Positive feedback also highlights the lightweight design, effective cooling system, and vibrant display. However, a common criticism focuses on the relatively short battery life.

It's a great laptop, you can easily play most modern AAA games on it in high or ultra settings at 1080p, not sure about 4K though. Screen, keyboard, speed, cooling, all great, it's keeps a cool 35-45 degrees while surfing and every day stuff, while it keeps a stable 70-75 degrees while playing demanding games, build quality seems good, this is not my first Asus and I love the NON-gamer looks, with just a few accents that make it stand out.
Cons: The reasons that I actually gave it only 3 stars are two, the first one is minor, the finish, it's such a fingerprint magnet, it picks up on any tiny amount of anything on your fingers, so unless you've washed your hands properly and dried them well before using it, expect greasy smudges everywhere, and I'm not a sweaty hands person.
The second, and this is something to watch out for and a very serious issue, apparently you can't turn off power to the USB C ports, so even if you completely turn off the laptop, anything you may have connected to those (keyboards, hubs, powered speakers, RGB monitor stands, etc..) will remain powered unless you unplug the USB C cables or unplug it from the power adaptor. So now I'm left with a laptop that I have to unplug every peripheral every time I power it down, the devs apparently didn't deem this of any importance and yes, YES, I have looked everywhere online, all the forums, all the options, there's no BIOS option or any other power control for USBs from Windows or Asus.

Dear EddieMH,
Thank you for your comment.
We appreciate your feedback. Information coming from valuable customers, like you, will help us improve our future product offering and services. Yes, by default, the USB port will still generate power when the laptop is completely shutdown. This is typical with most modern laptops, including ASUS laptops. This features allows a small amount of power to the motherboard even when the laptop is fully shutdown. You can turn this off in the BIOS. I have been meaning to get a budget gaming laptop for awhile, but I would back out when I see the high price tags. This one I picked with a 400$ black Friday sale and has been cherishing every day! Build is strong and elegant, performance is top notch and smooth with Rtx 4070. 16 GB ram and i7 also provides smooth experience for work and streaming. Would highly recommend especially with a deal!

I use this laptop mainly for school. I run SolidWorks and AutoCAD and even Inventor. Runs great! The battery goes pretty quickly when using those heavy softwares, but I'm okay with that since it stays on my desk anyway. It also plays games very well! I played Elite Dangerous: Odyssey and No Man's Sky. I do use an Asus monitor for larger viewing when using the softwares and playing games. But this screen would be big enough for playing games. It's tough, durable and has been worked like a mule since I purchased it. Still runs flawlessly and super fast.

I recently bought the ASUS TUF 15.6” Gaming Laptop(Intel i7,16GB RAM,RTX4070) from BestBuy, and it’s a powerhouse! It handles games smoothly with stunning graphics, thanks to the RTX 4070. The study build, fast performance and vibrant display make it a great choice for gamers and multitaskers alike.

Honestly I was a bit nervous when I bought this since I’ve only ever had one computer in years but after downloading some games and running them it runs so much better! I love that I don’t have to have it plugged in all day to use it and I am able to move around my house without worrying about the charger. I love how much space there is so I can download all of my files and games. The graphics can be set a lot higher than my old laptop so I can actually enjoy the games I want to play. Also I am so loving the light up keyboard with all the different colors. It was super easy to sync my old data to this laptop so I got to keep all my saved information for online website log ins. It overall is a great laptop.

Asus tuf f15 gaming pc review

This gaming laptop is very good for games overall and the price is very reasonable. The only draw back being the batterylife when gaming which lasts about 1hr to 2hrs depending on the game. However for normal tasks it lasts for a minimum of 5hrs which is really good for a gaming pc.
The other thing to mention is how good the display is, I personally love the display.

This is my fifth Asus laptop. I decided to try a gaming model, although I am not a gamer but do casually play some games and signed up for game pass to test those features. Overall the computer is very impressive with the 4070 board and i7 processor. It will take me some time to test all the features but so far it is serving my purposes well. The screen is not touch like my others but that’s OK and I knew that in advance, the keyboard is responsive and you an select the color scheme in the control menus. Too soon to tell battery life but seems nominal/typical. Five Stars!

My first PC in decades (and probably my first genuinely powerful PC!), it has been doing excatly what I have needed so far and I've taken to it a lot quicker than expected after being a Mac person for so long! I haven't gamed on it yet as I bought it for video production, but with the 64gb RAM upgrade, it has been running smooth!

Great laptop for gaming and college work

Bought this in October last year, and have used it between 2~10 hours a day since... the specs are amazing, and the ability to minmax the performance through armoury crate really makes the laptop shine.
The gpu makes it a very viable laptop for gaming, and it isn't poorly optimized either! Beyond that, it serves every purpose a college student needs. The screen and the camera are great and havent had any issues as of yet.
The only issue ive encountered with the laptop is that it temporarily freezes for a second when its running on high settings and you connect/disconnect the charging cable. No actual damage occurs, but inattention cost me a hardcore run in subnautica...

Cyberpunk 2077 Gaming Laptop

I was in the market for a gaming laptop that could play AAA games as reasonably good settings. I am essentially using it as a console to hook up to my Samsung TV, so things like keyboard, screen, and heat don't matter for my use.
When first setting it up, the laptop screen seemed adequate and the keyboard was comfortable. The touchpad really was a bit obnoxious and am glad I won't be using it.
I was able to get this set up and running to my liking quickly. I avoided installing any of the bloatware and removed things that weren't necessary.
The laptop has a great wireless card and the hard drive and memory speeds were quite fast. There were some Windows updates and driver updates to do and that was completed smoothly. No issues at any point.
I downloaded Steam and wanted to see what this could really do.
Cyberpunk 2077 runs with DLSS on Ultra settings and Ray Tracing / Pathtracing on at 1080p at over 100fps steadily. That is incredible for a laptop GPU.
My Xbox One controller synced up easily and I was up and gaming within an hour. I ran this full blast for the first 12 hours it was on and besides the fans working hard, it never got above 80C-85C for graphics/GPU temps.
In summary: For the $999.99 this was on sale for, it is really an incredible value for how it performs. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Awesome laptop that's very durable and has laughed at anything I've thrown at it on max graphical settings and runs my CAD/CAM modeling software with ease. Battery life is ok just web browsing, but open anything more strenuous and it'll drain within about 60-90ish minutes.

Great product. It feels great playing every game i have tried so far. For the price i got it I'm extremely happy. Has an extra ssd slot and is fairly simple to install the second ssd and upgrade ram if you feel the need to do so. Speakers could be a little louder but lets be honest…. Anyone listening to audio is most likely going to be hooking up a headset or a pair of earbuds. Overall a great experience.

So far so good! Absolutely love the look and slick of the laptop. I recently upgraded my old laptop to this one in order to play Monster Hunter Wild and it turns out it runs better than my PC, granted I have a 1080 in my pc haha but it definitely runs smoothly and if you’re looking for something to play Wilds on, this is a decent upgrade for the price.
Also to note, you will need to keep the laptop plugged to the charger for better performance

Best mid-high class gaming laptop! To me it's even better than ROG Strix G16. With almost the same performance, it's lighter and quieter. Most people don't need an HX CPU.

Been using this laptop for almost a month now. It has no problem running 10+ browser windows, CAD softwares, MATLAB and games at the same time. Has enough storage and RAM and battery is sufficient. Screen is bright and has no glare. Hinge seems a little delicate and fan speed is as expected.
