The plug is pretty hefty and I thought it may not fit on my MacBook Air when using the USB plug next to the Mini Display port. But I'm happy to report that my worries were unfounded. This plug was about half the price of the one at the Apple Store!

I was all set to purchase a USB to HDMI display adapter because I was convinced my laptop could not handle a second monitor(3 with the inbuilt monitor) This nifty gadget was a savior. I bought this Belkin - Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter to use with my new Surface Pro 2 and so far it's worked very well. It's as simple as plug-n-play can possibly be... plug the adapter in to the mini display port on your device, plug an HDMI cable in to the opposite end and you are now able to use a monitor or TV with your device. I use my SP2 as a full desktop replacement for both work and home. I just plug in the Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter to my monitor at work or at home and I'm good to go. It's fast, it's easy, the picture is great and there are no issues with sound either.

I bought this product to connect my July 2012 MacBook Pro 15" to an Asus 24" HDMI display. Great way to extend my MacBook to a 24" display without spending the money for an Apple monitor. Simple to use and performs exactly as advertised.

I have always liked Belkin products. They are my go to manufacture when OEM is not feasible. This device is no exception. It functions flawlessly as expected. Doesn't feel cheaply made like other generics.

This adapter does the job. It could be a little longer, but it allows me to connect my 2009 MacBook to my HDMI monitor.

This Belkin mini display port to HDMI adapter was a necessary part to attach a monitor to my laptop for working from home. I bought it on the recommendation from Apple (Belkin seems to work well with their products). Apple wanted a lot more for a white one on their site, but Best Buy came to the rescue and had this in stock along with the 24" monitor I needed to fix up my temporary in-home work space. Nothing to install with this, just hooked this up to the laptop, plugged the HDMI cable into it and into the monitor. Worked like a charm and saved me a huge headache. I would recommend this product.

The cable is a great way to connect your Tablet to your HD display via a full-size HDMI cable without having to use a Mico or Mini HDMI cable that may not support the necessary bandwidth or features. Simple connection for both Video & Audio and allows you to use the HDMI cable to your choice for up to 1080p at 60HZ. Quick & responsive interface between your Tablet-PC and HD display. Only drawback is cable is rather large and cumbersome: makes it difficult to insert, since it only goes in one way and requires you to physically pick-up tablet for insertion. The large housing on the cable makes the connector disturb the power cable magnetic adapter from fitting freely. This is simply remedied by turning the magnetic interface the opposite direction. Otherwise this is a great cable and a great price!

The Belkin - Mini Display Port-to-HDMI Adapter provides the ability to connect a Macintosh (in my case a MacBook Air) to a large screen TV using HDMI. And it just does that by plugging the adapter into the mini display port. Next you plug in one end a longer HDMI cable into this adapter and the other end of the HDMI cable into your TV. Your TV, obviously needs to be able to use HDMI. Both video and audio are sent on the same cable. The results are beautiful and look entirely high definition. I purchased another device (cheaper) like the Belkin but it would not work on my MacBook Air. The cheaper device did work on my other MacBook Pro, however. So, now we have one adapter for the Macbook Pro and one for the MacBook Air. I hope you found this review helpful.

High Quality, easy to use instructions, fair price

I purchased this Belkin device to replace another brand of mini display port to HDMI adapter that quit working reliably for some reason. The Belkin adapter has a larger diameter cable, and it's shorter, so maybe it will be less likely to break.

have a Macbook Pro 2012. I bought this to replace a dying store brand dongle. It is big enough that it makes the adjacent USB port unusable if you have a thumb drive or something else USB of much size at all you want to plug in beside it. Otherwise a great adapter. Just keep that in mind.

Not really too much to say about a device such as this except that it works as advertised and does a good job. I finally made the switch to a 4K flat screen monitor for the computer. Most of these monitors have HDMI inputs. My Mac Pro uses Mini Display Port outputs so I needed an adaptor. Based on prior experience with the quality of Belkin devices, I purchased this one. Total satisfaction...

Magically the cable does what it is meant to do. I was able to connect my computer to my TV. My command center is starting to take shape. I will easily be able to track the zombies on my TV now. Time to work on my bug out vehicle though....

This adapter did exactly what it was supposed to do with no problems. I have used it several times with no issues. Cheaper options can be found online but when it comes to cheap adapters its better to go with something that can be trusted.
