    Pretty good headset for calls

This is a pretty good headset for calls, i previously had been using the Plantronics Voyager 5220 for many years and it has always worked with all of my Samsung Galaxy Note phones till now. For some reason the Plantronics 5220 kept telling me Phone One Disconnected/ Phone One Connected every other minute using my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra so i though maybe its time to replace it, so i bought a new one and within 20 it told me the same exact thing as thw previous one so i took it back to the store and got the Blueparrott and i am no longer having connection issues with my Note 20 Ultra. The calls sound very Loud and clear on my end in fact it sounds too loud sometimes so i have to lower down the volume but thats awesome as thw Plantronics voyager 5220 didnt sound anywhere as loud as the Blue Parrott, however i had had almost every caller tell me that though my voice sounds clear, it does sound lower in output vs the Plantronics 5220 and the phone its self from its built in microphone. This could be because thw Plantronics has 4 microphones vs 2 microphones on the Blueparrott M300XT, but the up side is that with my Note 20 ultra the M300XT can read most of my Text messages to me while im driving woth out needing to look at my phone using Bixby and i find that very convenient vs the 5220, i could never get google to work on the 5220 yet alone Bixby. There are a few hiccups though. 1. It wont read Group Messages or my wife's text messages and im not sure why, i did everything i could worh tech support both from verizon, samsung and Blueparrott and jist couldn't find a solution to fix that so i dropped it. 2. The bluetooth tells me that the device is at 100% battery life even though i used it all day and when i plugged it into the charger the light indicator was blinking red which lets me know it was NOT at 100% all day, is that a deal breaker? No at least not for me but the battery percentage reading is way off and i hope it can be fixed with a new firmware as it was fine before i updated to firmware V1.06, i wish i could go back to the previous Firmware so i can get my correct battery percentage and be able to hear my wife's text messages, the M300XT reads everyone else's text messages even the ones from the pharmacy with the weird 6 digit numbers so it makes no sense. A BIg plus is that the charge plug input is USB Type C!!!!!!! Vs USB Tybe B on the Plantronics 5220. This M300XT is way more updated then the 5220 and i like it alot, no bluetooth is perfect but im glad i went for it. The only thing that can make this better is having a charging dock like the one that i have for my Plantronics voyager 5220. The design is very similar to the 5220 too and one BIG flaw on the 5220 that has been fixed with the M300XT is the solid ear peace, in the M300XT you just push in a ear tip cushion and your done and on the 5220 its a twist T shape locking ear tip which would always break and replacing them ear tips can add up over time, i know that i have paid at least $20.00 for several replacement ear tips for thw 5220 in less then a year. Im positive that i will NOT be having that issue anymore woth the M300XT. I hope you found my review helpful and if you are having disconnection issues with the plantronics Voyager 5220 on your samsung phone for some strange reason? Why not give the M300XT a try? It worked out for me and maybe it will for you too.

The BlueParrot M300-XT was a great purchase I made. The design of the device itself is very lightweight and the performance on the microphone does help with the noice cancellation. This can be worn on either the right or left ear by swinging the mic arm over and then flipping the earpiece sideways. Overall, it is a great headset when I am on the road!

This Bluetooth Blue Parrot seems to be a pretty decent Bluetooth but it has very low volume, lower than the Plantronics PT legend or the Plantronics 5220. No complaints from callers on the quality. And do you like the c+ standard charging port.

Blue parrot is a great headset with background noise reduction. This set is great for hot weather in a quieter environment. I have the B450 for my semi and the full ear coverage helps when it's loud. Both are very comfortable and great. Images below show differences and the 450 you could probably hear and talk clearly even on a motorcycle

I have been looking for a Bluetooth headset to attend office conference calls from my phone and got a BlueParrott M300-XT Bluetooth headset. It came with a Headset, USB-C Cable, 3 sets of ear gels, a Quickstart guide, and a warning/warranty sheet. Setup is easy by downloading the BlueParrott iOS app to configure the headset via Bluetooth. I have updated the latest firmware via the app and the iOS app has step-by-step instructions to configure the headset. The build quality is great and the ultra-light design allows me to wear this headset for a long period of time. It has 2 microphones, and the headset design blocks 80% of background noise. It supports up to 2 Bluetooth devices at a time. Battery life is good and offers up to 14 hours of talk time and can be charged with a USB C cable. The mic and sound quality are good during the calls and comfortable to wear as well. I was able to take the calls away from 250ft from the phone without any issues. The headset equipped with a customizable button that can be programmed for mute, speed dial, or push-to-talk in the BlueParrott app. It came with 3 different size EarGels for a comfortable fit and this headset can be used either right or left ear. It is IP54 rated to protect against dust and moisture. It comes with one year warranty. I am using this headset very often now due to superior audio quality and highly recommend this one for conference calls taken by mobile phone.

