At the same time, I was in the middle of training for a 5K race and needed something to hold my iPhone. To make it as simple as I can, the pocket for the iPhone is very TIGHT! It's impossible to remove (with or without a case). When sweat comes into the pocket and into the phone, it's much worse. I'd stay away from any item that has a complicated pocket where you cannot (or hopefully will not) be able to remove when you no longer need it for the day. Stay away...
