    +Bass +Noise Cancellation +Soundsport compatible

Compared to my 3 year old wired soundsport with one ear working (which still sounds pretty good imo) the bass on the QC20s is much higher. There’s not too much sound leakage so I can listen louder without worrying about people hearing my earbuds leak. The noise cancellation is great even when I’m using my old soundsport wingtips (which are compatible with these) that don’t directly clog up your ear canal like everything else. It’s definitely an upgrade or my old ones just deteriorated, because on the QC20s I can hear parts of the music that I can’t hear on my soundsports. The cord on the QC20 is a bit thicker than the Soundsports except for the small cord that connects the power source to the aux. That part kinda scares me so I’ll treat it with care. Probably not my preference to have the little brick thing lugging around but it’s what makes these earbuds sound like headphones. You can opt to use the earbuds with the brick thing turned off but it’ll just sound like cheap earbuds. Overall though, great upgrade and probably the best currently made wired earbuds for me, especially since I can use my old wingtips on them.

This head phones have a good sound quality, but it is much better at noise cancelling Although I would make some changes and make it more rugged and the connections at the components somehow stronger because they are the weak points to this headphones. And they create sound failures and breakage and ripping points.

I bought these on January 9, 2018. Extremely careful use. Last month the plastic cover start to come off as you can see in the pictures. I can't believe this from Böse. I'll try to return them as a defective item.

    Best Noise Cancelling Earbuds

I purchased the Bose QC-20 earbuds to replace my old Sony noise cancelling earbuds. I tried the QC-20's out at the airport and was shocked at how well they worked. They cut out almost all the external noise and still provided a great audio sound. I used them on my trip to Europe last month and they worked great. The airplane noise was almost completely eliminated which allowed me to lower my sound volume. The sound quality is very good with a rich base which gives everything a surround-sound feel. PROS: - Best in class Noise Cancelling - Rich full sound - Audio is very clear when talking on the phone (send/receive) - Long Battery life - Batteries charges up very quickly - Able to control my iPhone volume, skip track, answer phone - Able to work even when batteries are dead - However, no noise cancelling or audio processing - Awareness button to turn-off N/C to listen to other people or announcements - Cables are quality and do not tangle - Right-angle connector fits well when connected to my phone and in my pocket. - Nice travel case - Stay put in my ear without falling out (includes 3-different sizes of earbuds) - Also great for mowing lawns, vacuuming, or operating lound equipment - just put a pair of hearing protection ear muffs over the earbuds for extreme noise cancelling. CONS - Costs $250.00 - No auto shut off to prevent battery drain Summary: Buy if you travel or need noise cancelling. The cost is very reasonable for these earbuds.

    Great noise cancelling headphones

I purchased these headphones primarily for work. We have an open work plan, and I sit near an area with high traffic during the day. My manager has a pair of these and talked me into the purchase due to the merits of the device. The noise cancelling properties are great. While it's still possible to hear your surroundings slightly when music is quiet or off, it's amazing what the difference is when listening to music at a reasonable volume. You don't need to blast the volume to drown out your surroundings, which is great. You can also turn on an awareness mode for reduced noise cancelling if you need to be more aware of your surroundings. I've also used this at the gym with great results. I've even worn them while cutting the grass. While I can still hear a slight noise from the lawn mower, the difference in volume is astounding when turning the noise cancelling off. I've been impressed with the battery life as well. There is a box on the cord where you switch on the noise cancelling that also allows you to charge it. I can go through at least a week at work (not constant use) without having to charge. While the price is high, Bose offers best in class noise cancelling and I have not regretted my purchase.