After wearing it for about a month, I noticed that the battery last the entire day and when it gets too far from the cell phone stars beeping, also it will not disconnect if you have another Bluetooth speaker connected to your phone, and had an excellent price less than $100.00 I will recommend this item.

    ## Design While The BlueParrott M300-XT headset is much larger than many wireless earbuds today, the larger size allows for a longer battery life and an extended arm for the microphone. The M300-XT (0.7 ounces) weighs more than an Apple AirPod (0.14 ounces), but the weight sits comfortably behind the ear and does not seem to cause a lot of "ear fatigue" for me. The M300-XT can be worn on either the left or the right ear by swinging the mic arm up and over, then flipping the earpiece sideways. The soft ear gel isn't like most other earpieces where it "seals" to your ear canal. Instead, it kind of just rests up against your ear, allowing you to still hear what is going on around you. ## Performance The microphone does an excellent job of blocking other sounds around you. I made a test call to myself (using my personal phone to call my work phone) and tested it by talking to it from the side and from far away. In both cases, my voice was barely audible unless I wore the headset normally. I also tested it by playing music and white noise nearby while talking on the headset the M300-XT did an excellent job of filtering out both of those sounds while still allowing my voice to come through clearly. The earpiece, on the other hand, can make it difficult for you to hear your caller in noisy situations. Since the ear gel does not seal into your ear canal, it lets in sounds around you. This could be beneficial if you're walking near traffic, for example, and need to be aware of your surroundings. However, if you need to be able to hear your caller in a very noisy environment, you may struggle with this headset. I found the volume of the speaker in the earpiece to be surprisingly low. I had to turn my iPhone up to almost the highest setting to get what I would consider to be a "normal" volume when talking in a quiet room (and the volume buttons on the headset sync with the volume on iPhone, so there are not two separate volumes to adjust). Oddly, the voice prompts and tones built-in to the headset seem to occur at a much higher volume. For example, the unit beeps periodically while on mute which is fine, but it is so loud and shrill that it becomes too distracting during a conference call. This unit was reviewed with version 1.04 of the firmware, so perhaps this can be improved in a future release. ## Battery Life The larger size of the headset allows for much longer battery life than an AirPod. BlueParrott states you can get up to 14 hours of talk time. The headset recharges with a standard USB-C cable. ## Summary The BlueParrott M300-XT headset has excellent microphone performance and eliminates ambient sounds around you for your caller. However, the volume level of the earpiece seems somewhat low and can make it difficult for you to hear your caller in noisy environments. The headset is comfortable for extended wear and a single charge can last up to 14 hours.

Lightweight, long lasting, noise canceling but…

Having had an older BlueParrot over the head, on the ear headband style noise canceling headset that was great for driving in old noisy trucks, I had high expectations for this headset. This single on ear piece looks pretty discrete and is amazingly lightweight for being on the ear. It has 4 simple, easy access buttons, that are a little rigid to push, but hard to accidentally hit. The easiest button to use is also customizable through the BlueParrot App to fit your most common needs. The battery claims up to 14 hours of talk time, but I haven’t had it run out of juice in a couple days of just occasional use and standby. The noise canceling is actually really good, for the person on the other side. However, for the person using the headset it is not so great. The eargels for this headset are a bit different. They say it is designed to sit within the outer ear, not in the ear canal. In a way, I like this, as some earbuds I have used that sit in the ear canal create fatigue or pain after some extended use. After having this on and in my ear for several hours, I did not have that same issue. I did find it a little awkward when wearing sunglasses though. However, the problem is that no matter which size of the eargel I used, I could not get a seal on either ear that would help isolate the sound for me. This meant that in really noisy areas I couldn’t even hear the call or audio playing in my own ear. However, the person on the other side didn’t hear any background noise until I started to talk. Depending on the background sounds though, it went from barely noticeable to completely distorting the person's voice. Essentially, what it comes down to is that the noise canceling works for mild noisy areas. Say, a fan blowing of some people talking in the background. However, if it is an environment where it would be hard for you to hear with a regular phone to your ear, you’re probably not going to be able to hear the conversation with this either. If they had an option to change the eargels to actually seal into the ear canal, it might be better. But, as they are by default, I wouldn’t recommend this for truly noisy environments, like that old noisy diesel truck. Certainly not on a motorcycle as we tried that for the most extreme sound. Now, with that said, I don’t think this is a bad headset. Just not really meant for high-noise environments on the users part. Calls with mild noise, like my air purifier that people ask if I’m by a waterfall with other headsets, were crystal clear and when asked if they could hear the noise, they heard nothing. In a car, if you have typical road noise, it also cancels that well. But, anything above that it was as if I couldn’t get the headset loud enough. However, a little pressure, like the old headbands would add, helped, just not making it hands free anymore.

