Needed something for school and gaming because traveling around with a mid-tower is exhausting. :P I play a lot of Path of Exile which has a bazillion particle effects when you play with friends often crashing computers left and right. This laptop can really handle itself. I love the color of it too, makes it feel a little bit special.(who doesn't like feeling special sometimes) The screen actually lifts the base up off of the table leaving plenty of room for air flow, and if you're not the hulk with gamer rage, I think it doesn't have much chance of breaking. One thing that kind of sucks is you'll need a USB hub if you want to plug in all your own accessories. there's only 2 USB's on the right side of the laptop, so I use a hub for my keyboard, mouse and headset. HDMI port on the left along with the 3.5mm for headphones/headset. USB-C and charging port also on the left side. Haven't thought about upgrading it, I really don't have a reason to at this point. Nailing out my music homework using Ableton live and kicking some game req. butts. so I see no reason for upgrading at this time.

My no.1 recommendation for a mid-ranged laptop in 2021 and can be used as your primary desk unit easily with the Ryzen 9 5000 series . I use it for lite tasks mainly and some Final Fantasy XIV. You'll have to adjust some things to get the laptop to run games favorably in either power delivery mode. I get about 45 minutes of FFXIV without power supply at 60fps which is more than enough for me on the fly. If you intend to set up shop and game with favorable settings expect to find an outlet, this is standard with laptops and should be expected. I also use it as a monitor for docked Switch play a good bit. Only issue I have with it is the backlight keys are weak. Overall I highly recommend.

I am coming from a Dell XPS 13 with a 3.10 ghz i5 CPU intel, which was fast. But This Asus was the fastest laptop I have ever owned. I run programs such as adobe photoshop for work and hitman 3 and the Witcher 3 all cranked up to the max and this plays it flawlessly.

Very reliable and durable laptop. Benn using it for gaming and for work. It’s been a year and a half and it’s performing like brand new and never had issues. Would highly recommend especially If you want high performance gaming and work laptop because of its sleek design. Worth every penny spent.

Cut to the chase Overall a good compact gaming laptop, great specs on paper and in use, very fast, decent battery life for it's size, out of the box ready to game. ANIME Matrix, this is not the version that has the Anime Matrix even thought it was apart of the info. Asus has 4 different models 2 of them don't have it. No built in Camera. Pros: Fast Ryzen R9-5900HS Great GPU RTX 3060Q (mobile) Fast BUS speed 3200 mhz (memory) Decent hard drive storage space 1 TB Good feeling Keyboard 144 hz refresh rate Cons: Not Anime Matrix model Would recommend gaming with charger No built in camera (not a big deal for me but just be aware) Fan can somewhat be loud Some of the things I really like about this laptop is that it's very fast but it comes in a small compact size. Super fast specs, 4th Gen Ryzen R9 with RTX 3060 GPU and 3200 mhz bus speeds, Good size 1 TB hard drive. The specs on this thing are great. Keyboard feels great compared to other laptops on the market, good feel and feed back. Now some of the things I didn't like, ROG makes 4 different models with almost the same specs, but 2 of the models don't have the Anime Matrix, which was kinda what I wanted. I played Cyberpunk 2077 and Valorant, both performed well but Cyperpunk had some issues but these were more so to do with Cyberpunk than the laptop. I tried gaming without the charger attached and I was about to get about 45 to 1 hour of gaming with cyberpunk but got more with Valorant. The fan can get somewhat loud but then again it's pumping out heavy graphics on certain games and everything is compacted so strong fan would be required to keep things cool. I would definitely recommend this the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14 for anyone looking for a compact gaming laptop.

As of today I’ve had this laptop for 5 days. My first impressions is that is sleek, looks very nice and professional for a gaming laptop. The 14” screen is a perfect size. I bought this laptop to play games and also for when I go back to college. So far the games I’ve downloaded are world of Warcraft, I have the sims 4 with multiple packs & mods downloaded, I have steam downloaded, I have the EA desktop app downloaded and also candy crush. I’ve only played world of Warcraft and candy crush so far and let me tell you it runs BEAUTIFULLY. I spent WEEKS looking for laptops because I was scared it was going to run WoW to my liking. I am blown away. If you were second guessing do NOT!! This is a perfect/sleek & powerful laptop for a gamer and student!

Great computer powerful as can be can you run my four monitors and my oculus with no problem while streaming or caming. I wanna wish you would’ve come with the stock WebCam but I understand it’s meant for gaming excludively

The price seemed amazing for the specs included. (I got it on sale for $1,399) I had to return it because of the infamous "screen gap" with latest Asus models. I didn't notice the defect until my return period was nearly up. The plastic bezel under the monitor was warped out and not attached, eventually dust could get inside and ruin the monitor screen. I could squeeze it shut and even hear a "snap" but after 10 minutes it would warp out again. The exhaust vents blowing directly on the monitor seem to be a major flaw in design (and it's why the bottom bezel is so big). This laptop runs hot, moreso than I'm comfortable with. I think quality control is an issue also. Lastly, this model is Best Buy exclusive and so Asus doesn't support it. Any warranty problems you may have, you'll be dealing with Best Buy and not Asus.

