(Pros:) This Chromebook was exactly what I wanted: lightweight and portable with great battery life, made by a reputable brand, and inexpensive. Perfect for a college student (who is not doing anything fancy with a computer such as architectural or graphics design). It has an SD card slot to expand the limited hard drive space, so you can throw it in there and forget about it, rather than needing to keep track of a flash drive. (N.B.) Keep in mind, however, that Chromebooks are designed to function via Cloud networks and therefore need an Internet connection to access that. They also run on ChromeOS, which means they do not have the software compatibility with 3rd party programs (i.e. you wouldn't be able to download League of Legends, Adobe Photoshop, OpenOffice, etc). All of your software will come from Google's store in the form of an app. In the end, I decided this feature meant it was not for me. (Cons:) I found the system to be a little sluggish in regards to my inputs and while I was using it. Coincidentally, a day out of the return policy, the display flickered a few times and the system restarted itself while I was browsing the Internet at home. I may just have had a bad egg with that anomaly. (TL;DR:) This Chromebook is a great choice for the right person. If you are willing to sacrifice performance and offline/3rd party software compatibility for portability, battery life and low cost, this is your machine.

I wanted something simple for college without having to pay an arm and a leg. I like this laptop because it does everything I need it to do and quickly. Although I wish it had a CD drive, for the price I paid, I don't have any complaints. Also the battery life is fantastic :D

This is My first chromebook. I like it so far. I needed something my kids and I could use since my laptop broke. Decided to try a chromebook as I have heard good things about them. The Asus chromebook came highly recommended.

Extremely happy with this chrome book. I bought one for myself, then ordered one for my husband. Very fast, great display, easy to use.

We chose this laptop model for twin daughters mostly due to the screen size being little bigger than the 12 inchers most of their school friends have, but the 15 inch is too big for backpacks daily. They like the screen size, use daily in school. However, after about a week of use, both of them crashed upon turning on, literally one day apart. Had to download the operating system from chrome browser onto a flash drive and follow online instructions to reload the OS. Lucky we had another working laptop at home. One week later and so far, so good, hope it was a one time occurrence.

I purchased this laptop for my grandaughter to do her school work. The school uses chrome book and this laptop meets all her requirements.

I bought this laptop in August 2016 for going overseas to teach English. I'm a big fan of ASUS and have had an ROG laptop for over five or six years now that I bought from Best Buy, and it's still kicking fairly well. I was excited to have a portable laptop (the gaming laptop is 9-10lbs- not traveling with that!) so I could work on school lessons and do travel blogs, etc, However, two months in it glitched and I needed to reinstall Chrome OS! Mind you, I was also in a foreign country, but I found a local computer repair store and was able to explain in some poor French what was going on. Fortunately I had an SD card that could hold the installation and just had to pull it up on their work computer, so he didn't charge me for waiting around for over an hour while it loaded. Every thing was fine for about a month, and then the laptop would randomly shut off, and then about a week after that, it wouldn't turn on at all. Because I was told by ASUS that it needed to be repaired in the US and I couldn't afford to mail it, I was stuck without a personal computer until I got home in the summer. And of course life got in the way so I missed out on the one-year warranty time frame (August). I don't know if I got a lemon or what, but I'm very disappointed with this computer. And for its low price, I might as well buy something else than try to get it repaired.

I purchased this for my son's freshman year. In the early stages of use, this little machine is proving the perfect choice. It's got a great sturdy feel and a fast processor. We're both very happy with this choice.

Love the Chromebook that I purchased. Easy to use and perfect size.

It was a gift for my fiancée, who likes light, everything cloud. A perfect fit, however, trying to stream is very difficult. The connect gets disconnected most of the time, or she cannot control the streaming videos. When, she wants to stop it cannot, and usually just turn off the TV. I wished, she would have let me buy the warranty because a brand new computer shouldn't be this difficult, especially when all components connected is google.

My son loves this chromebook. Uses it for school but keep in mind it does not have a disc drive or anything.

For the price of a chrome book it's a go. It downloads quick and I love the stylish red color
