I have been using Starlink standard edition Installed on my roof using a Baird non penetrating roof ridge mount. The product comes with all necessary parts. Easy to install. Has been up for 18 months and withstood all kinds of weather including 50mph winds. the most difficult part was not the mount but carrying landscape concrete blocks used as ballast. I recommend the product.

I bought the newer Starlink with the kickstand and wanted to be able to mount on my roof (it adjusts to a pitch in the roof or it lays flat) as well as moving the dish around if I park the RV under trees in a nice shady spot. The other goal was quick connect/disconnect for ease of use in both summer and winter and stowing for travel. I saw online people are making their own RV mounts out of hardware store parts. It seemed like a lot headaches and I was unsure of the integrity of making a mount like that. This mount was easy right out of the box - it had everything I needed, including a pole adapter and kickstand adapter and allen wrench. It's heavy-duty. I did have to buy the landscaping blocks to stabilize it, but they fit perfectly. Now I can sleep at night knowing this won't topple over in a storm. It was worth it to me to get a professional mount vs running all over town to try to make something myself. I like the flexible / versatile ways I can use this mount. Highly recommend!

Very sturdy but if it had a finish on it, it would look better and blend with the shingles. The blocks are imperative in high winds. 4 solid 1/2 concrete blocks need to be fitted 2 on each side as ballast. Painting the blocks helps with the final appearance too. The plastic wedge that is suppose to fit the standard dish does not. The sales rep told me to shove it in with a hard push, but it’s about 1/8” too thick for the Gen 3 Standard dish. It probably works with the older models. Forcing it would break the Starlink because the plastic is hard and not pliable. I found a piece on Amazon to retrofit the mount that works with the dish and the pipe extension. The design is very good and solid.
