Asus laptop -bought on 11/6/20
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this product as it was recommended by a person in geek squad. I know nothing about computers, so I had to ask someone, and I was not disappoint. I bought this for about $999 instead of $1200 and they gave me money back for the price change - it went lower and I got the difference! The laptop itself isn’t heavy and has a lot of space. It’s fast and easy to use. The battery is good IMO, it’ll last a couple hours depending on what you’re running (I’d say about 7 hrs). It’s quick and easy to charge and the 2-in-1 comes in handy as well. I personally loved the product.

Great Student Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is great for the price. I needed a laptop for graduate school and this seems like it will be able to handle any spreadsheet or documents I need. Per usual, I find the trackpad annoying but that's easily solved with a wireless mouse. I have a small desk, so it's handy to be able fold the laptop and use it that way instead.

Super fast computer for multiple application use.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this computer for PDF, Microsoft word, and web. I have usually all three opened for work and will be going back and fourth through all three applications. The computer is fast and screen is a perfect size for me to carry to the job site. Highly recommend this computer for work or school. But if very high efficient in web browsing and having at least 6 web pages open and using other applications at the same time. It starts up very fast as well. The keyboard is lighted for use at night which I use a lot. I also connect a second screen to this laptop when at home and makes it super easy. Very happy with this computer. One of my best buys yet. No pun intended.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer when we were suddenly sent home for work due to the virus. ASUS is one of my favorite brands. Good processor in my opinion. Runs very well. Wish it was a little cheaper but it was worth it

System doesn't permit flashing BIOS
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved this computer when I bought it. 1TB, i7, the best you can get if you are someone who want to deal with a lot of data. The issue that I have with is that the plugin AC systems message keeps displaying even when the computer is fully charged or connected to power.

ASUS 15.6" Touch Screen Laptop-Versatile & Durable
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second ASUS laptop, and I updated to this Q526F model because of the exceptional durability and performance of my previous model (K50i) - there was never a mechanical or technical failure in approximately 10 years, including extended travel use (versus old Lenovo models that crashed repeatedly). This Q526F model pros: Exceptionally sharp display - even with my poor eyesight I can see smaller fonts clearly on the screen. Easy touch on the keyboard - previous model had deeper movement on each key. Touch screen is a nice addition for quickly scrolling or enlarging an image. The keyboard can be folded completely behind the screen so that the whole system can be used like a touch pad. 16 GB memory and 128 GB solid state drive provide a much quicker response than my old system (with I agree was dated!). 1TB hard drive will likely meet all of my storage needs for home use. Light weight and about half thickness of my previous model, yet screen size is as large. Backlit keys on keyboard. Things I had to get used to: Hinges on the screen cause the whole keyboard to lift when you open it. Although this is a positive for providing slight tilt to the keyboard, it is awkward to open. Function keys are in different places: for example pgup, pgdn, home and end are near the center and a bit hard to find when I want to quickly move in a document. Zero on the number keypad is off-center. I keep hitting the decimal when I am entering numbers on a spread sheet. Volume keys operate with ctrl rather than fn key. No cd drive. Two drives C: and D:. For large photo storage, I realized I had to use the D: drive for the 1TB access. So far, I am very pleased with this new ASUS model for my type of home use. Note: I am not a gamer nor do I use this computer for heavy streaming. Look for a good sale at a retailer. You shouldn't have to pay the MSRP.

Best laptop I’ve ever had…
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best value. This is my work laptop and I can honestly say it is the best laptop I’ve owned. It’s four years old now and it still works perfectly and it is still fast. I’ve had no issues with it at all. I totally recommend it.

The important stuff is great but a few quirks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop has performed well so far in the important ways - speed, and abillity to handle multiple large programs at once. Also the lightweight, slim design is perfect. But it has demonstrated some quirks so far that I'm not loving. 1) Although it has a number pad, it is a condensed version with narrow keys and the enter sign directly below the 3 - so it doesn't really work like a 10-key as I'm used to. I wish I had taken note of that before buying. 2) No warning when the battery is going low - it just blinks off suddenly. 3) It asks you if you plugged in headphones every time, and they won't work until you say yes. I guess that is the combined headphones/headset feature, but it is annoying. 4) The power cord is cheesy - very lightweight and gets super hot at the outlet. For the price I would have expected a heavier power-supply style cord.

This computer is great!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is extremely fast and amazing! Resolution is great! ASUS provides an "splendid" option where I can change the screen lighting to "blue" eye option; eye care. Otherwise, the main reason why I brought this computer was because my old computer was a 6 years old Toshiba with 8GB Ram and it stopped working on me. This computer (ASUS Zenbook) however, with 16GB RAM, a hybrid hard drive (1TB drive, 128GB SSD) is capable of meeting my needs in which I have multiple tasks open depending on the circumstances. Battery life is fine. The battery life heavily depends on what are you doing. If you're brightness is high, doing multiple video calls in a day and doing multiple tasks, it can take a toll on the battery. Otherwise, the battery life lasted me for like 9 hours. Hardware is well built, highly recommended for personal or professional use.

