Display+Performance king, even runs AI locally
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ordered the ASUS Zenbook Duo UX8406CA online and picked it up at the Best Buy Manassas store, Virginia. The staff there were kind, patient, and very helpful. The pickup was smooth and the way they handled everything made the experience even better. I genuinely felt respected and taken care of. Now about the laptop. This is hands down one of the best devices I have ever used. I was confused between the Zephyrus and this, finally ended up with this. LLMs work on this Laptop. You can use it for AI workloads. You can use local AI models with LM Studio. That was a surprise for me. Gemma 12b parameter model works so well. The dual screen setup is incredible. Both screens are 14 inches with 3K OLED displays that are bright, colorful, and extremely sharp. I can run multiple apps side by side, take notes on one screen while working on the other, or watch videos without losing productivity. The screens look amazing in all lighting conditions and are a joy to use. Performance is outstanding. With the Intel Core Ultra 9 processor, 32 GB of memory, and 1 TB of fast storage, this laptop flies through tasks. I use it for work, design, AI tools, and even a bit of gaming, and everything runs smoothly. No freezing, no delays. It feels powerful and responsive all the time. The build quality feels premium. It is sturdy yet light enough to carry easily. The keyboard is detachable and very comfortable to type on. It is also great that it includes a stylus, which works smoothly for writing or drawing. The magnesium body feels strong and gives confidence that it will last. Battery life has been solid. For regular work and browsing, I can go most of the day without charging. When I use both screens at higher brightness and run heavier software, the battery still holds up for several hours without any issue. There are a few things to get used to. When using the laptop on your lap, the keyboard placement can feel different, but it works perfectly on a desk. Also, the fans can get a little loud when the system is under full load, but that is expected with this level of performance. What I personally loved: • The dual display makes multitasking feel natural • Performance is smooth and reliable • Great build quality with premium materials • Stylus and keyboard both work very well • Excellent experience at the Manassas store This laptop is perfect for people who want speed, flexibility, and a visual workspace that adapts to different needs. I am genuinely happy with this purchase and grateful for the service I received from Best Buy. Five stars without hesitation.

Beautiful, fast, versatile, but came with a dent!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I received my brand new Zenbook Duo Dual 2025 285H laptop with much excietment, only to be upset that it came with a dent (see image) The laptop itself is amazing. You can see all the online reviews and they're all true; the screen is beautiful, bright, OLED perfect darks. The 285H is very fast, feels snappy, like on a desktop. Now with portable 2 OLED monitors, feels like a dream. I would say this is not a ferrari of laptops, but like a bmw of laptops; luxurious and feature rich, but not gaming grade. I tried some games on it, FPS shooters, forget it, the latency/lag of most modern shooters is unplayable. You can play it, but the stutter/jitteriness of it makes the experience feel clumsy and frustrating. However, I did throw in diablo 3, civilizatoin 5, and a few other games and was smooth as butter >80fps. But getting work done on two screens or getting work done on one and having netflix running on another screen in OLED grade feels very luxurious. However as with two screens, the battery life does get drained very quickly. You have the option of turning it off and just go with 1 screen, but something to keep in mind if you're working with 1 vs 2 screens, that the battery life gets affected accordingly. I know best buy would probably let me exchange, but it's the USB-C port I know I would be judged even though it came like that. You can see it's a pretty big weird dent, it wouldn't be from me trying to plug it in, appears it was dinged or tried to be pried open. Very unfortunate, so it's a Q&A problem so I have to dock the product 1 star for that.

Butter smooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ASUS Zenbook Duo has completely changed how I approach my daily work and creativity. From the moment I opened it, the dual OLED touchscreens felt like stepping into the future—suddenly I could write, research, and design without constantly switching tabs or losing focus. The top screen is vibrant and smooth, while the second screen becomes my command center for notes, timelines, and inspiration. It feels powerful yet intuitive, running everything I throw at it with ease thanks to the Intel Ultra 9 processor and 32GB of RAM. Beyond performance, it inspires me to stay organized and think more visually, turning my workflow into something fluid and dynamic. It’s not just a laptop—it’s the ultimate partner for anyone who wants to create, manage, and dream without lim

