This Cat 5 adapter works exactly as expected and has been very reliable for my needs. The setup was quick and easy — just plug it in and you’re ready to go. Connection speed is stable and I haven’t experienced any drops or interruptions. For the price, it’s a solid value and does the job well. I would recommend it to anyone needing a simple, affordable Ethernet solution for their laptop or desktop.

Works great! I'm saving this for when my other port is full, cuz I have to use Ethernet (no wifi at my cabin) - so I've got two of these, one to fit each port. I can swap them out, depending on what else I have to plug in.

Plug and play for my switch, just what I needed. Over 100 hours logged already, at this price, is well worth it. Don't go with a cheap Amazon option, they won't last like this one

This adapter has been a life saver. It doesn’t make you lose out on any speed and it was insanely easy to set up.

This thing doesnt work at all. The lights dont even come on as if theres no communication from the adapater.

Perfect, nicely compatible (with Windows 10 and 11) device for attaching wired internet connections. Plenty fast (line rate) according to my personal tests with speedtest. Highly recommended.

I was having problems with my wireless signal and wanted to bypass the wireless to see if the problem was the modem or router. Spectrum analyzed their signal to my house and said all was fine. I had no computer with a ethernet plug so I purchased this to test the signal. I plugged it in to the computer, connected the ethernet cable and it worked great. I got a good signal so I bought a new router and all is well and everything is working fine again.

I have one laptop that is always used home at desk and recently it was upgraded from W10 to W11… what a mistake… wifi card driver keeps crashing the system… well… turned off the wifi card and bought this little adapter… works like a charm, speeds are excellent and the fact it added 1 more wire to the desk setup is no factor. Would buy it again

My son's school Chromebook continues to have an issue with its WiFi. It'll randomly not be able to connect and so my son can't continue his homework. Since the Chromebook doesn't have an Ethernet port, this was the perfect accessory. We’ve had no issues and it’s worked great.

The Ethernet "card" in my desktop quit working. I bought this USB to Ethernet adapter to keep connected. Works just as fast as the original connection (I am using Powerline (Ethernet over ac wiring) so I am very pleased. Pretty much plug and play setup. I think I had to use Windows control panel to connect to new network, but I was up and running in about 5 minutes start to finish. Very satisfied.

I wasn’t sure if this would work on my Nintendo Switch dock to add a wired connection, but I did a speed test on wi-fi and then on wired internet to compare and gained 20 Mbps! I did have to put my Switch to sleep to get it to recognize, but it worked great! Fortnite still looks like garbage on the Switch compared to an Xbox Series X, but at least the internet isn’t lagging.

I had a problem with my docking station at work. I was able to buy this USB connector for my laptop to directly connect the ethernet to it bypassing the docking station until it was replaced. This USB connector provided a nice workaround. If the same issue happens again, it will be on hand as a temporary fix.

Was an odd purchase for me, considering almost everything that needs a direct connected Internet has an Ethernet port, and that redundancy for Ethernet is available on almost every device I own even when it's not activated. However, with enough clients who have laptops and only limited USB ports dongle USB strips to their laptop for secure access This came in useful Plus, Best Buy sells high quality cable products. Not necessarily the best in the market However, consistent enough to satisfy the most stringent needs.

This ethernet adapter is essential for use with today's laptops which no longer include ethernet ports. Wireless is OK for most uses, but many business applications require the stability, speed, and privacy of Gigabit ethernet. The Best Buy adapter is a much better value than similar products delivering top performance at a reasonable price.

Very simple, kind staff, no troubles. I just ordered for pickup and I couldn’t actually get it that day but they put it on hold for you for multiple days which is really nice

I did a speed test and got 100Mb/s, which is probably the speed of the network. I got the model that connects to USB A instead of C because my Chromebook charges through the USB C port. Very simple, reliable connection.
