For those who want to feel the nostalgia of your vinyl again, this is it. No more flimsy knockoff wannabees. This is the real deal. Heavy duty record player with top quality weights and parts your not afraid you're going to break. I love and hope to get many great years of service out of it. Not the cheapest one on the shelf, but hey, you get what you pay for.

This is a great turntable but it's not automatic ,it will not return at the end of the record. It is easy to set up and comes with a good stylus. I would recormend this to my friends.

So my husband has been drooling over the box for a year. He finally hit buy now and check out before he told me. He couldn't wait any longer for this. His albums are a mix or new and old. They all sound better on this unit than his prior player. The unit is sizable so it won't just for anywhere but it's worth clearing a place for sure.

Has great weight and balance to it and tons of features you won’t find in this price point. Was well packaged and really easy to set up. Also looks really nice along side my other AV equipment.

Likes: Built sturdy. Heavy for stability. Sound quality is great. I did have to adjust the angle of the stylus (I used a protractor printout I downloaded from the internet. I am playing it through a MOTU Audio Interface in passive mixer mode through active speakers (Tannoy Reveals.) Dislikes: Manual operation. Records just aren't long enough and I tend to be doing something else when it comes to the end. Looks like an "SUV" of a turntable. If you drive a Charger or Challenger, this could suit you.

I purchased this turntable to replace one that quit working. I originally had a Sony, cheaper model, and when it quit I decided to do a little upgrade. For the price, this turntable really performs. I like that the turntable can be adjusted with the counterbalance as well as the height of the “S” arm. I also like the fact that it weighs a lot and is a very solid turntable. Any accidental bumps of the table have no effect on the play of the record. The sound coming from the cartridge that comes standard with the turntable is excellent, although I will probably be looking to upgrade that soon. All in all this is a fantastic turntable for the money.

great 3 speed direct drive turntable

My purchasing this turntable I am replacing an older version of the same model that I have used for the past 3 years. It is highly recommended as a 3 speed manual direct drive turntable. with a speed adjustment of + or - 10 or 20 percent either way. It also has reverse play (if anybody needs it). This version also has a usb port for computer use with some basic soft wear. It comes with a new cartridge shell and mat but no cartridge. it is also one of the better clones of the Techniques 1200 with the addition of speed 78.

The turntable was easy to set up. The sound is good. There have been no problems with performance. Making adjustments has been easy so far. The instructions are understandable. Two minor drawbacks with the system are: that the tone are has to be raised manually from the resting bracket, and a separate needle is needed for 78 rpm records.

    Nice Record Player

Just to let you know, I haven’t had a record player for at least 25 years. The setup was easy for me. The platter I received is not warped. I do not hear any humming from the speakers. I hear stereo sound when playing records that have been recorded as stereo. The sound quality is very good for my wife and I. I do agree that the RCA connectors should have been attached to the turntable rather than connected to wires. I had to buy two Female to Female RCA Couplers so I could attach an RCA cable that would reach my stereo. I only had to pay a few dollars for them but I do have to agree that this seems like a bad designed. You need to remember that this is a manual turntable, there is no auto shutoff. When it reaches the end of the record I have to drop what I am doing; go to the turntable to lift the tone arm off of the record. Sometimes I wish I had just purchased a cheaper turntable that had an auto shutoff. Something you should think about. I haven't yet used the USB output feature of the turntable or the software that came with it. All in all this is a nice record player. However, I am having sticker shock with the prices of albums.

So happy to have been recommended to get this turntable, it is REALLY fabulous... a little complex to set up (I recommend looking at a YouTube video to get perfectly clear instructions - the user manual is not as comprehensive as it should be), but once set up properly, it gives the most amazing sound!

I was concerned about the price, but it is worth every cent. The set-up is, for me, very complicated, but with patience and perseverance got it going, and the quality of sound is fantastic. My ancient LPs, scratched as they are, sound almost brand new. You can't go wrong with this one.

    A Great Turntable, (Almost)

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

There have been numerous reports of excessive motor noise, warped platters, and Anti-Skate setting issues. Additionally, people have complained about malfunctioning RCA cables, and that the cables are soldered directly the main board. There have been comments on the supposedly poor audio quality. I experienced the same issue. However, the cartridge was not property aligned at the factory as shown in the photo. Once the cartridge was properly aligned, it eliminated the distortion one experiences while playing the last song on each side of an album. This is not a bad turntable, but you may have to go through the exchange process as I did, to find the "Perfect One".

I'm a beginner and did a lot of research on a first turntable. This table has consistently high reviews and I'm really happy with my decision. It's nice because it's completely customizable. You set all the parameters yourself, such as counterweight and tracking force. Everything is also upgradable, which to me is the biggest selling point. You can upgrade the mat, stylus, cartridge, etc. it's a beginner turntable with the ability to upgrade to mid to advanced low level. It also looks great and is well-built. It's very heavy, but it doesn't easily skip when I bump the table it's on. Very pleased!

very good turntable .. easy to use, not too sensitive to footsteps.. lots of features.. 2 negatives.. as with all single play turntables., it is a single play..also, no auto return at end of record, the needle and arm need to be manually returned.. this is not good