GAME CHANGER FOR STUDENTS
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.a game changer for students and digital note taking. i’ve used my microsoft surface pro for years, but wanted something i could lay in bed and use and have a bigger screen for watching lectures/taking notes simultaneously. everyone knows microsoft’s surface pro’s have been ranked #1 for note taking, HOWEVER i have had it about a month now and i can say, this asus zenbook duo has been all that and more. i now can watch full screen lectures and take notes on the 2nd screen effortlessly, there is no latency and microsoft OneNote works seamlessly. **there is a feature that if you touch the screen with 3 fingers then the touchpad pops up, i recommend disabling that and disabling “touch while pen is in use” because those features did cause some problems while note taking and palm rejection, i ALMOST returned it due to this.. but once these features were disabled, everything is literally perfect.** i also love being able to use as a regular laptop when i don’t need the bottom screen. that was rarely an option with the surface pro, sure i had the attached keyboard but the kickstand would only work on a flat surface and at a certain angle, so laying in bed or in my lap didn’t work so well. my one complaint is there isn’t a place to store the stylus pen on the device and i am prone to losing things. i ordered a stylus holder and placed it on the front of the device (pictured in photo) and have had no issues since. as for battery life, so far i haven’t had it die while in use. i have noticed that using both screens for a few hours does slightly heat up the device, and the battery seems to me like i may not last an entire 9 hour day without the charger, but most my classes have plug-in capabilities. i also keep a portable charger in my bag just in case. i want to reiterate though that i have not had any issues! just don’t expect to use both screens all day without a single charge the screen quality is amazing. i’m still playing with all the features but there’s so many cool things you can do and it has a little widget that allows you to do different things with the screens. i’m learning most tips and tricks from youtube, check all of those out to get the full experience! it feels super durable. i ordered tempered glass screen protectors from amazon and put them on myself, and they have not effected the note taking or stylus pen at all! be sure to take off the “intel” sticker from the bottom of the screen before trying to put the screen protector on to avoid a giant bubble. overall i am not a tech junkie, so this is a honest review from an average person with minimal knowledge of all the specifications and techy stuff. i just want to recommend this to anyone who regularly uses “split-screen” features on their current device, or anyone who takes digital notes religiously as i do. this has changed online classes and school for me. i love it so much!

Great portable laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't know how I got along before this. Having two displays on a laptop is amazing. My home PC has 4 monitors, so having a portable machine with 2 displays is great. You can get so much done with the extra real estate. The system is actually fast enough that you can run diablo 4 or wow while streaming netflix, albeit at low settings. The displays are sharp, the colors are great and the brightness is superb.

Great for remote work
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this computer to work remotely with 2 screens and use a full-size keyboard and mouse. Works great from the couch where I can get work done comfortably without hooking a pc up to 2 desktop monitors. Only thing I would like to see is the hinges allowing the screen to go 360 degrees to use the Zenbook as a tablet as well.

Great performer and game changer for multi-tasking
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop all around, and the dual screen is game-changing from multi-tasking and more. The only issues I've ran so far, which I believe is more of a Windows 11 issue, is that when I go to Hibernation, and I try to turn on the Zenbook Duo, it would show the Asus animated logo, then go to black. I have to then hold the power button for 10 seconds to power down and then restart. I don't always use Hibernate, but it is a useful function, and I hope new versions of Windows 11 will fix this problem. Other than that, wow! I can do so much with this laptop when it comes to working with multiple browser windows apps. Whether I want to browse on the top while answer e-mails and text messages on the bottom, the possibility is all there. I love using multiple monitors on my home desktop, so using the two monitors here puts me right back at my most productive. Not only that, but the top monitor is at a very nice height for general use, causing less neck strain than typical laptops where you're always looking down. The 3K OLED screens themselves are gorgeous and vibrant, although with my Calibrite Pro screen calibrator, the Delta color accuracy is just at 3 even after calibration, so not the most dead-accurate, but very usable. I think with several more runs on the calibration (which uses 468 color patches), it will get there (hopefully). The keyboard is surprisingly easy to type and despite it being so flat, I don't experience fatigue. I can type just about as fast on it as my previous HP Zbook Studio X360 laptop and my desktop mechanical keyboard. I think if there's one thing I'd like to fix, you can turn off the "Smart Gesture" on the Touchpad for volume and brightness, which I can accidently swipe, when the keyboard is attached to the laptop, but when I use it in Bluetooth mode, this "Smart Gesture" returns. Overall, there's so much to like about this laptop. Even the battery life is not too shabby, and you can certainly get at least 5-6 productive hours with just a little bit of restraint when on battery mode. I prefer to be plugged in, and the Battery Protection Mode feels reassuring.

