I used to have a Technics 1600 Direct Drive. A very nice turntable, and it lasted over 30 years, but time took its toll on it, and when the speed became unstable, I was unable to repair it. I went without a new turntable for about 3 years, and finally picked up this Audio-Technica AT-LP120-USB model. One of the features you HAVE to have is the strobe to make sure it's spinning at the proper speed, which many turntables do not do. This turntable not only has a strobe for the two speeds (33 & 45), it also will spin in reverse (a function I have not used yet, and may never use, but it's there in case I want it). The one feature this model DOESN'T have is an auto-return, which I kinda miss, but what's cool is you can play those oddball 5" records without having to breach the auto-return, so there are advantages. At any rate, I've had this turntable for about 8 months, and I love it. Would recommend this to ANYONE who is looking for a good turntable.

It's hard to find a turntable theses days! My husband wants to convert our vinyl so we can preserve what we have, so I bought this for him for Christmas. He hasn't tried converting anything yet, but we were able to try out the turntable by playing an old-time record from our massive collection.

Very clear instructions to help anyone set up appropriate counterbalance and anti-skate if they've never done so before. A solid base with enough give to the feet to sit nicely for stability. Good movement, parts, and reproduction with a solid included stylus and cartridge.

This turntable has lots of features that less expensive turntables do not have and even some that more expensive ones do. Unfortunately, this may come at a sacrifice in audio quality. It takes a little time to get setup out of the box, but is easy to use from there on. If you have high end components, this may not be the turntable for you. If you're looking for flexibility to convert to MP3 and still have analog outputs to your receiver / amplifier, this works adequately.

I had read several reviews on this product and I would have to say that this player sounds amazing. Several people mentioned the sound quality being an issue but after getting this player setup, I find myself listening to it every day and enjoying every minute of my collection. Buy it! You will love it.

Bought this turntable for my in-laws so they can play their many LPs. Turntable sounds great especially plugged into Klipsh speakers. Set up was a little involved but not bad. My only complaint is that the RCA cable is permanently attached to the inside of the unit. If you have a bad cable, then you must replace the entire turntable. My initial purchase of this turntable had a bad cable and had to replace the turntable. No problems have come up on the second turntable.

This record player is not the cheapest but it is most definitely not the most expensive option to play 33's, 45, and 78s. Output quality is very clear through my receiver which does have its own phono preamp that I am using. Once the needle was adjusted properly the sound quality was excellent

If you are not sure whether or not you are an audiophile, this is the most respectable mid price TT for you. Get some 99 dollar powered speakers and then upgrade as you go. It's direct drive, but don't lose time on that debate.

I actually wanted a belt-drive turntable but after reading some reviews I got this direct-drive turntable. It was not too difficult to set up and it sounds beautiful. It comes with a USB cable for digitalizing LPs which I haven’t used yet. So far I am very pleased

I absolutely love this record player! It is easy to use, and it plays records like a pro. My only complaint about this player... it doesn't have an automatic handle. You have to set the song manually that you want. After you set it, it will play on to each of the following songs. But I think that they absolutely should have added an auto play for this player, especially when this brands lower prices players have this feature.

I replaced a Kenwood turntable that was state of the art fifty years ago .The Audio-Technica Pro turntable that I bought at Best Buy , works great . The sound quality is excellent , and the other features included, make this the best equipment for listening to vinyl records.

Good looking and easy to set up. Took me few minutes to set up and connected to my bose portable speakers and heard my old records from 30 years ago for the first time in a while and brought lots of memories-the crackles and that sweet analogue sound. Great buy for me!

This turntable is a solid choice whether you're renewing your interest in your old vinyl collection or you want a reliable piece of equipment to listen to new vinyl. Be aware that it is large compared to mp3 players so you will need a dedicated space for it. If you're a newbie don't forget that you'll need an amplifier too. For it's price you won't find a better choice out there. Go ahead and look at reviews on this site and others.

I purchased this as a bundle with some R-15PM Klipsch monitors for 499.99. Price was great for the two and I am happy with the sound right out of the box. There are also PLENTY of upgrades available for this turntable as your budget allows (Cartridges, mats, external phono stage, ect.)

Great choice for bridging the gap between analog and digital. Quality turntable, stylish appearance and allows digitalization of vinyl. Minor assembly and directions are good. No amp necessary so can connect directly to powered speakers. Bluetooth enabled.

Just connect a pair of of powered speakers and you can use this turntable without a receiver or separate Amp. You can still do so of course, but this turntable is designed to use on its own. Getting back into vinyl after some 40 years has been fun.
