because it dose not come installed with one or that you gave to download a free one that you can use because Microsoft is not putting them in and it says that you can play DVDs in the product info when you read up on it

I'm a student in college and I needed to purchase a new laptop as my old Chromebook fell apart. I purchased this laptop for $300 over the weekend for me and my girlfriend primarily for study and work, however, it turns out this laptop is capable of a little bit more. It handles school work perfectly fine, and it's great for surfing the internet. I haven't tried yet but I'm confident it will handle Hulu, Netflix or any sort of streaming an average person would want. You can even run some light weight games on here such as Hearthstone, Counter-Strike on lower graphics settings, or classic (dated) games such as Morrowind quite nicely. While it's not a gaming laptop and can't run modern games, these small bonuses are appreciated by me, since I've had hand me down computers in the past that weren't capable of these things. The Intel i3 Processor and 4 GB of RAM should be able to handle most everyday business the average person could throw at it. Also, this computer comes with Windows 10, which is nice once you get used to it. Now, on to the physical aspect of things. The computer looks nice, I like the color and metal look to it, however it is plastic and it feels somewhat flimsy, I feel like it wouldn't be able to take any more than a few falls. On the left side of the base includes the standard fare of ports that you would see on the average laptop: USB, Ethernet, headphone jack. The keyboard is nice, the touch pad is okay, and the ASUS SmartGesture makes navigating pretty smooth. Speakers are pretty good, and the screen is nice with a 1366x738 resolution. As far as energy goes, the laptop charges fully in about an hour and a half, and has a battery life of about 2-4 hours depending on what you use it for. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase, my girlfriend likes it too, but hasn't used it as much as I have. It fits my needs pretty well which are school work, studying and a little entertainment. It's a nice size, and looks good, but may lack portability in my opinion, due to size and fragility. I feel like this is a good laptop for the average person/student on a budget like myself. If you take good care of your things and are careful with what software you download, it should last a good 2-3 years or more depending on if you want to upgrade by then. Excellent value for money. Easy to set up , the sales staff was excellent.

Loved it at first until the charger port shorted out. I had to purchase another cord. It worked only about another month. I was reimbursed for cord but was a litte over the warranty. Tried to have computer fixed and it was unfixable. Thank goodness I didn’t spend that much for it.

So far easy to navigate. Bought it for videos. So far I am enjoying it.

Processor is slower than I thought it would be. Otherwise works fine.

the overall performance is just okay if you are using the laptop for simple tasking like simple web browsing or social media such as facebook, twitter. But if you use the computer more and involve download, upload, it will be a little too slow and I don't have the patient to wait for it.

Laptop quit working after 32 days. Took back and was told no exchange after 15 days. Told to ship back to Asus myself, nice Best Buy, way to back product. Then was told there may be a charge from Asus. Closing my account with Best Buy.

Great laptop for a beginner there is nothing really special about it
