The Perfect 14 inch Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The G14 just about checks off every box for what you can possibly look for in a formidable 14 inch laptop. This was my very first gaming laptop, as I was in the market looking for a 14 inch laptop with a dedicated GPU as well as a daily driver that can pretty much do it all, work or play. First of all, let's address the elephant in the room & what I think is the only Con here. There's no webcam built into the laptop, which is the only imperfection that I can think of that may turn away some consumers. Not a big deal for me personally, as that's easily resolved by getting an external webcam, which tend to be better in quality anyway. Now onto what Asus did right. Screen/Display: The screen is a beautiful 144hz matte display which helps with screen reflections/glare compared to glossy touchscreen displays. The lack of a touchscreen isn't a deal breaker, as I've found that having a touchscreen doesn't offer much benefit, as tapping the display is rarely preferred over the precision of your mouse, not to mention the potential smudges after touching the screen. I've noticed this on my prior laptop, which I've only used the touch screen less than 5 times throughout my time with the unit. Performance: This laptop is FAST at just about everything I've thrown at it, ranging from day to day web browsing. light games(ie. LOL),etc. I should mention that I'm not a power user, so I'm likely not pushing the laptop to its limits when it comes to its full potential, but based on my impression of how well it handles day to day tasks without breaking a sweat, it should excel fairly easily without breaking a sweat. Fan/Thermals: One of my main concerns when purchasing a gaming laptop was fan noise, as well as, thermal management. I'm happy to say that the fan noise is fairly minimal when it comes to day to day tasks & only kicks in occasionally when you perform more demanding tasks(ie. gaming) but it only comes on for about 10 seconds or so to do its thing then it slowly dials down. The laptop has never gotten to the point where it's hot to the touch nor it becomes uncomfortable to use due to the fan/heat, after a prolonged period of time. I'd say the thermals are similar to non-gaming laptops, which is quite impressive to say the least. Keyboard: I've never noticed major differences between keyboards on laptops until I've came across this one. The keyboard on the G14 is noticeably more responsive & has a satisfying spring to each press, which makes the typing experience quite a joy. I will say I prefer black colored keys compared to the silver ones here, which aren't as visible compared to the black keys. This is not a major gripe, more of a personal preference. Ports/IO: There's 2 USB A, 2 USB C ports & a HDMI port, which are quite rare to find on 14 inch laptops. Usually manufacturers opt for either 2 USB A & 1 USB C or 2 USB C & 1 USB A, so it's great that Asus is offering a good variety of ports, along with a dedicated AC charging port, so the other ports are maximized. Miscellaneous: I do appreciate the power button having an integrated fingerprint sensor, so whenever I power the machine on, it takes my fingerprint from the press & presents it to Windows Hello for the seamless login. All in all, the G14 is a nearly flawless package that will surely meet anyone's wish list for a workhorse that can pretty much do it all! It's truly a no brainer if you manage to snag it on sale for a few hundreds off the retail price.

Powerhouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop runs so amazing fast for how small it is, it's unbelievable. The screen has no lag I could see at all compared to last year and the computer seems a bit quieter than the 2070 version Cons: gets crazy hot, old laptop feel Pros: crazy power and response

My First Ever Gaming Laptop, No Regrets
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great performance within a portable chasis and a sleek design. Perfect for my everyday school usages and gaming sessions! The screen is fantastic in my book; however, the battery and cooling could use some work, but that might just be because I always running performance intensive games that requires tons of power and processing haha. This is $1500 well spent, especially if you want an exceptional gaming experience and a powerful productivity machine.

Is it good? Yeah, yeah it is
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been using it for a while now, wanted a laptop that could just do about anything and still look good and small enough to fit into a normal backpack. Great buy, you wont regret. Plays all the games you like, runs very well.

Great combination of power and portability.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably one of the best combinations of power and portability. Memory and storage are both upgradeable. I tweaked the settings so that the fan would not run as often. As a photographer, it works great for photo and video editing. The screen is probably its biggest weakness - it's decent, but could be much better in terms of brightness and contrast. The touchpad could also be larger. USB-C charging is great. I purchased a 65W PD charger that is much smaller than the stock charger and is enough to charge this laptop while using it. Another negative is the blacklit keyboard. It's poorly implemented. Nothing is perfect, but if you want power and portability this is great.

