Customers are impressed with the ROG Zephyrus 14" Gaming Laptop's performance, graphics capabilities, and long battery life. Many appreciate its compact size, portability, and lightweight design, making it ideal for those on the go. However, some users note that the device can get warm and produce noticeable fan noise during use. The lack of a webcam and some concerns about the keyboard backlight are also mentioned.

Outstanding performance and form factor. battery life is outstanding. looks like an ultrabook and punches wayyyy above its weight class. unfortunately, it has very noticeable ghosting of the screen( slow response time ) if you can get over the ghosting it's outstanding.
I do wish the keyboard was white or had black keys so I could see the keys better with the light. it's very hard to see with the silver and white light only

WOULD HAVE BEEN 5 STARS, IF NOT FOR THIS PROBLEM..

Okay, so I WOULD have given this FIVE STARS, *EXCEPT THE FACT THAT IT STOPPED WORKING AFTER A YEAR*
I'm not sure if it's the capacitors, or if it's the ASUS/ROG fiasco with the BIOS leading to shorting out computers (yes, that is a thing and topic right now in the community), but my laptop worked fine, and then suddenly, after powering it off for a few hours, and then turning it back on? It just led to white light, no power on. The USB-C and USB-A ports still carried some power, which tells me that it could be voltage regulator OR a capacitor problem somewhere.
When you pay the price you pay for these laptops? You expect them to work for a minimum of 3 years. The average expectancy is about 5-7 (I would know - I have many laptops that live well past that point).
1 year? Even with excellent specs for the time, is NOT a good thing. I'd expect that out of Acer. I DO NOT EXPECT THAT OUT OF ROG (and similar brands).
It's a shame too -- I *DID* enjoy the 3060RTX, and I did enjoy the Ryzen 9 CPU. There are some drawbacks to the G14, however, in terms of upgrading RAM in dual-channel, as one of the RAM are soldered on (you only get one free RAM slot).

Zero Compromises

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus 14” is a no-nonsense laptop for the hardcore gamer on the go. First impressions of this laptop are how sleek and civilized it looks. The gamer aesthetic is subtle, looks and feels premium. ¼” thin bezels and minimalistic branding are also a big plus.
Big fan of its notebook form-factor as well, making it very portable.
Key stabilization is great on all keys and keyboard feels like any membrane keyboard. All keys have dimmable white backlighting which has customizable effects in the included Armory Crate software. Magnesium chassis has no deck flex with Dolby Atmos compatible, upward firing speakers. Another thing worth mentioning is the texture of the chassis feels comfortable when I rest my palms on it and will not attract smears and smudges.
ASUS’s “AI noise cancellation” is advertised to block out unwanted sounds from the microphone array. Was not able to get this feature to work even after an audio driver update and reinstallation of the Armory Crate software.
Next-gen RTX 3060 and Ryzen 9 5900HS shred through even the most intensive games at high settings. Paired with a 144hz, 1080p, variable refresh rate display, this trio creates a no-compromise buttery-smooth gaming experience. Don’t forget about workstation use, the Ryzen 9’s raw computing power is great for video editing, 3d rendering, and many more creative use cases. The SK Hynix NVME drive offers blazing fast read and write performance. Loads games in a heartbeat.
During heavy workloads, the fans are significantly quieter than other gaming laptops I have used. All this computing power comes with a cost, heat. The laptop gets uncomfortably hot on the bottom and very warm near the keyboard during intense gaming. However, cooling system keeps the temps in check, peaking at 76° on the CPU and 71° on the GPU under load.
This laptop has a myriad of thoughtful battery-saving features so you can enjoy longer cordless gaming sessions. For starters, Nvidia Geforce Experience has “batteryboost” optimized settings for games, which lowers the graphical fidelity of the games when on battery to save power while not sacrificing FPS. ASUS Armory Crate software also has preset “on-battery” and “performance” modes which automatically switch. Finally, the refresh rate of the display is locked to 60hz while on battery to greatly increase the battery life. Gaming on battery is still extremely smooth, even with all these features at work.
One drawback of this laptop is the absence of an integrated webcam. In this day and age where video conferencing is the norm, this redaction blemishes what is otherwise a near-perfect laptop.
Wi-Fi 802.11AX a big plus for future proofing or anyone who has latest AX (Wi-Fi 6) router. Incredible throughput with my Asus GT-AX11000 router.

Incredible Product. Has served me well for over two years now. I do game development and 3D modeling as a hobby and I haven’t done anything that the computer couldn’t handle. I would only recommend getting a cooling laptop stand to ensure it doesn’t overheat if you’re trying to do anything big.

Love it. Love the size. Love the white top. Really wish the base with the keyboard could also be white instead of silver, but at least it's not black like everything else. Runs fantastic. Graphics are naturally to die for. It's so compact and runs like a beast, so excited to be able to take it and game everywhere. Fan is nowhere near as nosy as I thought it would be. Way quieter than my husband's MSI. The base can get pretty hot to the touch, but it kind of adds a little excitement when you're gaming. My finger will slip through the keys to the in-between sections and I'll think oh yeah it's working and feel a little sting but not an unpleasant one more of one that brings you back to reality.
Anyway yeah I love it. It is beautiful. If you're looking for something compact, light, powerful, and cute, you've come to the right place.