I'm new to over the ear headsets. i've always been an in-ear bud user. The M300-XT is comfortable and light, and while it was secure, it kept feeling like it would fall off. That may just be me not being used to this style Set up was easy, paired right way to my computer. While using it for conference calls, i was able to walk throughout my house on multiple floors without issue. Audio quality is crisp and clear, and according to feedback from callers on the other side, there's no problems hearing me. Battery life so far has been excellent. Easily get through a workdays worth of meetings on a charge. I appreciate that it is USB-C to charge and not micro. That's one less cord now when i travel since my phone also uses USB-C The reason for 4 star is it is almost too light to the point i think it'll fall out, but again that could just be me not being used to it.

This BlueParrot headset is excellent for everyday use and comes in very handy when on the go. The most prominent feature, which is impressive, is the headset's ability to block out background noise; this feature is for the mic (user's voice), not the speakers. All calls come out loud and clear no matter where you are using the headset. Other people on the line will hear you loud and clear, without distortion and very little background noise. Very impressive! It is ultra-lightweight, comfortable to use even during prolonged use, and has extended battery life. I like the design, which I can charge with any USB-C connector (the box includes a charging cord). Other headsets have their own unique charging cables or base, and when you can't find it or lose it, you won't be able to charge it. The device is rated for dust and water protection, can be used in raining or when sweating. There is a BlueParrot app that enhances the usage of the headset and to customize some features. The main button, the blue parrot, by default is mute, but it can be changed to speed dial or push-to-talk. The app has a soundcheck function, where you record yourself speaking and then playback to hear how it sounds. One improvement needed is the speaker sound; at total volume, the sound isn't loud. This is ok since the headset isn't for music listening; it is for talking. I love using this headset, especially when driving, on the go, or in a noisy environment. Overall, I am satisfied with this product; it is lightweight, has long battery life and convenient charging, impressive noise-canceling, and comfortable.

A bit tinny – people on the other end can definitely tell you are on a headset. I couldn’t get more than 30 feet or 1 floor away from my iPhone X before it breaks up and loses connection. I was really hoping I could leave my office, go down 1 floor to get coffee while on a con call, or go down 2 flights to answer the door while on a call, etc. but not reliable enough for me to do that. (No concrete or anything either, regular drywall house.) Unless later phones have a more advanced Bluetooth technology the distance claim seems a bit overstated at 300ft! Maybe some firmware updates will help with the distance issue. I used it for some video calls connected through my brand new work laptop. Same results. Other people said they could hear me clearly, but a bit tinny/digital sounding. It is lightweight and I used it for 4 back to back 1 hour con calls and still had plenty of battery power left. It was also very comfortable to wear for 4 hours straight, so that’s a definitely a big plus. There’s a programmable button on the side, but you have to download the blue parrot app to configure and it’s only then configured for that device. I programmed it for mute, but when I switched to my PC for a call and tried to use the button it tells you to get the blue parrot app which you can't load on a pc. Pros: Lightweight Comfortable for long wear times Battery Life Programmable button (when connected to a phone/tablet that can load the app) Cons: A bit tinny sounding Distance is much less than 300 ft at least for me…

