Went Beyond My Expectations

It is fast it has all the ports you need, battery life has been good for me on average use. has a nice clean look to it. i didn't go in for this device specifically but i haven't regret it since i purchased it. The track pad does have a lag in it but if it really bothers you i bought a Logitech wireless mouse and now its faster than ever which i would recommend getting. For all the specs at this price i don't think you can beat it right now. I use this for several purposes School, Writing, and Video gaming. I love it!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've bad experiences with 2 HP laptops, but got an HP all in 1 desktop touchscreen for the house and that's a great PC! Previously I was using a Toshiba laptop touchscreen which was very thin and lightweight so I can throw it in my purse on the go. Since I took up photography I was looking for a similar size/weight touchscreen like the Toshiba, but with better graphics for editing. After spending about 45 minutes with the sales associate he showed me this ASUS in "Open Box". We took it out and I looked it over and immediately was impressed by it's sleek matte black/charcoal design. I'll say that I'm extremely happy with this ASUS & I'm impressed with all that came on it. Intel Core i7, NVIDIA Geoforce and 1TB + 128GB I have thousands of photos on it that I haven't transferred to my external HD and I still have plenty of space left! It's pretty fast also when editing, but I have to be careful when browsing the web or typing docs when LightRoom is open as is does slow it down a bit. It's a lot bigger and heavier than I had before so I just use a backpack now when I carry it with me. I've had it a year now and I can edit for hours unplugged until the battery gets low!

Neither Best Buy or ASUS can figure out a fix. I intended to use this quite a bit for document review and markup with a stylus while traveling- not going to work for that purpose because of the keyboard not turning off when the screen is flipped all the way around. Other than that, the storage, memory and speed are all suitable for graphics heavy processing (ArcGIS and ENVI).

In order to improve the touchscreen responsiveness and stability, please keep WINDOWS up to date. If you are accessing web applications, please verify if the laptop has access to an established router and internet service is working properly since this will affect the responsiveness of the touchscreen.
To completely disable the keyboard in tablet mode, please ensure the laptop is folded properly, all the way, in tablet mode.

Great Specs at a Low Price

I swapped for this 2 in 1 ASUS and was lucky to get it at a discount so price difference was minimal. Not only are the ASUS fans quieter, but the specs are much better. I’m very pleased with this purchase and would recommend ASUS if you’re looking for an affordable laptop with great specs.
