Great, Durable Headphones!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones have the best sound quality i have heard from any headphone under $500. They have great hi's, mid, and bass. The bass in no way overwhelms the hi's, and mid's. The headphones have a great sound no matter what genre you are listening too. The durability of these headphones is also TOP of the line. They are very expensive, but it would be extreamly hard to break them. I believe they will last way longer than any other headphones out there. The only small complaint i have is the comfort of the headphones. Dont get me wrong they feel awesome when u wear them for shorter periods of time (30 mins#.The leather is very soft, but after about 45 to an hour they start to feel a little uncomfortable #tight/heavy#.I still use them for long trips, i just have to take a quick break from them every once in a while. But even though they are a little uncomfortable at times, the are still GREAT, and the best headphones you will find at this price.#They also look so dope, and will raise your swag level) #cold world

Da beats rock!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I have to say is they really rock! They are the closest thing to what I had in my perfect jeep car stereo. Which was crystal clear highs and mids to very tight bass. I mean realistic bass not the extra extra make your cars go boom bass. I currently have $200 Bose headphones and these are definitely a dramatic difference on a iPad comparison. This made my ripped cd's from the 80's ect sound like today's digital standards. Now I remembered what they actually sounded like on my $2000 jeep custom sound system that had put together in 1993. To sum it up they are definitely worth the $399 prices tag!

Superior Sound & Isolation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a DJ I will say the sound is great. It was a toss up between these and Pioneers HDJ-2000s i went with the pros. They are over priced but you get what you pay for. Highs are crisp and pierce at high volume, mids are tight, bass is superior. Isolation is awesome. They are a little tight to the head and feel like they are crushing if worn for extended periods. I like the flip up cups for beat matching. I wish they had swivel cups like pioneers HDJ 2000s. Ive been in the back of a car with subs with my pros on and never heard the car stereo. May get a pair of Beats MixR as an everyday pair of cans

Good Cans, Steep Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't like to equate myself as an audiophile, but I do critically listen to music both at home and outside of the home. Recently, I've listened to a good handful of headphones, high priced and lower priced, and none of them allowed me to enjoy the music as I did with the Beats Pros. I am not a big fan of name-brand labeling, nor do I necessarily care for endorsements from celebrities either. So Dr. Dre's name stamp on this product means little to me; moreover, I care less about the Monster name brand. What I do care about is the style overall and the build quality. Aside from having Dre's name I think these are some of the nicest looking headphones I've seen. They feel nice as well, however having tried other headphones out -- Shure, Denon, Pioneer, Audio Technica, and Grado -- the Beats are the style most appealing to me. The metal gives these a sturdy feel, albeit heavier than most headphones, and don't feel flimsy or cheap to me. As for the sound quality, these are fantastic. They are not the best sounding headphones I've tested, but as I said in the beginning, they are the ones that allowed to enjoy the music the most. To a critically tuned ear, there are more detailed and airy headphones out there and there are headphones that have a bigger frequency range, but these sure impressed me still. Obviously, the reason to want these are for the bass reproduction. The midrange is not quite as pronouced as most others I tried, and the highs didn't quite sparkle as other headphones, but they also aren't as fatiguing to listen to as some other cans I tried. spatial sound stage is good, although it never appears to go beyond the headphones, like several of the other headphones I tried. But, as I said, these headphones allowed me to enjoy the music. I would give these a sound rating of 8.5/10, overall. As a whole, these headphones produce a sound that is worthwhile for me to keep. The price point is very steep, but that's the price you have to pay for the name brand and endorsement. In my opinion, the quality of the headphone's materials and durability really set these apart from other headphones.

Hesitant to pull the trigger to buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to purchase the Beats because of the price but I finally pulled the trigger to buy them. I am not disappointed with the sound quality. I use daily for the gym, working, and writing. As other's have stated, they are very durable.

Great Cans for Music Lovers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To start with, lets get the "Not so great" out of the way. $399 is expensive for a set of cans, no matter how many "pros" a set of cans have. That said, Best Buy matches prices now and I was able to get mine for $306.90 plus tax. Do some homework and you can find places that sell them cheaper than $399 and Best Buy matches all local prices and many online retailers (which is what I compared to getting my price). That out of the way. Please understand that Beats have many different models. I hear/read many people saying Beats are a fashion statement and are not up to par with other manufacturers. This might be true with some of the lower end cans, but once you get to Studio and Pros, that argument is out the window. Price for price, I'd compare my Pros to any other set of cans in the price range (299 - 499). Will they compare to a $999 - $1999 set of cans? No, but their not meant to. Oh, and as far as build quality... I can compare my Pros to a $1999 set. The build quality is without a doubt the best I've put on my head. Bottom line: If you're in the market for a sub $500 set of cans, Pros are hard to beat all things considered!

