AFFORDABLE and powerful gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had an ASUS X550VX-MS71 since 2017. It was a great mid-tier gaming computer that I also used for work. But as games have required more graphics/memory/cpu power in the past few years, it has slowly fallen behind. I could still play Rust, GTA V, Phasmophobia and a host of other games with my friends, but always on low-medium settings. I found this laptop as an open box return at my local Best Buy. It was $869.99 and after doing some quick research and comparisons, I bought it - and I am so glad I did. It handles all of my games on high settings. The laptop doesn't sound like a jet-liner on takeoff whenever playing games. Honestly I can barely hear the fans even with my headphones off. I LOVE the RGB keyboard and different Aura modes. The keys are fantastic and spaced perfectly to avoid the need of a gaming keyboard. Numpad is nice to have as well. I was lucky that mine came with Windows 10, as I don't want to be a guinea pig for Windows 11. It boots super fast and doesn't hesitate in anything I do on it. The only draw backs, had I paid full retail price ($1000) were the fact it only comes with 8GB memory and the SSD is a 512, which was eaten up quickly with todays texture heavy games. But because I saved $140, I can easily upgrade to 32GB and a 1TB M.2 and have it spec'd out better than factory for $1000 If you are looking for a VERY affordable gaming laptop, get this one. Yes...the RTX 3050 TI only has 4GB of dedicated VRAM compared to other laptops with the 1660 TI or RTX 2070, but you also aren't paying Lenovo Legion or Razr Blade 15 prices for it. I sold my old X550VX for $320 too, so that helped reduce the cost of my upgrade even further. Zero complaints here.

Best sub 1000 laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is extremely functional for 1000. I got mine on sale for around 899 and for the price you get far more value than any other laptop. The build is 5/5 (for the price) and the screen is very good (again for what you pay for). Dont expect a laptop at 1500+ range quality but the graphics, memory, cpu works without any lag for normal games at high graphics. If your a casual gamer, and work at home, I highly recommend this laptop.

good
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I make digital art but also game so I was looking for a good gaming laptop. I was recommended this brand and I was not disappointed! I love this thing. I can play GTA V with no issues and I can make my drawings 600dpi and more without lagging my computer. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a powerful laptop. Also, the picture on it is really good thanks to the graphics card. It's perfect for what I wanted it for.

Good value but atrocious battery life
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep this short and sweet: The good: fantastic non-gaming performance compared to my 5 year old Acer E15 laptop and likely on par with other newer systems; solid screen; sturdy build quality; keys had good travel and feel, though the lighting (even after adjusted) was distracting; good overall value when on sale. The bad: absolutely atrocious battery life. I'm not sure how this is supposed to compare to other gaming laptops but, even on an older game like Skyrim, you will get well under 2 hours out of this system before having to scramble to plug it in. My 5 year old Acer laptop is about on par with this system's battery life; yikes. Gaming performance: I did not have a chance to test it out on newer, AAA titles, however Skyrim held up fairly well on Ultra settings but an even older (and lower level title), Halo: Spartan Assault, was glitchy, froze and crashed at times. Not sure if that's the game or the system but that was completely unacceptable as far as I'm concerned. Final words: this is whopping 17.3" laptop which seems to be a good value within it's market but just was not for me, particularly due to the abysmal battery life.

A gaming computer I would recommend!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After very careful consideration, this particular model was our choice of gaming computer for its specs. It has a sizeable laptop screen, the keyboard is nice on the eyes as is the screen quality, holds a good charge, and has given no lag, just yet. It's quite sturdy and is also used for schoolwork. It handles video calls very well! This gaming computer is one I'd recommend on a budget, especially for it's quality.

Great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good laptop for the money. I bought aftermarket memory to upgrade it to 24GB. The main purpose of this laptop is for daytrading. It can easily support two additional 4k monitors and even a 3rd at 2k. My setup has four monitors. It's plenty fast. My only complaints is feels very hot sometimes. No complaints yet.

SUPER GOOD AND THIS IS THE BETTER BUDGET LAPTOP!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Earlier of 2021, I had a laptop with 1650 gtx which isn't bad but I wanted an RTX series graphics card. While the 3060 was in my mind, I was on a budget so the 3050 ti was on my list. This laptop exceeded my expectations because the size ended working for me and you get a very powerful performance. I see some people hating but they seemed way too biased.

Great for a new gamer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great entry level gaming laptop. It has everything that my son needs to play the games he enjoys. Graphics and sound are crisp. The memory is upgradable to 32 mb which we eventually will do. If you are a heavy gamer, I would probably go up to the i7 and the latest video card with more ram, but if you are just getting into games this will be just fine.

Fast like a NASCAR
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome! Best bang for your buck in its current price range. None other comes close. The only gripe that I have is the battery is underpowered for its size, but other than that this laptop is fast like a NASCAR (for my current needs). If you need a bigger, stronger and faster laptop then you need to pay more to get more.

Much Needed For Editing
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Laptop not used for gaming so I can't speak on that experience, however my wife and I use it for editing our youtube videos when away from our big home computer. Plenty fast and has the power to run adobe pro which can bog down most machines, this laptop handles it like a champ. No complaints so far

Best bang for the buck!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, this has been the best purchase I have made. The specs that this laptop have, definitely put it in a class of its own. The price was something that really caught my eye, and heavily influenced my decision on buying this particular laptop. It is very hard to find a gaming laptop of this size with these particular specs for a price point below $1,000. My one true gripe about this laptop is the speakers. They don't seem to be well placed for balanced sound, and at times they seem to low even at max volume. Maybe it's just me, but I have had lesser systems with better sound projection. Other than that, I really like everything about this laptop, especially the RTX 3050Ti, which is hard to find in a laptop for this price.

Ok I guess.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good for gaming but battery life is **** cuz I mainly use it for college and its lasts a little over 2 hours with battery power saving on and about 3 tabs on chrome. Recommend: if you're just gonna play games in it plugged in. But for college, I don't.

Better then expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is much better than most laptops and comes fairly cheap for what you get. It is kinda heavy though. The fan system is pretty great keeping the laptop cool. I wish the battery in gaming lasted more but for at desk use with a charger it's great.

Solid budget gaming laptop
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop with great display that will handle most games (medium-high settings). 3050Ti definitely leaves more to be desired and helps to add another stick of ram - however it’s hard to beat for the price.

I dunno about this one
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a couple of blue screens with this laptop, and my wifi stop being recognized. So I returned it and got another one. Day two of having the second laptop I had another blue screen which left a message saying I needed to update windows again something didn’t install correctly and the my asus program said there was a problem with WiFi . After I reinstalled , everything seems to be stable. Crossing my fingers it stays that way. The battery life on this laptop is not very good either.I charged to 100 percent unplugged it and it said I had like less then 2 hrs left. I don’t mind this personally because I stay close to the charger and probably most buying this laptop will to. It’s pretty good size so traveling with this will probably be short distances. I like the look of it and I also like the ability to upgrade if you want. 512gb isn’t much for a gaming laptop so I could see an upgrade to that and the ram as well in the future. As far as performance I’ve only played Guild Wars 2 on it so far. It runs it pretty smooth but in congested areas it struggles, I play it on whatever the default is or recommended settings. I’m not sure what the FPS is but it seems stable, and I don’t notice stuttering other than in congested areas. Would I recommend this I can’t say I would, at this point. I have had a lot issues with it,so this has been frustrating and disappointing. If you can get a problem free one it’s probably an awesome laptop just not really my experience. Hoping I don’t have anymore problems.
