After a Windows 10 update, the laptop would not boot back up, You just got the spinning wheel and that was it. We tried restore points, system recovery, and we even tried to install Win 7 which didn't work. I took it back to Best Buy and of course it was just past the warranty period and the only option I was given was to spend another a couple of hundred more dollars on either a Geek Squad warranty or for them do a diagnostic on it. This was an inexpensive laptop but and we didn't feel the need to buy an additional warranty at the time of purchase because we figured that it should at least not have an issue like this in less than 2 months of use. We even tried to install Ubuntu and it still would not get past the Ubuntu boot screen. I have worked in the tech industry for a long time and have installed OS's and repaired PC's way more times than I can count but I have never had a new machine do this. I am going back to Best Buy again to try and get this sorted. Not happy with my first Asus purchase.

I purchased this laptop for my mom as a gift....its basic but she loves it and it is just enough for her.

This laptop has all the ingredients for a totally gratifying user experience. It even has a 3.0 USB port.

Works great for basic computer use like word processing and email. Would not recommend for streaming.