No problems as of yet with light use!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it at home and haven't really taken it out due to Covid... But it's been pretty reliable and no issues at all. Not even with Windows updates (knock on wood) - It's as quick as the day I got it, Even with all the apps I got loaded up on it. Bluetooth and WiFi work great. Every once in a while the 5G will be a bit weak but that's fair due to distance between router. No noticeable difference between 5G and regular WiFi... They sound great with the built in speakers, and connects without hesitation to bluetooth devices/USB. Keyboard has a nice backlight with 3 brightness settings., and a numpad which is rare on laptops nowadays imo. Great battery life - With just browser running, Lasts about 10 hours! 8 with other things, 4-5 if running intensive stuff. Value: Well.... For the SSD/HDD size... It could of been larger for the price of the laptop.... But it is what it is... It was kind of a big thing to me... But for now 1TB is enough for me... Can always buy a portable SSD for more space if it's so crucial, but that's just me...

2-in-1 power house...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is about as premium of a laptop as you can get, sure there are other ones that are a little better but at a much higher price point... i7 processor, touch screen, flip-able to work as a "15.5 in tablet". The screen is a little reflective but I am coming from a Samsung that has a matt finish anti glare screen so adjusting, but it is a fantastic looking screen and again, touch screen. All around I think this is a fantastic laptop and more power and storage (1TB hd and a 128 ssd ) than most people will ever need... I do wish it had a couple more usb slots but that is just a minor pick...One last thing, this laptop turns on pretty fast and that surprisingly was something I noticed right from the first time using it and still notice it every time I use it.... If your on the fence about it I would say go for it as it really is a lot of laptop for the money...

Great laptop, little downfalls
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy the laptop for the most part. It always runs very fast and doesn't seem to ever slow down. The screen is bright and sharp, The laptop is put together very well and with good materials. The only complaint I have with the construction is the trackpad seems to be a little wiggly. But it is still good enough to use. The other complaint I have with the laptop is the battery life. It doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long and I struggle to make it throughout the day without having to plug it in. The keyboard is nice and the keys feel soft, yet responsive. I do wish the num lock key had a light on it, as I often press it by mistake because it is right by the backspace button and I can't tell if it is pressed or not.

An efficient computer for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this laptop because my dell inspiron 15 died on me. I was debating on purchasing a laptop versus a computer as laptops long-term life span is minimal. However, I can say this is by far my favorite laptop, the amount of tabs I can have open without worrying about the computer slowing down is amazing. The touch-pad is not my favorite feel stiff (personal preference) but it is easily fixable with an external mouse. Easily turns on and shuts down compared to my dell which I had to wait 2 minutes just to shut down and close my laptop. Haven't had an issue thus fur. Battery power is solid. The keys feel nice to type and the brightness for me is perfect, as I prefer a dim brightness at the lowest setting and adjusts perfectly for my preference. So far so good, it's the perfect size for me not to big to be a bothersome to carry or too small for screen size, it is in the middle. and the matte finish is a win for me.

Everything I need!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is perfect for me. I transitioned from my very old desktop and speed and storage were my main concerns. The laptop keeps up with my impatient fingers. Very happy for my use Excel, Word, Outlook, and browsing. Lots of zoom meetings during quarantine. I don't use the tablet option, seems too bulky to use in that manner, I have an Ipad I can use. Just a couple of things that I had to adapt to: 1. No back lights to show if the Num Lk is on, nuisance because the page up and down are on the number keys, so if NumLk is on, can't use the page up and down, have to play to see if it's on or not. 2. Sometimes the touchpad gets locked/ turns on/off, not sure how I'm doing that, I'm sure I'm hitting something, so I made a cheat sheet on my desk on how to turn it off. Other than that, super happy!

Perfect laptop for non-gamers/non-editors
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had this laptop for around a week, but so far it has lived up to every expectation I had purchasing it. Coming from someone who doesn't game or edits videos (someone who has no use for a high-end graphics card), this laptop delivers in every way. Visually, it has a very thin bezel and the screen displays very nicely. The keyboard works and feels amazing with an adjustable white back light. The port selection works for me as I use the HDMI to access an external display and one USB for my mouse and the other for charging a speaker. The fans have a very quiet maximum volume which is nice and I haven't noticed the laptop heat up much at all when downloading software. Another cool feature is facial recognition when unlocking a PC that I wasn't previously aware of. My only minor grievance thus far is that this model doesn't have a name so it was hard for me to find more information on the product before buying it. This laptop likely won't wow or disappoint you in any one category, but is a very reliable machine that is comparable to much more expensive models from other brands.

Great Buy
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not going to lie - when I first bought it the price hurt but it has gone through alot in the last 5-6 months. Multiple online classes, steam games, zoom meets. Sometimes some or all of these running at the same time. If I'm using it just to type out essays and search websites the battery life lasts the whole day + some of the next day. If I'm running multiple things like my games and the meets or my game and Netflix then the battery lasts about 3 hrs. It is an amazing- very versatile laptop.