You can't go wrong with this laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is ultimate portable gaming machine. If portability is important to you and you need all the power that a gaming laptop offers, then you can't go wrong with this laptop. Just know that it runs hot when it's under intense use like gaming and this is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I also noticed that it can't recognize my external HDD but does recognized external drives with SSD. This is an issue for me because I have 3 external drives with 2 terabytes of over 10yrs of graphics and animation works and this laptop can't open them. Anyone with a solution to that?

ASUS packs a punch in this Laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been around the block a few times, having purchased hundreds of thousands of laptops and PC’s for business groups globally. This ASUS is a gem. Without getting technical, it ran smooth and fast out of the box, and was able to run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 Premium without a hitch. More importantly, I installed a corporate image (Sans MFS2020) running Virtual machine with Kali and Unbutu servers with an additional VPN server with only 2GB of RAM allocated to each virtual server instance. No problem. The only drawback I can mention is that like all race cars, this machine gets hot in a hurry when mining and driving multiple monitors. Excellent for business or gaming.

Small but strong!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Laptop has really been good to me for schooling and its portability. Good battery life. Spec-wise it is pretty good. Pretty good Processor, which for the things I do I prefer that, than a beefy GPU. 1 T.B NvMe loads everything super fast. 16GB of RAM is also good as well. I guess from what I read on some of these reviews is that one of the sticks of RAM is soldered on, which is kind of odd and makes it difficult for an upgrade, since mixing and matching RAM can make the system slow and even crash. But it isn't a deal breaker at all. Other than that, I love it very much!

It's a portable desktop and great value!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My r390 GPU died on me so I needed a replacement for my Ryzen 1700x desktop build. With GPUs being crazily overpriced and out of stock, I decided to buy a gaming laptop. This was the most recommended gaming laptop on Best Buy website. After doing some research on the laptop I decided to take a chance when it was on sale. It has only been 3 week's but so far this laptop has been great with zero issues. It's light, portable, and powerful with the only complaint being it does get hot!! I disabled boost and my temps decreased by 10 degrees. I would recommend this laptop to anyone looking for a versatile gaming machine.

Top part bent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's fast but the hardware is not good as you would expect from $1400 + machine. Top part of the laptop it bending automatically. I don't even use it that often. I don't play games or anything which you might think the overheating is responsible for the bent. It's not the case. I don't understand this. I noticed it after a year and half and i think I'll not get any kind of support from anybody.

Powerful laptop gaming while still being compact
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An awesome and powerful gaming laptop! Runs any first person shooter like Modern warfare at ultra settings at 150+ frames like nothing. Runs open world games like the Witcher 3 at 80+ frames during ultra settings. Asus made it really easy to adjust your fan speeds according to your temps. The laptop itself is super compact and lightweight which makes it easy to travel with. The only downside to this laptop is that it does get pretty hot after a good while of running larger games. Nothing a laptop cooling pad can’t help with. Strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a strong gaming laptop that’s also very portable.

Absolutely Recommended
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our 3rd ASUS, and they make it so hard to consider other brands at this point. The new ASUS G14 has been the absolute smoothest out-of-the-box experience I’ve ever had with a new computer. It has taken everything I’ve thrown at it like a champ, and with the 3060 & 16GB of memory it has been able to run everything game attempted so far at the highest settings. Just know that these high end notebooks get hot. It’s just part of the experience. Using a surface thermometer, I clocked mine at 105°F on the outside, so just keep that in mind before you start into a long gameplay session with this beast on your lap.

amazing laptop with wrong screen
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i am computer technician and i see lot of laptops during my work. this laptop is the for sure the most powerfull i ever seen. it's super fast and provide unbeatable performens for this size of machin. battery life is very impressive. i love the wide range of options to adjust power and battery life on this laptop. speakers is VERY loud, what i find very usefull, and it's comes with pre installed dolbe access and rpovide superior sound quality. the only very big con for me is the screen quality. 100% sRGB sound like a very good quality, but actually this days you can get DCI P3 screen and even OLED display in laptops, so using just sRGB gamunt on premium laptop is outdated. in my opinion if you going to spend so much money on laptop, it's better for you to pay a little bit more for better screen. also i notice a very diffrent colors when NVIDIDA RTX card is off (when runing on battery). the iGPU provide diffrent colors that looks bad until you tweak the settings to fix it. also the brightness on this model is very nice, but while use it in the sun light it's not enough. while gaming te laptop become hot like hell, but i think it's acceptable if you really understand how much power it using to give that level of performence. just don't put it on your legs while gaming and it will be fine. also it's very usefull if you drink hot tea during gaming and want to keep your cup hot, or in the winter when it's cold, just run a game at maximum graphic settings and the whole buildding will be worm in a few minutes. the bottom line is: this laptop combines lot of imppressive power and can run every task and every game easilly. the only big con is the screen quality. for games of this days it's really not important, becouse the colors standard for games is still sRGB. but if you buy this laptop for watching videos and the colors quality important for you, i reccomended you to buy the more expensive model with WQHD screen that provide 100% DCI P3 colors. good luck!

