I’ve been running this motherboard with an Intel i5-14600K and it has been absolutely rock solid. Setup was straightforward, BIOS was easy to navigate, and everything worked perfectly right out of the box. Power delivery and thermals have been great, even under heavy gaming and benchmarking. Stability has been flawless. No crashes, no weird behavior and XMP settings applied without any issues. The board is well-built, has plenty of connectivity and the layout is clean and practical for good airflow and cable management. If you’re pairing this with a 14th-gen Intel CPU, this is a fantastic choice. Reliable, high-quality, and performs exactly as it should. I’d buy it again without hesitation.

Get this motherboard if you want excellent overclocking performance, the ability to have 4 m.2 ssd's, 2 gpu's, and use the Asus Armoury Crate ecosystem.

Great motherboard so far, I've used it for a little over a month now and I've had no issues. Using a 14th gen i5 and ddr5 ram.

With this Asus Tuf z790 Plus motherboard, I was able to finish in the top 10 in 3DMark (Time Spy) with a 4070 Super and a 14600K. That said, it's a tremendous motherboard, especially for the price.

Mid-tier price for all the fixings. Supports latest processors, plenty of M2 slots (4) with 2 being Gen4. The steel reinforced GPU slot is awesome to help with GPU sag. Highly recommend for an affordable base to your next system. Can’t beat ASUS TUF line components.

Very easy to build in, top quality Motherboard, was perfect for my 6500 Case build with an i712700k cpu, titan 360 cooler, and plenty of M2 slots and fan headers for iCueLink

I’ve been very happy with this motherboard so far. Installation was straightforward, and everything worked well with my Intel build. The BIOS is easy to navigate, and the board has plenty of connectivity, including Wi-Fi 6E, multiple M.2 slots, and USB ports. Performance has been stable under both gaming and everyday workloads, and the VRM cooling has kept temperatures in check. The overall build quality feels solid and well made. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that a few setup steps took a little extra time, but once everything was configured, it’s been reliable and trouble-free. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable Z790 DDR5 motherboard.

I bought this to replace the motherboard in a prebuilt I had that I suspected was faulty. This has about everything I could hope for while maintaining compatibility with my i7-14700K. It has 4 M.2 slots that you can load up with storage, all of the USB ports are 3.0 or better, a PCIe 5.0 slot for modern Nvidia and AMD GPU's, 2.5Gb Ethernet and WiFi 6E, and lots of fan connections, among other things. I took a gamble and bought an open-box model, but so far it's been working great and the performance is excellent. Asus' software offers isn't the best, but it offers good options for tuning and customization.

This motherboard has been a good choice for a gaming build. The layout is easy to work with, and it has the features most people would want, including Wi-Fi built in. Everything installed without much trouble, and the board feels sturdy. I also like the TUF design because it looks clean without being too flashy. It has plenty of connection options and works well for a modern Intel setup. Overall, it is a reliable board and a good pick if you want something with good features without going into the super expensive motherboard range.

I love the board and the compatibility with components. Only two little issues that have always bugged me about mid budget Asus boards that I knock a point off for. 1. The MSI equivalent has great m.2 fasteners on the board, Asus's are really cheap and hard to work with. 2. The memory slots having one solid clasp to secure it as always bugged me. I like to able to disconnect both clasps to pull the RAM out. In tight spaces it can be tough to pull ram with the one fixed clasp. In summary: the function of the board and the Asus software to configure the BIOS is very good. That's said, I'm growing fond of armory crate with the exception of the various pop-ups when you open it because it's become grown up as annoying system tools go. This board overclocks very well, and it's very easy to work the overclock. Temperatures are good across all the components with no alarms as long as the air is pushed steadily through the case.

This was an upgrade from an older ASUS motherboard, and the switch over was super easy. This board has plenty of headers for all your USB 2/3 devices and Thunderbolt USB4. And enough fan sockets for any case.