I fly a lot for a living and decided to pick up these headphone last year. I the native noise cancelation does an excellent job, especially on airplanes. The soft gel ear pieces are softer than previous bose in ear gel tips I used making them really comfortable. The only thing I do not like is battery is so close to the headphone jack it makes it awkward to stick in your pocket. At least the battery is flat so its manageble and also last about 8 hours until charge. Overall, Im extremely happy with these headphones. I think it offers the same quality AnR as over the ear headphones.

i researched noise canceling earphones for quite a while. i wanted something was extremely comfortable, masked office or plane noise, and of course had good sound. after looking at many review sites and ratings, i settled on the in-ear bose. i was originally after the over the ear style but after reading more i realized these cancel the noise slightly better and are far more packable. a charge lasts surprisingly long, they charge pretty quickly, are extremely comfortable, and they sound very good. there are earphones that sound better out there, but i don't think there's a better combination of sound, noise isolation, and portability than the qc20's!

I bought these as a replacement for my QC-3s. I loved the QC3s and wouldn't have replaced them except I was going to have to replace the leather ear pieces, a new cable and figured if I was going to put $50 in them might as well get a new headset. I probably have close to 30 different earphones and have tried just about every brand out there. I seen the QC20s and figured I would give them a try. The QC20s are nice because they are so small. I can have the travel case they came with in my pocket and I'm ready to go. They also take up 1/10th the space the QC-3s did in my backpack and as any frequent flyer knows overhead space is a premium and so the smaller my bag the better off I am traveling. Sound quality is above average but I will say is not the best I have ever heard. It has strong bass, almost overpowering but seems to be missing some on the high ends. Overall a very good sound and sound like most Bose earphones with a overall natural blend. This great sound is sometimes muddied as the ear buds do not seal out all outside noise. On a noisy flight the noise cancelation was trying to make up for the engine noise and just seemed to add to the noise. I could put my finger over the mic and it would clear up. Now walking around in a quieter area and the sound is great. A nice feature these headphones has is a switch on the remote that allows you to hear whats going on around you. It makes it nice to wear these and walk up to a counter to order food or have a conversation with someone without having to pull the ear pieces out of your ears. I kind of wonder about the battery pack life and the short doggle cable on it to plug in. I really wish there was a way to attach this to my phone instead of dangling loose and catching on everything. This is something that could be improved on. I tried to stick velcro to it but the rubber like material but it refuses to let me glue anything to it. As of now I carry a rubber band to attach to the back of my phone. I have also had the earphones give me a loud pop on several occasions (3 so far in a month of use). Not sure where it comes from but it is enough to make me jump. My only other gripe is the high price for these earphones. Is it worth it? Only time will tell. There is more to like about these than dislike but there are many earphones for much less that sound as good. Adding noise canceling technology to these is where they do shine It is nice to have ear buds with noise canceling and in such a small package makes the convenience worth it.

They have a good feel and I can wear them all day if need be. I use these primarily for work. I wanted something that was good quality but also was easy on the ears with fit. These come with three different size silicon earbud fitters. I had to mess with them a bit to find my right fit, but once I did, they fit like a glove. I can go an entire 8 hour work day with them on a charged battery. Most days, I get off work and immediately plug them in to charge. However, sometimes I forget and I can make it at least 2 8-hour work days with these. I work from home and these can handle the large number of zoom calls and other things that will drain the battery. Definitely a good buy!

These things are amazing. Expensive. But amazing. So far, I've used them on two long haul overseas flights and a handful of commuter train rides. It's really almost spooky when you put them in and then flip on the switch. When I first did this I kept flipping the power on and off to just be blown away by the difference. As advertised, they don't cut out everything from the outside. There are some frequencies - I suppose - that just don't get wholly blocked. Still, this is one of those things I wished I'd just bitten the bullet and gotten long ago. I like the corded option for this as opposed to the wireless for no other reason then you need the plug for use on airlines. If it was just being used on my various iStuff, I'd probably have opted for the wireless. My only concerns about this thing are as follows: * I'd seen reviews - which I can understand - that are concerned about longevity of the cord connection. There's no real way I can judge this yet, but it does seem a bit odd how close the battery/control portion is to the plug. When it's plugged into a device, it potentially hangs in a way that causes pressure to the plug and I can see where over time, this could cause wear or a cord break. Similarly, when plugged in to an airliner headset jack, it hangs down a bit. There may have been little other choice as if it was higher up it would maybe pull on the ear pieces, but it's something to take care with. Still, I'm giving 5 stars because those are just concerns to treat this thing with a little bit of care, but it totally gets the job done. * The earbuds do take getting used to. Due to the design - which does work very well for keeping them in - you do have to get used to which way to put them in. (As opposed to simple round ear buds.) But I'm getting used to that and in the end, they're better in that they stay put better than others. It's just something to get used to is all.

