Belkin - Mini Displayport To HDMI Adapter 4K - Black/White

I was all set to purchase a USB to HDMI display adapter because I was convinced my laptop could not handle a second monitor(3 with the inbuilt monitor) This nifty gadget was a savior. It fit the existing shaped mini display port that I had overlooked. No need for a separate display card. Bunch of money saved. The square pin for This mini display port could be a little smoother

The plug is pretty hefty and I thought it may not fit on my MacBook Air when using the USB plug next to the Mini Display port. But I'm happy to report that my worries were unfounded. This plug was about half the price of the one at the Apple Store!

The Belkin - Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter provides the ability to connect a Macintosh (in my case a MacBook Air) to a large screen TV using HDMI. And it just does that by plugging the adapter into the mini display port. Next you plug in one end a longer HDMI cable into this adapter and the other end of the HDMI cable into your TV. Your TV, obviously needs to be able to use HDMI. Both video and audio are sent on the same cable. The results are beautiful and look entirely high definition. I purchased another device (cheaper) like the Belkin but it would not work on my MacBook Air. The cheaper device did work on my other MacBook Pro, however. So, now we have one adapter for the Macbook Pro and one for the MacBook Air. I hope you found this review helpful.

I'm from Ohio and was in Florida to help finalize arrangements for my aunt's funeral. The funeral home was going to charge $395 for a video tribute to be shown prior to her services. I thought I could do better and, thanks to Best Buy, I did. Because of my job, I had my laptop with me. I was able to put together a PowerPoint of pictures that I already had in digital form but I had no HDMI output on my new laptop. With the help of a courteous Best Buy staff member, I was able to grab the last Belkin Mini Display port-to-HDMI adapter in stock at the Millenia location in Orlando...and it was even on-sale! The adapter worked perfectly and the PowerPoint slides looked beautiful on the 55" TV to which I was allowed to connect. Thank you, Best Buy, for making a fitting, final tribute possible.

This Belkin mini display port to HDMI adapter was a necessary part to attach a monitor to my laptop for working from home. I bought it on the recommendation from Apple (Belkin seems to work well with their products). Apple wanted a lot more for a white one on their site, but Best Buy came to the rescue and had this in stock along with the 24" monitor I needed to fix up my temporary in-home work space. Nothing to install with this, just hooked this up to the laptop, plugged the HDMI cable into it and into the monitor. Worked like a charm and saved me a huge headache. I would recommend this product.

Used the adapter to connect the Minit Display Port on an MS Surface tablet/laptop to an external HDMI-based monitor. It seems to work perfectly, although you always have to be careful with any of the "Mini" ports, since it's easy to damage the adapter or the port by using too much pressure, forcing the connector in at the wrong angle or upside-down, etc. Seems to be well-made to last a long time, but time will tell!

I had to work at home using the Surface laptop my work had provided me, but the small screen made it difficult, especially when I had to have multiple applications and spreadsheets open. I simply plug this in to the display port and I immediately had more screen space to multitask. I did have to adjust my screen resolution a bit, but I was up and running in less than 5 minutes.
