I simply plug this in to the display port and I immediately had more screen space to multitask. I did have to adjust my screen resolution a bit, but I was up and running in less than 5 minutes.

There's no need for that much plastic to surround the plug.

I don't know if that's the problem of the dock or the adapter, and also sometimes the signal cuts in and out. But only occasionally. Other than that it's a great mini display port to hdmi adapter.
