Easy to set up and speeds are right on the mark. Still learning all the features of the router. So far, this is shaping up to be a great purchase.

I have now owned 2 of these routers, and couldn't be happier. Kills dead spots instantly. I saw my speeds reach their maximum potential, and can now game, stream, and surf without interruption.

I'm at about 380mbps up and 35-40 down in an apartment. Probably the best I can get in this kind of living situation. Signal is stronger than needed

Blew us away seconds after installing. Strongest router we have ever had. No dead spots in our large 4 bedroom home now. Even have 5 bars at the far end of the pool.
Kudos to the Chef on this one!

I did a great deal of research before settling on this one. It had good review by a computer magazine. However, it has not performed as expected, especially for the price. Even with this router and increasing my internet speed with our cable provider, it's still slow. Not only that, I keep getting dropped a couple times a week. This is very annoying! My old router never did that. I am not sure it's because of the range, but this thing is supposed to have extreme range. Now it's beyond the return period so I am stuck with it. May be I need to look into it more closely why it's doing this, but I don't have time of computer savvy enough to do that.

Was using std Xfinity modem/router. Currently running 16 devices, doubled wireless coverage and download speed. Was more than I wanted to spend but well worth it, would highly recommend.

I looked into a lot of different routers before buying and couldn’t be happier with my purchase. If your home can be well covered with one router, this should be it. There are more expensive multi-point/mesh options out there but I don’t like complicating a network if I can avoid it. I have a two storey, medium sized home and get strong signal everywhere (router is sort of centrally located on the second level) I used Asus routers before and was already a fan of their software. You can customize firewall, security, access etc. from your phone with an easy to use software. In short, love this router, would highly recommend.

I recently got Gigabit internet and wanted to use my own router instead of the provided one, In addition, wanted a router that will allow me to use my gigabit to its full potential. While my desktops are still hard wired, we have over 4 4K chromcast, nest security cameras, two cell phones, and over dozen google home speakers. Excluding the TVs, all those products are connected to the router constantly. That said it handle all the traffic extremely well and speeds are great! Also a big thing for me was the UI which get another big thumbs up!

Provides fast effective coverage for two story home. Great replacement for the FiOS router we had which bugged out. Little pricey but seems like it will hold up for a long time.

Well the router works great the distance it covers within a house is amazing. But for a router meant to be connected to tons of devices at once and that is pushing smart home devices it's bad. The router, after a while falls into the same issue I've had with every Asus router it seems to burn out quickly which often causes connection disconnection cycles. It's happened about 10 times just woke writing this review. My suggestion don't buy, I'll attempt a few more fixes before I bring it back and if I figure something out I'll update.

This is first time I bought ASUS router, but I like it. it is very good router and easy to setup. The size is kinda big, but since it is high end router, it is acceptable.

For years we had the cables company’s modem and router unit but then switched to our own. The range is much better and the speed is way faster. I would highly recommend.

Only tried the router out for a day then had to return, nothing about the router was wrong, I really liked all the aspects of the router but running Verizon in bridge mode I could not watch tv, so until Verizon steps up in the gaming world or another fiber company shows up I'm stuck with a non gaming router

I'm a supergeek and can tell you from a performance perspective (distance & speed) this is the best wifi router under $300. The only thing about ASUS routers that actually sucks compared to the NetGears for example is the sluggish WUI (Web User Interface). The good news is in most cases you only need to get through this during the initial setup and will never go into it again. If not for the UI, it would get 5/5 stars. PS - While I'm on the subject - Never buy a Linksys(now CISCO) HOME router; about a decade ago they were the best, now the worst due to a design flaw that causes a memory effect which has never been fixed.

Replaced a Netgear Nighthawk with this router. My WiFi speeds have increased and also the coverage area in my house. Well worth the cost.