I am not the most tech savy but I really lovwd thia laptop. It was really fast, powerful and the visuals were beautiful. HOWEVER, I did expirience a few driver issues, particuarly with the wifi driver but with a few driver updates it seemed to work fine. The laptop also had a short battery life and got super hot but I mean its a fairly powerful gaming laptop packed into 14inches so thats understandable. Unfortunately, I spilt coffee on my laptop and killed my mother board :'( i plan on getting a brand new asus though because i truly loved it! Would totally recommend to a friend

This is my first ever gaming laptop. Didnt really buy it for gaming but more for game development. Light years better than my previous machine, as it chews through tasks like wet toilet paper. It does get a bit hot while gaming but again, I don't play games on it very much. Very happy with this purchase.

Overall, the G14 is a perfect laptop for people who want the portability and appearance of traditional laptop while still being able to play modern games at 60 + fps. There is some tinkering required to get its full performance, such as disabling boost, varibright, game visual, but there plenty of guides that can help you. My biggest gripe was quality control, as different models had varying amounts of coil whine and display backlight bleed. My recommendation is to check out the display models to get a reference of what you should expect for your model.

So happy with the purchase.
This small beast of a laptop packs a lot of power. It feels very sturdy in hands and feels very expensive.
The performance is as excepted, its mind blowing fast!
Also, it has so many features to switch GPUs or slower the gpu volts to reduce heat and power intake. Its flexibility is insane.
Previous to this I used Asus ROG 17 inch which was great for 5 years but was big and heavy so I decided to get a small lappy this time.
Excited to explore more and use this laptop to its potential.

Great laptop if you want to run frames. Little bit of ghosting here and there but not noticeable. Also beware running of performance and turbo because the laptop gets warm very quickly and will have your palms hot without a cooling pad to help with the heat management. Other then the heat i love this laptop but wouldnt recommend running for long hauls at full power.

Runs like a dream. Bought “satisfactory”. Was brand new without package. This is a miners dream. Has dedicated and discrete graphics. So you can mine while working on it where graphics are not needed (unaffected hashrate) I upgraded the ram (24gb now) cpu mines as well. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing a “jet” laptop fan off Amazon. Mines at 65 degrees 36mh 74 watt 2 algorithms.

Best Laptop I’ve ever bought?!
This thing runs perfectly on the Power Brick and runs games very smoothly
I can play Fortnite at all Epic setting at 90 FPS which is insane for the size and weight of it, also it’s nice and sleek and doesn’t look crazy when your pulling it out, my only complaint are the fans but those are super quiet for the types of graphics that are running
If your a On the go gamer I’d recommend

14" of Pure Power

The ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14" Gaming Laptop is a little beast. I am familiar with ASUS’ products, and I know “Gaming” is in the title, but I wasn’t expecting a 14” laptop to perform like this. Out of the box, the system was pretty much ready to play too. I had to go through some updates of course, but then I was able to download a gaming client and get right to it.
I really enjoyed what the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14" Gaming Laptop had to offer while pounding away at the keys. The Ryzen 9 processor and GeForce RTX 3060 had no troubles working with the games I threw at it. Combining that muscle with the 1080p f144HzFHD anti-glare display made for a beautiful visual while grinding away. I didn’t notice any screen tearing or pixelations. Everything was pretty smooth and the colors were vibrant throughout gameplay. Another thing to note is how quiet this system is. Even while pushing it with streaming and gaming, I didn’t hear as much at the top settings as I expected. Other laptops are drowning out the sound with their fans when being taxed less than this. With that being said, I will say that the heat does pick up a little bit during these times so I wouldn’t recommend leaving it on your lap during those long episodes of gaming.
There’s more than a great processor and excellent screen that contributed to my enjoyment too. The fact that there is a 1TB SSD is a godsend too. That certainly allows for quicker boot ups so that you can get to playing quicker. I also enjoyed the power button doubling as a fingerprint reader too. I am able to skip my usual crazy, long passwords or 8-10 digit codes and just keep my thumb there for an extra second or two...then I am in. It’s not the most reliable, but neither is the one on my cell phone either. It might tell me that it can’t read it, but I reposition my finger and I am good to go. I also want to mention how great the sound is. These speakers pack a punch for all your entertainment needs. They are quite powerful and produce some crisp sounds.
The backlit keyboard is another piece that is nice to have. I haven’t played with it a ton yet, but I want to take a look at things in the Armoury Crate and Aura Creator to see what I can do with it. For now, I don’t think I will be using the breathing or strobing effects. For the most part, the backlighting is good. However, there are some angles that can make it seem a little off. Part of this is using cool white lighting on silver keys. Some color variation on either the keys or the backlighting would be ideal here. It’s not a deal breaker, but could be improved upon in future iterations if they continue with the lineup.
All in all the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14" Gaming Laptop is a great system to have on the go or while at home for your gaming needs. At just under 4 pounds, it’s pretty easy to lug around. I’ve only known a couple of setups that could even rival this power at that size. They might be lighter, but they don’t come with this power or battery life. It’s insane how good it performs there. I can play for hours and not have to worry about where the charging cable is. I love it. You can’t go wrong with sleek, simple design that provides you almost everything you need for gaming.
