For $50 this mic is alright. You can get way better for this price, like the fifine k669b, t669. The fifine mics is better for the price, and sound better. The blue snowball ice picks up background noise, this mic isn't good for streaming or for video calls. It does the job, picking your voice up. I wouldn't buy this mic in 2021, def in 2015. There's so many better mics than this microphone. Blue snowball/yeti rocked the microphone category for years, but their products isn't worth it anymore. I'm currently upgrading from this microphone to the hyperx quadcast s, will I miss this microphone? Not really, considering that it wasn't that special and mind-blowing.

Bought this for my brother as a Christmas present. He just needed something that would allow him to better communicate in Zoom classes and this went above and beyond what he needed. He was really impressed with the design and how easy it was to set up.

I primarily use the mic for online gaming chat rooms such as Discord and Ventrillo. The microphone is omnidirectional and picks up my voice perfectly even from across the room. The sound quality meets what I would expect from a much pricier mic. The tripod works perfectly and the microphone looks great on my desk to boot. Great product!

This mic should be on every caster's, recorder's or audio geek's intro list. It is a great entry-level product with sound quality that will blow any webcam's built in mic out of the water. WELL worth the purchase, especially if you publish any sort of video/audio content.

This microphone I rate it 4/5 because only simple things I did not like. I thought it included a metal tripod like other versions of it, and i thought it had a 3 options switch on the back as i saw in videos. But the sound is perfect, you can give this mic a good use to record anything overall.

This mic means business. I need to produce high quality voice overs and web commercials and videos and this was the ultimate answer for a low budget but high quality recording. I'll upgrade to their more professional models soon also.

If you know what a Blue Snowball microphone is, then you probably already know how good they are. If you don't know, I'd encourage you to go ahead and drop the money to get one. They are great. Never have a problem with them and they do a great job picking up sound.

I think this mic is on par with the blue yeti because even though the blue yeti usb mic has sound features, the snow ball is more durable and lighter. This really evens out the mics. Also the blue yeti has a better usb output because if you use the blue yeti, touch the usb cord can cause failure to the mic. Then you would have to restart the mic.

Since working at home, I have been having a lot of computer conferences. This microphone has changed my world. Just plugged it in and it works. Checked quality with those I work with and they say it sounds good. It is a drastic improvement over the mic in my laptop.

I used this to record lectures for my online class. Hands down the best pc microphone I've ever used. Glad I spent a few more bucks for quality.

Is the Snowball Ice the best-sounding mic on the market? No. Only being 44.1kHz/16 bit does limit its sonic capabilities somewhat. And some users might miss the more or less standard (for USB mics) gain knob and headphone jack. But for $50 we're willing to let a lot slide, and for most vocal applications, it's more than suitable. It's simple, and the lack of DSP means a leaner, more pure signal than you'll get from some gaming-oriented USB mics. If multiple mic patterns appeals to you, of course, the Snowball is only a little more money and has many of the same basic features. If your budget allows, we're also fans of the Blue Raspberry and the Beyerdynamic Fox, and if a DSP-applying gamer's USB mic is more what you're after, consider the Turtle Beach Stream Mic or the Razer Seiren Elite. But for $50, the Snowball Ice is a capable entry-level USB mic that does a great job and earns my backing.