    Better Than Over-The-Ear Bose QC

I travel light, so I wanted ear-bud style noise cancellation headphones. I have an older Bose over-the-ear version QC-3 and I feel the noise cancellation of the QC-20 are almost as good. Sound quality is close to QC-3 and for travel it is essentially equivalent. I am very pleased with the QC-20 and feel they are an excellent alternative to the over-the-ear version. It is important to size the earbud so there is a tight seal - despite that I found them comfortable for 5-6 hr flights. A critical thing to adjust if you have an iPhone is the EQ setting. I found the sound quality gets muddy with the noise cancellation on with most of the EQ settings. I found it best to either turn the EQ off or choose "flat" to keep the sound balanced. This can be found under the Music section of iPhone settings. The other great features are it works without turning on the noise cancellation to save battery, it can be used for taking phone calls, and you can plug into the airplane entertainment system (unlike Bluetooth).

    - Great sound - Fantastic in ear fit - Comfortable - Corded for ease of use on airplane - Use with my iPhone 7 (no jack) using bluetooth dongle - On noisy commuter BART train still hear ambient noise even with noise cancellation on - over ear headphones probably better than this in-ear style BUT in-ear more comfortable over long periods. - Long battery life so far

I have always loved Bose in ear headphones, but these are my first for the noise cancelling ones. They are comfortable, the sound is great, and the noise cancelling is exactly what I needed. My husband and I both have our desks set up in our basement. He is working remote, and I am in school full-time taking online courses. With the headphones on, I am still able to concentrate since the noise cancelling feature allows me to drown out my husband’s voice when he is on his conference calls. Well worth the price.

I bought these as a gift for someone who is happy with the typical Apple provided ear buds. Unfortunately, their old ear buds wore out and a new set was needed. I decided that this Bose set would make a nice gift for a person who does travel every few months by plane. The sound quality is really good in noise cancelling mode. I was concerned with the ear bud and the extra structure to keep them in place... not a problem, they feel more comfortable than just "bud" designed ear phones. The only issue I have with these is the very short lead coming off the battery power supply controller. I fear that this will crack and fail early. I am told by friends with Bose product experience not to worry, Bose will take care of their customers if a failure happens.

I have been a Bose fan for many years. I have two teenage daughters who are into music, and they spend a lot of time with earbuds in, whether intot their phones or ipods. I made the mistake of letting them use mine one day, and I knew I was in trouble. These headphones quickly came up every time we spoke about Christmas or Birthdays, so I finally broke down. These earbuds are noise cancelling. While not as good as Around the Ear headphones, the noise cancelling effects are awesome. They are comfortable to wear for long periods of time, and the difference it makes, even when compared to other Bose earbuds that are not noise cancelling, is very noticeable. They are expensive, but you really do get what you pay for with these earbuds.

I also have the QC15 which I've owned for a couple of years. They are great however on my last plane ride, which was a red eye, they were so bulky and uncomfortable to try and sleep in so I looked at getting something more lightweight but still offered the same high level of noise cancelling. These fit the bill perfectly. Super lightweight and comfortable. The only thing I don't really care for is the big dongle hanging from the cord which controls the noise cancelling but I can deal with it. Are they expensive? Yes, but they're worth it to me, especially on long trips. I also like that they don't take up so much room in my luggage like the QC 15 with it's large case. Overall very happy with the purchase.

they sound good, are quite comfortable, and work even when the power is turned off for the noise cancelling. not as good as the bose quiet comfort headphones for noise cancelling but much more compact for travelling. I use the earbuds now when flying and find them good enough to not carry the headphones any longer.
