    Overall a good PC.

So first, I ordered it Monday at about 8:50 AM. I picked it up from the Post Office Tuesday at 3:50 PM. So shipping was great, however I was disappointed with the packaging. Now to the Laptop, the first boot up was kind of slow but it was alright. Out of the box the speed was awesome, there was no lag of any sort. I read the reviews on this before I purchased it, so I knew I was taking a gamble. Sometimes when I open it from rest, the mouse is disabled which confuses me. Also i'm not sure if it cuts off on me sometimes or if I just press the power button by accident, as it is poorly placed on the left side. It does get warm at times, but this is expected when you put an all aluminum product on your lap for extended periods of time. The screen is awesome and the feedback is great. Overall I think this was a good purchase. I say think because this product is still fairly new to me. I will be using it for school. Besides the few problems I think are SOFTWARE issues, I think it is a pretty solid computer and I would recommend it to anyone.

I'd really give it 3.5 stars

I really like the large screen and the solid keyboard. I'm really really happy to be liberated from the dreaded Windows 8. This is the first touch screen I've ever owned and I find it useful in some applications. This is the only devise in my home that looses connection and has slow downloads in the family room; I almost always have to use my hotspot. I've regularly used the touch pad on other laptops; they were separate tabs that I could feel the division. I've had to add a mouse. I would prefer the power button to be up on the keyboard so that I knew for sure what I was touching, its a little annoying to have to lift the machine to see the power button. I'm going to say that I would recommend the machine because its not terrible, but its not great. For my next purchase I'll look for a machine that I can give five stars.

Although there is always a learning curve, this computer works great for my needs. It is used to maintain my Etsy shop, so many pictures are edited on it. It is also great for maintaining the shop, although it does have trouble keeping up with the graphics when I am moving photos around.

I bought this laptop partly as a backup for my video editing job. I primarily use a desktop to edit. It runs cool and the design is sleek. I do with however, that the speakers weren't on the bottom. The only problem I have with this is the mouse sometimes disappears and I have to flip it into tablet mode and then back to desktop to get the mouse pointer back. It's annoying. Also, recently while editing in Premiere the whole laptop has been freezing and turning to a blank screen. My friend has an Asus laptop as well and it just started happening for him while in Premiere, too. I can usually just hold the power button and hard restart it, my friend couldn't even do that, he had to wait for the laptop battery to run out. I hope this isn't some permanent problem.

Had a problem with the touch screen being too sensitive and had to send it back to manufacturer which seemed to take forever to get back...being without a computer for even a day is tough for me! However, got it back and haven't had any issues since then.

This laptop is awesome! Actually my first one I ever had. When it came to choosing a laptop I was always picky with color and specs and performance and screen resolution. It had to be touch screen and had to be convertible and had to have crazy amount of RAM crazy amount of storage and when I can never find anything that was suitable for my taste I just never bought anything. When I finally came across this laptop at the age of 27 I finally made up my mind LOL. Has everything I could want at the moment and then some. And it's also great for the family watching movies Great Sound; and of course you gotta love Katana.

    Careful of the screen

One thing to be careful of, the screen cannot be fixed if it gets cracked. I spent weeks trying to have it replaced only to find out that it is not possible. I had to pay to have the touch screen disabled so the laptop could be used.

I like the touchscreen and being able to fold it over into a tablet. Have had the mouse freeze up a few times while using the touchscreen then going back to mouse. It's very light weight. Screen size is excellent! Pretty easy to transition from google chrome to windows.

Just got it and it seems to do what it's supposed to do, work! My concern with ASUS is about longevity. I had an ASUS laptop before this and needed to replace mother board after 2.5 years. Didn't, and was reluctant to buy another, but price was to good to pass up.

Computer has had only a minor problem which is that I have to turn on and off the computer 2 times before it will actually turn on. But overall the quality is great. Speakers sound good. Very loud. Touch screen is excellent. Gets the job done for me.

Computer is pretty good, has some nice features like the touch screen. Touch screen doesn't work 100% or sometimes the mouse doesn't work. Mines relatively new, and I have minor problems. Doesn't have a disc drive which sucks but overall it's a good computer.

Great computer for school work. Love the light up keyboard and the flip screen. The speakers could be improved quite a bit by having them forward facing and it'd be nice to have a CD/DVD drive. I don't think that drive is entirely obsolete yet.

    Great Lap Top

    |
    Posted .

I was in need of a new lap top to replace a 6 year old one that had served its time. I read the reviews and specks on this model and have been a fan of Asus computers for years. I wanted a minimum of an Intel core i5 and a lighted key board. The Asus is a beautiful machine with more than enough memory and spead to handle any requirement I would ever have.

I like the size, weight and design of this laptop. However the flip lock application still needs some work. It often times locks the keypad without my having to flip it to tablet mode. Also, the startup speed is slower than with my Windows 7.

For the average user, it is easy to operate. Haven't used the touch screen much. Look forward to it a lot more once I fully transfer from my old computer. Still not a fan of no disk drive. Def like the Start button's return.

I was very apprehensive about Windows 10, but so far the transition from Windows 7 has been quite easy. All the software I've loaded thus far has run smoothly with no errors or freeze ups. I still have to install my genealogy software and then migrate my extensive database, but am confident that all will go smoothly.