Awesome Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these on Black Friday, the price was in my budget so i grabbed them and went to checkout. I was waiting a long time to get the Pros and i finally decide to get them. It was a tough decision between the pros and the studios. After i made my purchase, i was enjoying them as i was jamming my iPod. When i raise the volume up high, the vocals were as if you could hear the artist in a actual recording booth. The comfort of them are cool. They fit all over my ear and i didn't feel any kind of discomfort. The bass was on point and the sound was very crisp and clear. And i love the spin-able ear-cups as if i was monitoring a studio. Overall, i finally got my hands on the the Beats Pro and I'm very happy i made the purchase.

Awsome beats for the casual listener
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by saying that the reason the sound quality is only a 3/5* is because these phones are eq'd. The bass is jacked way up and mids and highs are a bit low. So if you are doing any music editing, these are not a good choice for you. Now with that out of the way, there is a significant increase in quality over the beats: studio. Metal brushed parts add weight and make these cans feel very sturdy. The optional 1/4" plug is also a plus. For all you rap/r&b, techno, or dubstep listeners out there; these phones will hit you hard with the bass your probably looking for. Comfort wise, these are mediocre. They have nice beg pads that just about go all the way around the ear, but there is a squeezing pressure that might agitate some like me with a bigger head. I have tested these phones both amp'd (Headroom Ultra Desktop) and un-amp'd through a ipod or computer 3.5mm jack. Even with the ipod these guys still played very nicely. All in all, Monster Beats Pro by Dr Dre may not be the best choice for a individual looking for neutral headphones, but to the casual listener, they will supply a bass rich environment to please the ears.

Best headphones ever for a DJ and audiophile
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a DJ and audiophile for a long time as well as a close friend of several professional musicians. My headphones affect my mood and my mood affects my mixes. I'm very critical of headphones because I'm involved with music every day. Vinyl, CD, MP3, and all formats mean that I hear and interpret music through the headphones as well as needing durability. When my headphones break or fail, it's like losing a family member. Well these are flat-out the best and we will be together for a very long time. The folding ear cups is essential and the sound quality can not be topped. Anyone who feels they are not comfortable must have them pinching part of the ear instead of "over" the entire ear. Maybe their so pricey because they will outlive the owners! Love them!

Great Product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the Studio Dr Beats, Bose Quiet Comfort 3, and Bose Quiet Comfort 15. I compared the the bass, treble, etc with each of these devices, and found that the Dr Beats Pro had the best sound, also it didn't need batteries in order for it to work. I would highly recommend this product!

Excellent Headphones!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones sound incredible. I have tried several different pair including different ones from the Beats line and bose. These are by far the best of the bunch. 50mm drivers with sound that comes to your ears from many different directions. The instrument separation on these cans is second to none. The bass, mid and highs all sound superb with these and the new infinite black color is just the icing on the cake. I have two pair one at my house and one at my office and my father listened to them and we got him a pair. These are not a marketing ploy only headphone. I don't care a lot about style, only sound. With these you get both.

Cooles headphones on the market
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones will make you look great! As a student I hear at least one complement on them per day. Where as I've owned a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones for around a year and have maybe gotten 5 complements on them. The Bose work better in every aspect except for style. I was "peer pressured" into buying these. Don't get me wrong, there nice headphones but they just lack a few things. For example they weight 14.5 ounces and are big and bulky, and they don't fit around your ear very well. The Bose weigh 5.75 ounces, fit perfectly around your ear and are comfortable (they also are noise canceling. The Beats do that to, but not vey well.) Though, the sound quality on the beats is slightly better, but the noise canceling on the Bose makes up for that.(I once wore them to a baseball game and missed a home-run.) I've noticed that when at school, or with other kids I see them wearing beats. When I walk through the first class section on a plane, I see successful business men in suits wearing Bose QC 15's. FIgure out which one you are and buy headphones accordingly.

Sound made me come out of my skin!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hey listen, I am by no way an expert, but I have always loved loud, crisp, good music. Even when I was a child I constantly got in trouble for playing the music too loud, when mom and dad where gone! So, as I said I love it loud. So, after his begging and pleading, I got my son Matty a pair of these, and he plugged these into some sort of sound test, on his Laptop, and gave the head phones to me, to listen to. I have to say, I literally had to take the headphones off within seconds of putting them on, because the music was so intense that it literally made my skin crawl! And it wasn't even that loud! But, I love them! I had to put them right back on and listen to the amazing sound that comes out of these headphones! AMAZING! If you got the money to spend, these are the ones I would choose! I have never heard music this way! Its a revelation, really! I have never experienced music so totally and completely as I have with these headphones! I love them! Oh, yeah... so does my son! Oh, and I got another pair for me now! Happy Holidays!

Amazing Sound Quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the best sound quality headphone I have in my life. It will beat the BOSE easily. In addition, it doesn't feel like my ear were being pressurized like the BOSE does when you turn on the switch to make it quiet. As for comfort, this could be a little heavier compare to BOSE. If all you care is sound quality, go with this. Or, style is also better, in my opinion.