Hello ShawnInKB- Thank you for your review of the BlueParrott M300-XT; we appreciate your feedback. We are delighted to read that you like the fit and ergonomic design of the earpiece and its battery life, and the customizable BlueParrott Button. Since we only officially support the BlueParrott M300-XT for smartphones and tablets running iOS or Android, we only made the BlueParrott app available for mobile platforms. As such, you cannot use the BlueParrott app on a computer. We are sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with the range of your BlueParrott M300-XT. While the M300-XT does have an expected operating range of up to 300 feet (100 meters), that range is dependent on the supported range of the connected smartphone or tablet. That said, we regret that you find the audio quality of the BlueParrott M300-XT to be tinny; this is not what we expect. We hope you will contact our Product Support Team for us to gather more information about your situation: https://www.blueparrott.com/supportpages/blueparrott-m300-xt/204347/contact-support. I love headphones, ear phones, earbuds etc. - so when a new mono piece to wear in the car came out, I actually liked the idea because sometimes a car full of people and a car-wide conversation don’t mix. This headset takes a well known form and adds some proprietary tech behind it thanks to blueparrot (lowercase on purpose). What proprietary tech? How about push-to-talk without a Nextel or walkie talkie? Yeah, it has that. Once paired and the blueparrot App is installed, you can configure what the center button does. Personally, I use it to mute but it can be set to a number of different things, including the aforementioned walkie talkie, speed dial or launching another App like your navigation software. This headset is said to be small - but I’m not keen on that description, because I don’t think it’s small - it efficiently uses the space it takes up. It’s also said to be light - and I 110% agree with that. The way it sits in your ear is a little different than people that wear earbuds expect - it sits on the outside of the canal and doesn’t much inside, so that takes some getting used to. When I first got it, it charged for about an hour and then I went through pairing - which was seamless. Updating the firmware was possible with the blueparrot App and it took around 15 minutes and had some pretty explicit instructions: don’t close the App, reboot it, etc. - else you’re going to need to play tech support engineer if you do. 15 was way better than the 40 that the App warned me about. During the initial use, I found it extremely comfortable and during some basic use testing at home, dozed off and found it still attached to my ear - exactly the way it was left when I woke up a number of hours later. This comfort hasn’t changed, I don’t notice any pains using it. My side of the conversation was crystal clear, exactly as I’d hope from something designed to be an extension of your phone. The caller at the other end did notice a bit of ‘distance’ - not speakerphone like, but … just not the same as me holding the phone. No complaints from them and they didn’t request that I pick up the handset - it was just ‘different.’ I took it into noisy environments and was able to hear just fine. My car doesn’t have much for sound isolation, so that was a perfect test. Nice and clear and the other side said there was a faint amount of noise - but nothing like they were used to. Hearing music through this mono headset was a bit better than expected. Yes, it’s not an audiophile’s headphone but it’s not as tinny as I’d expect; there was a little vibration to indicate a subtle amount of bass. Dig it. Overall, if you’re doing a long drive - pick this up but get used to the buttons first because you need to know how to answer/hang up without thinking about it. Overall: Super comfortable Light Great sound during calls USB-C (THANK YOU!) blueparrot App is very simple Noise cancellation Cons: None that I could find, basing it on the use case for the headset

This headset does a great job at allowing you to work hands free and still be able to talk on the phone. Everyone I have spoken to on the headset compliments the audio quality! In my opinion, even though you can use this headset out and about, it is better suited for an office environment. It stands out a lot which may not be to most people's liking, unlike other bluetooth headsets that are a bit more discreet. The battery life is advertised as being up to 14 hours and the range of connection between the headset and the device is advertised as being 300ft! Those are impressive numbers! While I haven't used it for 14 hours, I haven't had to charge it yet! I have walked allover my house leaving my phone sitting in one spot and the headset connection never distorted! In an office environment, that would be very helpful for those who need to move around! The headset can be work on either ear with simple adjustments to the earpiece and microphone. You can download an app on your smart device and adjust different settings or update the firmware. There is only one thing I do not like about the headset, and to me, this is an issue that will affect my long term usage of the headset. I am not a fan of the piece that rests against your ear to transmit the audio. It is unlike most other bluetooth headsets that go into your ear canal. This headset silicone piece sits flat on the outside of your ear canal. I found that this caused me to want to fidget with the headset and push it against my ear to get sound closer into my ear. The headset comes with several sizes of silicone pieces, however, I really didn't find a comfortable size that made me want to wear it long term. I would have preferred an option that would have inserted into my ear canal. From a comfort standpoint, this design may be great, but from a listening standpoint I would prefer having an earpiece inside my ear canal.

Bought mine in March of 2022 and used it daily. Got over two years of use out of it. As of today (12/2/24) the mic has gone out this morning. Four months shy of three years of daily use at home and at work. I’ve been wanting to try one by a different brand. If I don’t like it I’ll be buying another one of these. Solid!

I had used Plantronics for years and was very happy until they ended the extended warranty. I decided to go with the Blue Parrott. After months of using this I have found that the Blue Parrott does not match up to the Plantronics. I use this with 2 phones as the Plantronics. Many times the BP drops one of the phones after a call on the other phone. The volume is less then the Plantronics. Numerous drop offs during conversations. I depend on my headset for work. Also the Plantronics has more useful features. So over all i would say it is okay but no a match for what I had. M

Best ever, great fit, lightweight, .I use all day not just for work, I can use while outside doing yard work grocery shopping, in bed, house cleaning, and many other things. The best thing is that it stays fit doesn't fall off and great sound last long charged not once did it die on me. I give this review because I did compare it to others and will continue to buy this one

I would recommend this to a friend

Its ok at best. I get alot of complaints that people think their on speaker phone when I use it. I had planetronics "voyager" before this for years but the store I went to, didnt have any in stock so I got this one cause I was told is was comparable to the Voyager, but it definitely is not! Planetronics is MUCH better. Better range, better audio quality for both the wearer and for the called party. The battery life on the Bluebird is very good though!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