The 2021 Zephyrus G14 is a wonder piece of kit. In summary it has handled everything I've tossed at it with almost no complaints. It just works. The display is pretty good. 14" 144Hz of variable refresh rate goodness. It does have a bit of motion blur, but I don't really notice it in games. Mostly with the mouse. I hadn't tried any videos on the laptop until just now and I don't notice it unless I'm looking for it. Gaming is wonderful on the G14. Cyberpunk and Elder Scrolls Online don't have me wanting for anything. Ray Tracing in Cyberpunk looks amazing. I don't even enable it on my desktop. I can't speak on the battery life, but it seems like it's decent. Better than my Lenovo X1 Yoga Gen 2. The construction on this thing is just about perfect. I love the look, feel, and weight of it. This was exactly what I was looking for in a laptop. Light, powerful, and has that 2015 MacBook Pro feel. Even the trackpad is glass. Only track pad that I've used that can be considered better is a MacBook Pro trackpad.

Nice laptop with small form factor! The overall quality of the laptop is nice, however the package is not great. The contents inside of the box are the laptop and a charger. No external webcam or usb C charger. It’s super light and so powerful machine.

This laptop performs. Full stop. I didn't want a full size portable so this was really the best option I could find. I was a little disappointed with the RGB foil under the holes on the lid, but it was an easy fix with some car wrap vinyl.

Skeptic myself reading the reviews when I was deciding to purchase this laptop and decided to go for it and glad I did, this little Powerhouse does everything I need it to from gaming to work, had it for a few weeks now and haven't ran into any major problems, except a driver conflict that was easily fixed, I use it for video editing, music recording and Aerospace flight development (CAD) in the downtime I mostly play Flight sims and this little ASUS laptop doesn't even hiccup, this is a Superb Laptop.

With out a doubt my best decision in years! I love everything about this computer from the way it looks, the way the keys feel, the beautiful screen quality, to the fact that there's not a single game I cant play on the highest settings. I was initially trying to build a desktop, but the crazy market for GPUs led me to prebuilds and I eventually accidently found this magnificent beast of a machine. The only issue anyone could run into is the memory. Plenty for me, but only 1 stick is removable and therefore upgradable. Do yourself a favor and just buy this thing! You wont be disappointed.

kA good laptop its very fast and slim has decent battery I was having a hard time deciding what laptop to buy but i made the right choice kinda wish they made a cool design on the lid instead of holes.

Bought it since I had another zephyrus laptop before and was not disappointed, only thing I can complain about this laptop is no ethernet connection since if you where to do a fresh windows 10 install you either need to transfer the wifi driver from somewhere else or use the USB connection for internet (in my case I used my phones hotspot) but I knew I was buying when I bought it. If anyone is buying this because of the potential for low cpu/gpu temps like I did then it's a great buy! I did research about how to keep temps low and the only thing I overlooked is that this model can't be undervolted to reduce temps, but after some more research I found there's another way, basically got to unlock hidden power management settings via registry and changing a setting there won't throttle your cpu when going from silent to performance/boost mode, you'll basically just get regular clock speeds instead of going from either 10% at 65c usage or 95c at 100% cpu usage that is way more then your game requires. These pics are from the laptops armoury app to measure performance from running star wars fallen order before and after changing the power management setting, had the laptop on performance mode for both pics and performance did not change at all in game! You can tell which is which by the temp and voltage being used, remember no undervolting had to be done, basically all I did was I had my laptop not go bonkers and using unnecessary power that wasn't needed. Overall I'm extremely satisfied with this laptop.

Excellent laptop. So far mainly using it for gaming and is holding up really good. I will say it gets hot really fast when gaming so I will recommend a cooling pad.

DANG! The screen is OUTSTANDING!! Super colorful, bright, and very smooth for 144hz. I’ve tested download speeds and it takes less than a second to download most texture packs for Minecraft, (depends on if ur WiFi is close to laptop and good). I got 200-400 fps on Minecraft without any settings changed and afterwards I got 500-900 fps and I barely changed anything. GREAT LAPTOP I RECOMMEND!!! Make sure to purchase a cooling pad for the heat. It’s fans aren’t too loud but you don’t wanna make ur laptop have to strain.

I have so far had this laptop for about a month now. It’s working so amazing for me.I’ve played multiple high graphic games and it’s working out perfectly! So glad this ended up being my choice. It is able to deal with anything you want on there! I sometimes also play in the dark so the keyboard feature is quite nice as well. If you don’t like the feature, then you can, of course, turn the brightness of it down. If you are looking for a great gaming laptop, I highly recommend this one! (Hopefully some of these photos can help you!)

Excellent screen, really good performance from the RTX 3060. Runs a bit hot but otherwise excellent power and for the form factor it's outstanding.

It’s an Awesome machine! Only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is because my unit had a software issue the day after I got it so I had to uninstall and reinstall Windows, but it works fine right now so I’m happy. Been gaming a lot lately on it and this is my first real attempt at pc gaming. I’m impressed. I just hope that software issue stays away. As for the lack of webcam I already knew so I got the ROG webcam to go with it and it’s great quality too.
