Purchased in home installation with surround sound to run some wires. Best Buy subbed it out to a third party who showed up over 2 hours after the end of the window. The tech initially said he didn’t have the tools to run wires even though it was on work order. After several headaches work was finally completed but the tech didn’t know how to set up the system so I did it on my own which defeated purpose of paying for set up. Have had great experiences when Best Buy sends their techs, so this was disappointing.

I was told they would set up the tv to my existing equipment. They did not set up my universal harmony remote so they said they would return. They did return, but charged me for the setup. This was not my understanding.

I bought 2 TVs with accessories for close to 5k and spent another $500 on Geek Squad to set up and install..
The TVs are having problems staying on (the 75 keeps turning off each time a change channels) and the 65 won't and never finished the initial channel loading
I call Besy Buys 6 times and spoke with a Mgr who assured me we would have Gerk Squad come out and never heard back
I called the Gerk Squad Tech who left me his contact info 8 times and emailed him 4 times and he never responded to me
I had Visa dispute the purchase and install
Worst experience I have ever experienced
FYI I just bought 2 days ago another 65inch from Costco
I will never give Best Buy my business again

Oh god words do not describe this mess. We ordered multiple things to be delivered and put together. The first time we scheduled the tech called and said he would not have enough time. No problem I said we would pay extra for the whole day if that what it took. After four days i called back and explained the problem they scheduled us for 12 to 8 pm. I explained three times we need him for the entire day and according to the tech don't schedule some one after us. The guy said ok and sent me confirmation email. saying such, Three hours later another email saying we have the tech form 12 to 4 I called again and explained he would not have enough time. I got a supervisor on the phone and explained for a fourth time. H said he would put a note. Guys i don't need a note I need what the tech said 12 to 8. Great products but when it comes to installation horrible customer service. We got so frustrated we got our money back. Best buy lost a $4,000 sale due to incompetence. went to the store to talk to manager nope none available and even when I talked to a supervisor no call back. Best but you blew it five times in a row. Stay away from the set up and find someone who can do it for you save the head aches...

Geek Squad helped diagnose the problem and advised me to buy more gadgets for the home surround system. I placed the order immediately and waiting for the GEEK squad to respond back and schedule an appointment.

Geek Squad failed to set up the speaker that I purchase. We were told that our internet setting is not supporting the Bluetooth. I called our internet provider and found out that we have the most updated one they have. I called Best Buy...waited and waited for someone to come back and try to set it up again. We ended up just returning it. If The Geeks can't figure it out , we can't either. A bit disappointed that I see a little to no effort at all from the Management to accomplished installing the speaker.

My Bose 700 never got paired to work properly until this week.
I paid another person to come out and fix my problem once and for all. All that needed to be done was to use my (Comcast Remote that is voice activated) and tell it to sink up my new sound bar and now it works just fine. The Geed Squad person never knew how to use this feature. He just kept trying manually program it, and it never worked. Everytime I turned off the TV it just kept going back to factory setting. So I didn't get my monies with using Geek Squads services what so ever.

I paid to have my new TV, rear speakers, and sound bar all connected up by the GEEK SQUAD. I was sent a contractor on a Saturday morning. He did not know how to set up the rear speakers, and looked at videos. He boxed the rear speakers up and told us to return them as they were not compatible. We went to Best Buy on Monday and spoke to the LG specialist who sold us the TV, sound bar, and rear speakers. He said they were compatible. He spoke to the manger who gave us a number to call to get a GEEK SQUAD person out asap. We called and got someone who told us you could not request the Geek Squad. Told her that is what we paid for and what we were promised. We were on the phone with her for half an hour. She told us we could have someone out by Tuesday. Then she said no she could not get Geek Squad. Then she said she could. It was a comedy of errors, but at this point it was not funny at all. We got home and I got a text and an email saying that there would be someone from GEEK SQUAD coming out on Tuesday. Then I got a text and email saying it was cancelled. Then We were told it was changed to Thursday. On Tuesday morning the doorbell rang and it was a contractor and not a GEEK SQUAD person. We told him we were last told someone would not be here until Thursday. We welcomed him in anyway as he said he would get it working for us. After quite some time, he realized we had a defective rear speaker set. He went to Best Buy to exchange it. After many hours, he was able to get it fixed and working. We told him about the Thursday appointment again, and he said he would let them know. I got a text and email again about the person coming on Thursday. Finally we got it taken care of and they did not come. Your GEEK SQUAD is a ripoff as we paid to have the GEEK SQUAD show up and got contractors both times. I should not have had to pay for this kind of service when I was promised the GEEK SQUAD and then to put up with all the nonsense of information that is not correct and wasting our time and energy after spending that much money. I am not pleased at all.
