This is a great professional turntable. If you’re looking to upgrade from those poorly made all in one kits this is the turntable to do it with. Direct drive, and amazing quality right out of the box.

I bought this turntable for my husband. In 1968 on the island of Guam, he bought a turntable that he loved and for almost 50 years as we have moved across the country and back again, having lived in 10 different houses in three states, we have carted his vinyl record collection of about 100 records with us and no way to play them. Finally this past Christmas I decided to buy him a new turntable, which came as a real shock to him, and which he has not stop playing since he opened the gift. Since I know nothing about this sort of thing, I read the reviews of several turntables and this sounded like the one I should buy and I am so glad that I did. The sound is terrific and I think it would be a great addition for anyone considering getting a turntable. Thank you.

Turntable was fairly easy to set up after reading the instructions and watching YouTube set up videos on the internet. It is connected to my receiver and I am using the preamp on the turntable. The turntable sounds great.

Pros - great sound, well made, accurate speeds, don’t have to manually place needle on record as it has a feature that allows you to slowly bring the needle onto to album and many other features. Cons - heavy unit if you want to move around. Doesn’t auto return when album finishes. If it had an auto return I would of given it 5 stars.

The AT-LP120 is a high quality turntable at a great price. Relatively easy set up by listening to the video. The sound quality is amazing. Vinyl is making a comeback and I am very happy with my purchase.

This turntable is rock solid and operates as smooth as glass. A great feature is that I can play my old 45rpm records and record them to my laptop via the USB cable provided... perfect audio transfer.

I bought this for a gift for my husband and it has been wonderful and sturdy. I was surprised how very heavy it was, but it sounds great and will be a center visual piece in our home for a very long time.

    Great Upgrade

I previously had the Sony turntable (also sold here by Best Buy). It was a good starter turntable but once I started to get more serious about collecting vinyl I decided I needed a little upgrade. This turntable requires a lot more work out of the box to get it perfect but its worth the extra work. The needle needs to be balanced and the alignment was a little off but once I did a little research I got everything set. Several online comments state the built-in amplifier is not very good and I would have to agree. It wasn't until I purchased a stand alone amplifier and used the by-pass switch on the turntable I really noticed an improvement in sound quality.

    Does the job

I had been researching audiophile turntables with their ever-escalating levels of performance and cost, but decided to give this a try based on cost and online reviews. My old Thorens turntable from the 80s had basically been dead for 20+ years and my record collection unused for decades. I didn't want to spend a fortune without knowing how much I would use the turntable. Well, I have been using this A LOT since I bought it, and it sounds fine through my consumer grade system ( Teac receiver, Klipsch speakers). I may upgrade in the future, but this is doing the job even better than I had hoped. PS I haven 't used the USB output and recording software , so no comments on that.

Replaced my beloved Pioneer PL-71 (1974) that finally couldn't hold a steady speed. Other than beauty (who does a hardwood plinth anymore!) this Audio Technica is easily superior with outstanding tracking at 1.5 grams and a very nice dampered tone arm drop. The supplied cartridge and stylus are better than the Shure V-15 assembly they replace. I've seen this turntable rated as a Best Turntable Under $400, and I'd recommend it without reservation to a friend looking to get one in the $250 - $500 range. (I wouldn't recommend anything below this range, and I doubt most folks will have the caliber of system that would benefit from going much higher.)
