Pros: 1) Great (!) sound quality 2) Four simple options, really hard to mess up 3) Simple set up, just plug the microphone in the USB port on your computer, and select the mic as a default in the settings (the mic also comes with a simple instruction booklet). 4) No SD card required, this mic records straight into your computer. I use the default sound recorder that comes with Windows, but there are other options available if you want to play with the sound. Cons: 1) Not portable. Since it is a USB microphone, you are tied to your computer. 2) Bulky and heavy. This is a tabletop mic. 3) The dial to switch among the modes is really tough to turn Overall, I really like it! I think portability is the primary issue for me, but I knew what I was purchasing.

Where to start? I bought this so I could do a podcast and to be honest it was a much better product than I expected. 4 settings, a headset Jack, powered by USB which I was able to connect to my iPad Pro. The sound quality I can capture is beyond amazing. I was recording my podcast and captured my dog snoring from 8 feet away. You could hear it plain as day. After that I build a sound studio to further enhance my work. I cannot say how awesome a product for the price this is. I am not one of those people who knows a lot about these things but... I have done a fair amount of ADR work and can tell you what does and does not sound good in post. This microphone is suitable for professional grade sound and voice capture. You will not be disappointed.

Product quality is outstanding. Relatively simple setup right out of the box. Voice clarity is vastly improved over using our webcam microphone. With the transition from classrooms at schools to offsite distance learning, speech delivery is much clearer during online meetings for the students and parents that I work with when using this microphone. I chose to add a windscreen to ours; seen in the attached picture. For those reviewers who mention the $50 Ubisoft discount promotion, please remember that you are purchasing a microphone and to expect that the $50 Ubisoft promotional card has an expiration date of September 30, 2019. Other reviewers mentioned the expired promotion; please bank in it being expired. This combination of microphone and Ubisoft promotion card are likely old stock. Purchasing the microphone with the expired discount promotion was still a better price than purchasing the microphone alone; at least when we made the purchase. So I ended up buying this microphone after talking with a few streamer friends of mine and, wow let me say this was a great investment. I went cheap at first and my audio was bad on stream but with this new bad boy my voice is super clear and it catches all of my deep breathing lol. You won’t regret this purchase.

The mic is amazing, and worth the price I paid. Sadly, while the box says it contains a $50 discount code, the code was only for $20. Thinking it was a fluke, I exchanged it for another and got the same thing. Ubisoft, it would seem, supplied the packager with the wrong product.

Im not a professional or nothing but this mic is dope vs any standard mic. Clear precise, easy to adjust volume. Reccomend! Very easy to use plug in and go. Works great with Mac Studio!

So I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. Everything is great about the microphone. But. THE UBISOFT GIFT CARD EXPIRED IN SEPTEMBER. I bought this on 12/14. How am I supposed to use the gift card?!?!?! The microphones great but don’t buy this because the gift card doesn’t work. -_-

I haven't tried the mic yet. It's huge and I expect it to work well. However, the Ubisoft "$50" is a complete and total scam. You can't use it on anything that is on sale, but pretty much everything is on sale. So the price jacks up to full price again before you apply the coupon. The coupon actually ADDED $110 to the price of my order so I didn't buy those items. The most I could squeeze out of this "$50" was $8 and change towards 2 obsolete but interesting games. Don't buy this for the coupon because it is a disappointment and somewhat sleazy. This company should not do promotions with Ubisoft unless they want angry customers or make the coupon actually worth something. Even a real $20 voucher would be better than a fake $50 that is acutally negative $110.

Honestly blows all the other higher end mics out the water when it comes to price and quality. It does the job and sound quality is crisp and clear. Very beginner friendly and easy to use.

This is pretty much the go to mic when it comes to starting out in streaming or recording videos for Youtube/Twitch etc. The fact that this is USB and just plugs and plays appealed due to its high quality recording capability and ease of use. The mic itself is well built and made of metal so, unsurprisingly, heavy (bear this in mind if you decide to mount this on an boom stand or arm).

I bought this so that I would be able to record clear audio without the static noise you would hear on most gaming headset/microphones. It's easy to set up, merely connect the included cable into both the microphone and USB port on your PC. The instructions are very clear and briefly describes the different modes the microphone has. What I really like about it is that it also tells you what the different modes are recommended for. the "Omni-directional" mode is recommended for instrumental recording, or group singing, etc, etc. It is very friendly towards beginners, especially me since this is my first dedicated microphone. Since you now have a dedicated microphone, why need your gaming headset right? The microphone even has a headphone jack so you can throw away that $100 headset and use your apple earbuds or whatever 3.5mm earphone you use. On the front of the microphone, there is a dedicated volume knob and a mute button that flashes red, indicating that it is muted. On the back, there is the knob for switching between the different modes the microphone can be as well as a knob to turn up or down how loud the microphone projects the sound it records. "Gains" is what the knob is labeled. The microphone itself is very well made. Heavy steel (I think its steel?) as a base and a lighter, but still metal body. There are knobs for you to adjust the angle of the microphone, or even unscrew the base so that you can mount on an elevated mount. The quality of the microphone is superb. It pretty much picks up everything. From mechanical keyboard clicks to you swallowing just a bit loudly. Very very excellent. So in all, was the 130ish dollars I spent on the product worth it? Yes. Considering how well the microphone sounds and the fact that I will be using this when I stream on twitch and record commentary for youtube videos, I feel like this is a very good investment this should probably last me for a couple of years.

I was using the onboard mic on my laptop & it was ok. I got this mic, boom arm & pop filter all at best buy & took it to pro level. I adjust the knob so that I can speak normally & it picks me up louder. Now I have great audio on my channel. Awesome product.

Bought this microphone over a year ago and it's still going strong. In fact, sometimes it's TOO good! It'll pick up little sounds like my chair squeaking or people moving around upstairs even with noise cancellation. Absolutely worth the money I spent on it.

A lot of older reviews talk about expired coupon codes. I purchased mine in June 2020 and it came with a $50 off coupon for any game priced $59.99 or more (excludes pre-orders) and it is valid until Dec. 2021. You will be able to use it for the new Watchdogs or Assassins Creed Valhalla. As for the microphone, its top notch. Its heavy too, heavier than I am comfortable with. Here are some tips if you plan on using this for streaming video games. 1. Get a floor mic stand or desk clamp stand immediately. Keep the mic off your desk so the mic doesn't pick up your mouse movement and keyboard clicks. 2. Get a Pop filter to place to help deter the "pft" and "tf" sounds in your voice. Awesome mic, top quality, very clear and I love it!

I would say this is a great microphone. It comes with the $50 discount code which is amazing if you also want a game thats underneath $50. The microphone is really amazing it fits on my desk perfectly! Its really easy to install to your mac or windows. Just get the usb, get the other plug, plug the usb into your computer and the other end into the micrphone. Great for beginners:). Ever since I started to use it no sound issues or problems with it. I will give my updates in the future.

Great quality, great sound. Highly recommend a boom arm and shock mount as added features to maximize your experience. The mic is so sensitive, either purchase a pop filter or soften your "Ps", "Ts" and "Ds". It even hears you breathe in. Bottom line, a pop filter is a must, but if premium sound quality is your desired goal, then you'll have no problem spending a few extra bucks on the additions.

Microphone works very well. I'm very pleased with the product.
