Great for my Google Chromebook and business

Stopped into the local Best Buy and found this bad boy. Inexpensive and does the job perfectly. Now it is part of my traveling repertoire of tech connections.

The first two died within months of purchase (both were different brands). This Belkin one seems to be doing the job well without getting hot. My only complain is that the mDP plug is large and doesn't fit well with another mDP device on my Mac mini.

1080P worked but not for ultra wide monitors

Cannot count the number of times my MAC was useless in a board room for overheads because of no hook up capabilities. Even if you don't think you need this, good idea to have it because you just never know when you may need it.