BUY THIS COMPUTER! (It's AWESOME!)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer goes above and beyond in every category. It is seriously a beast of a machine. I use it for work primarily but I also game with it quite a bit when I have free time. Everything from Gears, Halo, WoW, Guild Wars, and any game that you can think of, this computer can handle it seamlessly at ultra graphics. I don't normally write reviews but I figured I would for this because when you're spending this much money on something any reviews help, especially one that is authentic and not paid. If you are on the fence about this my recommendation is to pull the trigger and enjoy what RoG has come up with. Props to them, they have got themselves a lifetime customer. Pros: The Keyboard brightness is top notch, it is also super pleasant to type on. (although not RGB) It can handle any game I can throw at it at ULTRA graphics and insane FPS. The display is just awesome, so crisp and bright. 144hz keeps gaming pretty flawless. It looks really sleek, and it also stands out to me over other "sleek" computers like macbooks or 2-in-1's because it's unique. On that note its extremely well built. Very solid. The 1TB storage is worth it. Don't cheap out on a smaller SSD, you'll wish you didn't down the road most likely. Cons: I know it's cliche to not have any cons, but so far there really isn't any. I had people tell me not to update to Windows 11 because its so new but I went ahead and did and I'm pretty happy with it. It feels alot more like MacOS. The fan is somewhat loud when it's on performance mode but...it's performance mode so I would expect that. 10/10 Recommend

Somehow even better than the 2020 model
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're familiar with the 2020 G14 you would know that it is a beast of a laptop in pretty much every category. Somehow with the exact same form factor Asus managed to pack and get even more out of this laptop than before. Starting with the biggest improvement, the battery life is, simply put, incredibly long on here. For the first time on any laptop I've owned I am actually seeing the advertised battery life, around 10-12 hours. To compare with the 2020 model this is nearly 70% longer battery. And yes this is with mixed use including watching Disney+, web browsing, and word processing with Bluetooth headphones connected listening to music. All other improvements include a higher and visibly smoother 144hz refresh, higher max brightness, slightly faster CPU clock speeds, 30+% faster GPU gaming performance, faster charging speeds (1hr 20min 0-100%), and redone Armoury Crate power profiles to optimize battery life or gaming performance even further. Other than all that the 2021 laptop is exactly the same as the 2020 one. Considering this laptop can be found for sale generally around $1450 usually, I would say for the difference over 2020's G14 that this is definitely worth the extra money for considerably better optimized features. As for cons, like last year's model, this laptop still has slow, but not as slow as before, GtG pixel color response times but because of the increased refresh rate the slow color response does not look as smeared as before. In addition there is still no webcam on this laptop but can easily be mitigated by purchasing a Kano flexible webcam (SKU 6441690) for only $30. TLDR: basically as long as you can afford it and need a hi-po gaming-spec laptop with insanely long battery life you're really going to want this laptop.

Keep getting better with every Gen release.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is the ultimate combination of power , portability , and energy consumption . Plugged in , this laptop can bring down civilizations . On battery, It’ll outlast your screaming, tantrum throwing toddler. I had the last gen with the 2060 and now I upgraded to this. I see the lack of a webcam a feature considering all the privacy issues we are having in the IT space. We all have smartphones anyways. Also, USBC thunderbolts power delivery port is fantastic.

||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So this is my first Gaming laptop, ive always played console. making the jump to PC with the G14 I was amazed with what gaming can be i did good amount of reaserch wich is very hard for PC there is no baseline to compare not all PC are built the same. i really wanted something small powerful and that would last. which narowed down to this and the razor 14inch laptop. comparing the two it was obvious this was the better deal for the price and had very simular preformance specs. ive been using this for about a week and im very happy with my choice.
