The Bose QuietComfort headphones are aptly named. The noise canceling works great and the ear buds fit comfortably in the ear. I like that there are two settings for noise control, the complete noise canceling and the aware noise canceling. Another plus is if the noise canceling battery runs out, you can continue to use it as a normal headphone. I also like the white with electric blue accent color option because it's something different than standard black or basic white.
As someone who travels a lot, these headphones will come in handy on airplanes. They come with a compact travel case, which will fit easily in a briefcase, backpack, purse, or other travel bag. The battery is supposed to last about 16 hours, which is nice for long flights.
It also has an attached mic with volume control and skip buttons for music and answer/end call for talking on the phone.
The one I bought is for Apple iOS devices. Pay attention to the package to make sure you are getting the right one. Some are for Android devices.
The one drawback is the battery is kind of big and long, but thin. So, for example, if you have the headphones connected to your phone/music player and are not sitting then both would be in your pocket because it would look strange otherwise.

Read many reviews before picking these up. Very pleased with the sound quality and the comfort. Only drawback is the noise canceling dongle but it's to be expected and Bose did a good job of minimizing the bulk. Very light weight.

they sound good, are quite comfortable, and work even when the power is turned off for the noise cancelling. not as good as the bose quiet comfort headphones for noise cancelling but much more compact for travelling. I use the earbuds now when flying and find them good enough to not carry the headphones any longer.

Purchased Bose in ear after using Bose over ear noise cancelling headphones for years. I wear glasses and the comfort of the in ear headphones combined with great noise cancelling made the flights much more enjoyable. Music sounds great on too.
Only issue is how sensitive the mic is when making calls. People comment about other people on the call if there are conversations across the room. Apple headphones do a much better job of eliminating background noise coming through mic.
Overall, great headphones if you fly a lot.

Beats gets the press and you certainly see a lot of them around. However, they are heavy, lots of fatigue when wearing them and the sound blocking is just not in the same league as Bose. Comparing Bose in-ear to over-the-ear: the in-ear are unobtrusive and far more portable. They have all the sound and space of the over-the-ear, so it was an easy call to go this these. Bose are just hands down better ... and you pay for that

Earpieces fit a little loose (good) but securely. Noise cancellation is effective but still allows voices to be heard albeit in a muted volume. I use these primarily while driving and flying. They work great. Driving was the big surprise. It hushed all extraneous road noises yet I could still keep situational awareness by hearing horns, sirens, voices. They where great for handsfree phone calls.

I purchased these earbuds after a long sleepless night in a thin walled yet upscale hotel. The next night, they worked like a charm - I heard nothing but the music I was playing. I thought, perhaps I was just so over tired that I slept too sound to hear anything. The third night was the real test! And again - Bose came through. I didn't hear people talking, or doors slamming or kids running down the hallway. I cannot say enough great things about this product. It was a little strange getting used to them on the plane ride back home - one would expect to hear the engine noise, however when you wear these in noise cancelling mode - you don't hear it! It was almost a little freaky at first because you don't think the plane is working. :) These earbuds are worth every single penny! Can't recommend more highly.

Bought these to travel international - totally worth the Money. Not only are they comfortable, do not hurt your ears after several hours, sound quality is amazing and once you initiate the noise cancellation - the world is silent. Also great for conference calls for business.

I've had these NC earphones for about 6 months now. Have used them mowing the lawn, in the office, and on planes. They work great. They are comfortable, fit well and don't fall out of your ears. I have another NC earphone but these are my preferred due to comfort and performance. It uses micro USB for charging battery so if you are on a very long flight (e.g. trans-pacific flight), you should bring a portable charger.

This is our second pair. I bought a pair for my wife a few years ago and she got me my own pair this year (probably because I kept stealing hers). I'm not an audiophile but the sound is great. They do a good job of shutting off outside noise so you can listen in noisy places without having to blast the volume. It charges using a mini-USB and the battery will last up to 6 hrs. They are very comfortable to wear and aren't as bulky as the over-the-ear models.

If you want a quality product with exceptional noise cancelling these are your headphones. Not quite as good as the Quite Comfort 15 which I have used for several years but the small size and light weight makes up for that by far. Fits nicely in the small travel pouch provided. I would suggest a hardsided case if you are shoving in a laptop bag along with your computer. A small Tupperware container works great.

Great earphone with crisp sound quality. Comfortable, but the earphone parts stick out from the ear a little. This isn't that comfortable when trying to lean side of head on pillows

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas as I had a pair myself and use them constantly for travel. She works in a noisy office environment and was looking for noise reduction head phones that were not big and bulky. These are it. She loves them and they have enabled her to be more focused in a dynamic and loud environment. I have used mine for over two years and love them! Pricey but worth it!
