My old laptop had 3 USB ports. So I bought this item which is fantastic! It's portable and small, so you can easily put it in your pocket or laptop zipper compartment. It has 4 port holes. I plug in my portable flash drive, my cordless mouse, ans a portable digital speaker for music. I highly advise that you buy this product.

While considered a travel unit, giving you ways to power up your phone as well as your laptop using one laptop port, it also works well for daily use at home. You can plug in a photo scanner and as well as a thumb drive into the same USB port at the same time. It's very inexpensive and a great value.

Everything was very expensive and had other ports I would not need to use. My grandmother was in the same situation so I ordered one to her house. It has given me 4 extra USB ports that allows me to work efficiently at work and I still have 2 extra ports for more items. It is lightweight and small enough not to notice on my desk at work.

Now I can charge my devices simultaneously without switching cables. Purposely bought the USB 2.0 because I did not need the faster data transfer speeds, only the ability to charge. Great value for the price. Wish the cord were a bit longer.

I think that's called progress. anyway, this works GREAT for my needs & is quite portable & useful.
