Great monitor. Attached it to my laptop and use it for gaming on a larger screen.

I find ASUS products to be good values. This monitor is no exception. I needed a widescreen monitor with HDMI input and this fit the bill perfectly.

This has the best video quality I have seen to date. It has two HDMI and one VGA port, internal speakers, and thin panel depth. A nice selection of cables are included. Video source is automatically sensed making setup easy. The DVI-to-HDMI cable was defective but no-hassle replacement resolved that.

Good quality monitor. Colors look good. My use is for online gaming with Xbox one and works well.

I bought this monitor with the Asus ROG desktop, (Both from Best Buy) I'll admit that I haven't bought a monitor in years because my last computer was an imac and the screen was immaculate. This monitor is not nearly as good but perhaps I should have expected that judging from the price. Firstly, I'm a little puzzled by the way this monitor is advertised. There are claims that it's an LED screen but the setup manual states that it's actually an LCD screen. I'm not sure what part of this monitor is LED and which part isn't. I guess for $189 it's probably not worth trying to solve that riddle but it's unusual for that particular type of confusion to exist nowadays. The screen is VERY bright, even at low brightness. Trying to adjust screen settings is a major headache. One can try to achieve optimal settings through Nvidia's control panel, through the buttons on the bottom of the monitor, or through Window's control panel display settings. It's unclear which of those methods will yield the best results, but I've tried all of them and no matter what I do, the screen is really bright and there are no real blacks (just dark greys). The speakers in the screen are just "okay" I'm still trying to figure out how to disable them if I wanted to listen directly through the headphone jack in the ROG desktop I also purchased. For gaming purposes, this screen is pretty good. Everything looks sharp. It's certainly "good enough" for the price, but I've read that other similarly priced screens simply have better blacks.
