Nice docking station with built in power supply

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was searching for a docking station for my HP Spectre x360 to simplify using my laptop in my home office. All the other docking stations would require me to buy a charging brick as well. Setup was easy, though I did have to power cycle it after plugging in the HDMI cable. Everything else works as expected including charging (My laptop requires 90W). The number of USB ports is a bit lacking, but together with my monitor that has USB ports, I still have free ports. Be aware this docking station only supports a single monitor. This docking station does get a bit warm, but not hot. You can press your hand against it without having to remove it, even after many seconds. I took away 1 star for the limited number of USB ports and the power cycle requirement when plugging in an HDMI cable.

Good Docking Station

It comes with an AC power cord that is a hair over 6 feet long, and a USB-C cable that is 19 inches long. The USB-C cable connects the laptop to the dock, and provides power to the laptop as well as high speed data in both directions. The dock has a good variety of ports. I was particularly happy for the ethernet port, as I do not have that port on my laptop. The dock is a little chunky, but still small enough to be easily packed for transport. I am quite happy with this purchase.

Compact but compatibility issues & gets very warm

Some laptops will report not high enough wattage to charge properly. Gets very warm. A client asked to switch to something better for his setup.

Dell laptop recognizes that its not original

I have a dell precision 3570. I will have to return it. Trying to upload a picture from the best buy app from my phone but there is a glitch. Best buy you may want to fix this. Anyways the error message I get is this: “Slow charger. To speed up charging, use the charger that came with your device” “Slow” is a little misleading because it barely charges and I lost charge completely. Again, one star is not against the product, but it does not work with my Laptop

Stops working randomly

No power delivery, no connectivity, nothing until I unplug it from the wall and plug it back in. At first I thought this maybe an issue with my laptop, so I tested with another laptop and had the same issue. I'm just outside of Best Buy's return window, really wishing I would have bought this from Amazon instead.