I love it!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an early adopter who doesn't mind a few quirks with new tech but there are no quirks here. This is a complete package with all of the very subtle bugs ironed out from last year. The dual screens are seamlessly integrated and switch back and forth instantly as you remove and reattach the keyboard with never a glitch. The well lit keyboard being Bluetooth allowing you to use it detached from the computer is awesome and I'm shocked ASUS hasn't adopted it's wireless convenience to to their other more expensive tablet style computers with detachable keyboards. The detached keyboard sits very flat on the desk. I use the included foldable stand meant for the laptop as a riser for the keyboard when I'm out and about otherwise I'm normally using my MX series keyboard and mouse at my desk. At work I have this hooked up to two monitors with an HDMI dock and it does so effortlessly along with it's own dual monitors. The included pen works as well as any Wacom stylus. I've used it for sketching, mark-ups and photo editing without a hitch. The speakers sound great for a laptop. Especially one whose sound system isn't advertised as one of it's top features. There's a nice amount of bass considering it's a laptop and the volume isn't lacking at all. CONS: There are none actually but I would note the flat keyboard when detached. It's not the lightest or quietest laptop. I keep it on performance mode so the fans do spin up pretty often but I personally don't mind that at all. The pen needs to be charged unlike a Wacom stylus. If there was a 16 inch version it would have been my first choice. I would buy this again without hesitation.

Yes, I would recommend this laptop.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend this laptop if you wanted a dual screen. I had a different brand dual screen before that was a lemon (2 attempted factory repairs, full purchase refunded). I run 5 monitors on my desktop machine (stock research and trading) so a single screen laptop wouldn't be good for me. A dual screen laptop keeps up well enough so I can sit at the kitchen table and still get the basic functions done. I haven't used the machine extensively, but so far it is good. Initially, Edge browser seemed to stall but is OK now. During initial set-up, Asus did a BIOS update (yikes!). The thing that concerns me is it runs hot even when only 1 screen is being used for web browsing. The screens are very good quality. I use eyeglasses set for computer use distances. I can get the laptop physically adjusted well for vision. One application I use has a font size setting that stays the same no matter what machine I use so finding a setting good for a large desktop monitor and the small laptop needed to be settle on. Surprisingly, the laptop actually worked OK with the same setting used for the large desktop screens. Too bad it doesn't fold all the way back for use as a tablet (so sad) but somehow, I'll survive. The removable keyboard is nicely done (clicks into place smartly). I'm not a fan of touch pads (I just can't seem to get the hang of it so I'm using a small mouse). The fans are loud. When it gets concerning, I have adjusted the power settings down and have not noticed any performance degradation in my applications. I have used the stylus a few times. I was concerned because styluses and very smooth screen surfaces = a crappy writing experience. So far have been pleasantly surprised at the stylus writing experience (it doesn't suck).

Amazing beast for productivity.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best laptop I can think of for anyone who needs to do serious work. The two screens can really boost your productivity a lot and the laptop build quality is amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone who does any coding/programming or anything where you have read and write using multiple windows. The processor is fast and can handle a lot. It is also very battery efficient and can easily last a full workday (at least for me) with some breaks in the middle.

Asus Zenbook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great laptop, very fast and great display options with keyboard over the second display. Only issue I have found is that the keyboard doesn’t last very long when it is detached while using the second display. It would also be better if the display hinge had more than a 180 degree opening angle to allow a presentation mode- I think Lenovo has this feature.

Great Laptop for Student
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for a college student. It is too early to provide a full report (and I am not particularly qualified to speak on the techy components), but so far, they think it is the absolute best electronic device they have ever owned. The ability to set up the double screen as a panoramic or as two independent workspaces, as well as the detachability of the keyboard, has been a game-changer. Screen resolution and operating system are excellent. It is a bit heavy, but that is to be expected with two monitors. At this point, we can highly recommend this device for students!
