Agent did not complete setup. Initially, the goal was mounting and no supplies were provided or communication beforehand. Then, the soundbar was not set up properly and the subwoofer and 2 surround speakers aren’t even connected.

The agent attempted to install the sound bar - but was unable to get TV and sound bar to connect properly. We have been attempting to speak with someone from Best Buy to remedy but have gotten little if any response. We went to the store to speak to manager who said we'd hear from someone the next day .... that was 6 days ago! Very unhappy with our service and inability to watch TV and hear the TV!

Geek guy very nice but in a hurry. He was to put banana plugs on speaker wires, which he did , hook up my new receiver and calibrate the nine speakers. When he was done and gone I went into hear how it sounded. I went into the set up menus of my new receiver and found 6 of the nine speakers were in the wrong out puts and of course no calibration had been done. What else can I say. I will say I have used the Geek Squad several times in the past and have been satisfied.

This appointment never happened as the description of work was incorrect - we did not need a soundbar installed. We needed work done on home theatre previously installed. That was done later under a different work order.

I recently signed up for a Best Buy credit card and the Elite membership. I read somewhere that Geek Squad setup is included free with this. I wanted to check on the specifics of this as to how far the Geek Squad would travel and if products not charged to by Best Buy credit card (that were gifts) would still be included in the free set up. I started with a customer service online chat. I received a response to call the Geek Squad. I called and was transferred 6 times before being hung up on. Then I tried a Geek Squad chat and was told to call Geek Squad. I've spent an hour so far just trying to get a simple answer. If this is any indication of how the Geek Squad service would be then it is not worth it.

The problem was not fixed and even though the technician gave me his phone number and said to contact him if I had any problems, he did not return any of my calls. I am still waiting for Best Buy to give me a credit as the problem has not been fixed.
