So this is a good gaming laptop for the price. It will more than fill the needs of a basic "mid-range" gaming rig. Nice specs., Good 17" screen, nice add ons like Thunderbolt 4. HOWEVER...I had a nightmare with the Nvidia Contol Panel when plugging in an external monitor. It does NOT give you basic controls to create custom resolutuons, change scaling behaviour, or alter color settings. This is rediculous in a gaming rig. I contacted Asus and they said not all laptop configuation give you these options. On a gaming rig this is inexcusable. The option to create custom resolutions is a MUST for VR and a head mount display. I returned the device to Best Buy after trying to "trouble shoot" it for 3 or 4 days. I will review the replacement rig once I have spent time with it.

This is a very well built laptop and suitable for most gaming and media creation. The keyboard color changing is a bit annoying, but you can change that in the settings. The Thunderbolt 4 connection and space for a second SSD drive sets this laptop apart from others. My only compliant is that the salesman told me the computer had 16 gig of ram, and this computer only has 8. I wish I read the box before I purchased.

the screen size is what it says it is. The different color light up key pad is pretty.

It is a good laptop. I’m not sure what it is but whenever I’m playing it only seems to have a little over a hour of battery. Extends out to about 3 1/2 if I’m browsing the Internet or watching YouTube. When I have it on battery power it stutters when playing on a game like American Truck Simulator on high graphics setting. If I have it plugged in it runs smoothly even on ultra.

So far I could not be happier with this purchase. It was on sale and has handled everything I have thrown at it from simple spreadsheets and word documents to games like CIV6 and BG3. I went ahead and bought a Western Digital 1 TB M2 drive and an additional stick of memory, This thing is awesome, I have always had good luck with ASUS products and this is no exception.

It’s a great size perfect for game play. Awesome graphics! No glare at all!

So far, so great. I am not a gamer and just need this for school work but my husbands abd said this was the best one and I agree. I like that I can extend the battery like by turning off the GPU (I know, I know…gamers of the world are wondering why I bought this). It is HEAVY. That’s my only complaint. But it’s solid and I love the screen. Greta for watching movies!

I did a lot of research on gaming pc's. This one is the best one that I found. It does all that I want it to do. I love the different colors for the keyboard. a DEFINTE must buy for those who are looking for a good quality gaming pc.

It runs everything at high performance and does not get heat up.

Solid computer, definitely worth the money. The fact it's easy to upgrade made this an easy sell. I put Destiny 2 on it without adding RAM and it ran fantastic. Has great sound too. All around, I'm pretty impressed. It would get 5 stars if it came with more RAM.

So after almost 6 months of ownership I can confidently say that this unit is well worth the money spent, especially if you can get it on sale in the $800-$850 range. The battery life is definitely lacking when working at the laptop at peak performance but for just everyday scrolling on the internet it does well.

Got this and have been using it at ultra for most of my games and it’s been running super well. The second hdd port is super handy and easy to install. I would recommend you buy thermal pads if you do install another one to help with the heat because it still is a labtop and will blast hot on certain games. Overall really satisfied.

I could go on and on about this thing, but let me just say that for my purposes it was great. Has an extra slot for ddr4 3200mh ram, an extra slot for ssd,”the ssd it comes with has read speeds of 5000. And it has an empty sata memory spot for mechanical or ssd 2.5 inch drive. It’s easy to work on and it stays cool when in use.

Battery sucks, performance is great. Worth the buy

Laptop works great! It runs everything I want it to from Street fighter V all the way to Guilty gear strive. One problem I have with it though is the screen. When it's black it has a little bit of backlighting. Other than that though I definitely recommend!

Awesome laptop. Runs anything I want it to whilst also using it for business too. The screen’s colors are a tad bit washed out in comparison to desktop monitors that run 144hz, and the battery isn’t perfect (what do you expect for a high powered gaming laptop?), but it gets the job done perfectly and at a decent budget.
