Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only is it very bulky and hollow, cheap, feeling; but the performance is also lacking even at this price point. The screen has terrible contrast, the trackpad texture doesn't glide, and websites lock up regardless of connection. While doing light gaming, there are frame pacing issues. I don't expect high frame rates but I do expect consistent frame rates and this doesn't deliver. Also. There is WAY too much junk installed on it out the box. Your money is better spent with the hp stream 14, with the celeron, which, even though the processor has half the cores and a 32gb hard drive; comes with less junk installed, websites don't lock up, and wow gives a steady 30fps at minimum settings.

My gut said no, budget/salesman said yes,BAD-BUY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this 8/8/16 and it has been completely redone by Geek Squad twice. (THAT'S 2 MOS.) Yet same problems exist. I have been back and forth with IP and I guess my issues can only be attributed to The Geek Squad (I had similar issues with my last one) or the brand, which I knew/know little of. Was leary of. Sales dept all said they use ASUS for their motherboard. Mine was too expensive to repair, so I had to buy this as I work at home, computer is a tool I NEED. It is what it is and I am HIGHLY DISSATISFIED. Until my job takes off, I only hope I can manage the problems so they don't prevent me from my income. IT WILL BE REPLACED AS SOON AS I CAN. WHICH IS NOT SOON ENOUGH.

Drops internet signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dropes interntet signal at another house. Lightweight and layout is great. I did'nt feel I needed to struggle with this basic function by upgrading. I have a diffrent asus in the same price range and it works great. bought it 3-4 yrs ago.

Laptop died after 18 days
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the laptop on 11/3 and it quit working on11/19. My wife took it to Best Buy and they said they have to send it off and it may take 4 weeks. Because we did not purchase geek squad Best Buy wants to charge us $99 to get the data off that we need in the meantime. Basically Best Buy said tough. No refund or nothing. Seriously doubt I'll buy from Best Buy again. Was considering buying a new big screen TV, but I think I will go somewhere else.

Computer doesn't work properly after 2 months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have only had the computer for 2 months and already the computer is having issues. The computer will only turn on when it is plugged in to the power supply. If the computer has gone into sleep mode but is fully charged, the computer WILL NOT turn on if it is not plugged in to the wall. This is a piece of junk that i should have never bought. A new computer should not be having problems already. Very disappointed in this machine.

Keypad doesn't work-crashed after two months
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer for my daughter to use at Governor's School, basically as a word processor. She became frustrated quickly with the mouse on the keypad and the wireless mouse never connected correctly. The keypad mouse would grab portions of the screen, but not were she directed it to go. After about two months, the computer compeletely crashed and won't start at all. I tried to work with ASUS customer service and completely rebooted the system following their directions, which only seemed to make the problem worse. I knew it wasn't an expensive computer, but I expected it to at least type her papers for the summer program.

Not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not even decent for the price! I just bout it and was gonna use it for college work but in the 6 times that I have turned it on it has froze up 3 time. I've had to restart it 3 times. Spend the extra cash for a better laptop

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When i brought my ASUS i thought it would work well for my A/C & Heating Business but it could not handle the in call programs that we have running at our office for dispatches. Great for a beginner.
