Followed all the start up instructions but the laptop never turned on

This computer is the worst I have ever used. NO more ASUS anything for me.

I had to return it because it was loosing the network like every 15mn.

I just got 34 days ago to my son.we are so disappointed. A lot issues

This laptop is a piece of junk and is not worth the time and effort.

This is a very poor computer and very slow. I wouldn't buy it again.

Good for a first computer and that's about all that it's good for.

Constantly drops wi fi signal while laptop is in use.

So I want to start of by saying all of you people who left reviews about the wifi dropping and having to start over the computer; you are all on your own! This computer is fantastic I received it yesterday and I love the keypad, it reminds of the macbook because of how well it works. The smooth finish is to die for and the weight is perfect to carry around. I will be bringing this around and completing a lot more assignments. I had a dell inspiron 15.6 inch for my first computer ever about three years ago and I had a lot of led leaks due to poor management. I really love this computer so far it's not slow and the wifi is at full speed. I live in a pretty large house so we have about three wifi routers so its good circulation. Overall so far its been a peach. I have a week to test this out if it gets better I'll leave a 5 star if not I'll leave a 3. Don't listen these people this computer is so light and easy to use!!

I'm not impressed by this laptop! 1 month & it quit!

It kept dropping my Internet connection. It crashes

I've worked on computers since the 90's, I first started noticing lots of Asus motherboards, graphics cards etc. later on. So then I found out they made their own parts for their pc's. Which is great. About the only 3rd party part you'll get is the HDD. Other than that it's all Asus. They rate number 3 now, and have always been good. As of 2016, they rate right under Apple and Dell, although I still don't like Dell products. This is just right for web surfing, downloading, watching movies, yes even 1080p mkv files, no lag. And is a full on laptop to boot. Not just a little underpowered type of netbook. The Pentium Quad Core is great, and can compare with many "budget" i3 processors, since it uses 4 actual cores, instead of just a dual core (with hyperthreading). Also every PC I've ever used with windows 10, even my gaming rig is slower. It's just a resource hog, so you have to get use to it. When you get a PC like this with lots of bloatware, go under your control panel and delete what you don't need. Which would be anything Avast, or Macafee, since it has Windows Defender built in, which is stellar for catching any type of malware. And Windows 10 is very secure in itself. Also, get rid of Dropbox, and Asus Online Storage since it ends up costing in the long run anyway. Once you do this restart the PC, and it will run MUCH MUCH faster. This one did, for sure. But remember it's constantly updating, even small things,everyday. And since it's the last version of Windows ever to be made, it will continue to do so. This thing is great, very Macbook looking, though cheaper feeling, mainly the keys, and hollow body. But still a nice solid/decent feel. All laptops today feel this way to be honest. Speakers a LOUD, overly so. But sound great for music and movies. DVD burner is a plus, in case people still need it. Doesn't run hot, but the fan can be a little loud. Which isn't a bad thing. So that's about it, Asus are a great brand, and most people who have issues don't realize its the software, NOT the PC itself. Not to say it never is, but it's rare. Especially freezes, black screens etc. Have to do with driver updates etc. So just be patient with it, don't expect it to fly right out of the box, give it time to break itself in. You won't be disappointed. My 2 year old 17.3 HP keys went out about 6 months after I had it. I still use it hooked up to my big TV, but that gets old. About 6 keys or so bit the dust, and 2 just came off.So I recommend steering clear of them. They dropped from like 2 down to 8. So I would stick with this or if you must Dell. And Lenovo are good as well. So tech savy, computer engineer here sighing off. Hope this helps(ed). Thanks.

I purchased this on a whim to use a store credit. I was looking for a moderately priced laptop that could be used as a temporary media server. I was able to get an open box item which dropped the price significantly. It's a decent lightweight laptop for basic functions like web browsing, watching video (online and DVD) and creating documents. The screen quality is good and the speakers are sufficient (while a bit tinny). I only have two complaints: it drops the WiFi signal at times and I have to reboot in order to reconnect; the touchpad is sort of erratic and I've tried adjusting it with Control Panel to no avail. Overall it's worth the price.

I dont know why people says that this laptop is slow or have problems. I got like 3 weeks with my laptop and i can say that it runs so smooth every task i use, like NetFlix, Youtube, Outlook, and web browsing! the ONLY recommendation i suggest is that this laptop comes with the Windows 10 system, and it keeps "updating" some apps or patch, which may takes several time and megabytes to complete; while this is happening, if you try to do web searching or do anything that requires internet connection at that moment, maybe it will not open/load your pages or programs like Netflix or Youtube, because while the computer is "updating" itself, the laptop automatically "concentrate" itself on doing those updating tasks! BUT you can SET OFF that, so you can only update at the moment you want to; you just have to search how to turn it off and thats all!!!! the laptops is lightweight, have Cd room that can be helpful someway, as i said, it runs very fast and smooth my regular tasks; i dont know what buyers pretend with this laptop, maybe some want that it can clean the house or go to the supermarket to do the shopping! buy with confidence, no regrets!
